First off, our reservation was never even held. When we showed up, they had no rooms for us. On top of that, the price we were quoted wasn't what we were charged -- we were overbilled and had to argue to get money refunded. We were promised suites, but only one of the three rooms ended up being a suite. The elevator was broken the entire stay. My father is disabled, my sister is five months pregnant, and my mom had a broken rib and punctured lung. No one at the hotel offered help -- we had to beg the maintenance man to carry luggage. Staff were literally dragging cleaning carts up the stairs because corporate clearly refuses to give them the resources they need. Housekeeping never once came to clean our rooms in five days. When we checked out, suddenly our reservation "showed up" in their system -- and we were told "sometimes that happens." My parents' room was right next to a staircase and they were woken up constantly. My sister's room reeked of marijuana, and when she asked to be moved, they put her in a musty, humid room that was just as miserable. Here's the kicker: when we contacted corporate afterward, they told us because we didn't complain during the stay, we had no recourse. In other words, they punished us for not yelling at the overworked staff, who were clearly trying their best with nothing to work with. This is not a staff problem. This is a corporate problem. Best Western should be ashamed of how they run this hotel. Save yourself the stress -- stay anywhere else.

The second room (#19) smelled OK. Clean sheets, hot shower with good towels, comfortable mattresses in a quiet location away from the traffic noise of the road. We had a decent night sleep and hit the road refreshed early the next morning. No continental breakfast provided. Free coffee & coffee maker in the room. $5 charge for one small dog per night. Total was $104.40 after taxes booked on Expedia.

Big rigs fly by on the road just outside all day and night - often engine breaking to add to the noise. I was in a corner 3rd floor room this last time, and despite white noise at full volume on one phone and earbuds in with soft music coming from the other, it was still loud to the point I called the front desk about 1: 00 asking for another room - but none were available. I'm not a light sleeper and colleagues have also said they slept poorly. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and comfortable - 5 stars. The breakfast is good (with higher protein options) and the location is convenient as well - easy to get in and out of. Can't decide if I'll go back. Perhaps I'll call first to see if I can be guaranteed an even-numbered room...

The Elevator was out of order. The gentleman in line ahead of us asked about the location of the gym. He then was asked if he wanted a first floor room due to the inoperable elevator and he said yes. Hmmm. Then when my husband and I (in our 60s and me with an injured right knee) were being checked in, she told us we were on the 3rd floor and that she hoped we did not have alot of luggage. Not good. We inquired about the availability of a first floor room and were told that they were sold out. Serious demerit for giving the first floor room to the workout oriented buck ahead of us in line. The hotel is well appointed and the room was seemingly clean but smelled like cigarette smoke. The temperature was difficult to control. My oura ring said my overnight body temp was +.08 which is very unusual for me. The bed was hard. It was quiet overnight and that was a plus. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with lots of towels. However when the fan was turned on in the bathroom, it sounded like a jet engine was in there with you. A helpful feature for them is a text in the morning asking what your intended check out time was so they could plan. That is efficient. The lobby was spacious with late night snack and food offerings with a microwave available. In short, I would likely only come here again failing other known quantities in overnight accommodations in Batavia.

We happened to drive by the Miami Motel driving home to Buffalo from Penn Yan a couple weeks prior to staying. When driving by, the retro feel was immediately evident and you could just tell this wasn't your average motel. After staying, it definitely is not. I immediately googled it and decided we had to stay there based on the look and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. A week later we were trying to decide what to do for our upcoming anniversary and shortly after our stay was booked! We booked a king jacuzzi room mid-week, the reservation was made over the phone, our credit card was taken, but nothing was charged until checkout. The personal touch of actually making a reservation over the phone is one of many we received. We checked in and were told we were in one of their bungalows which included a car port. The owners were incredibly nice both at check in and during our more extended conversation at check out. They have owned the motel for quite a while and we loved hearing the history and what they had done with it. You can tell they are the type that are constantly working on things so I'm sure there will always be more coming. Make sure to take some time in the office to look around, they decor is perfect. From the couch to the beachy knick-knacks to the photos of the motel in the past, there is a lot to look at! Pre-COVID times they offered a continental breakfast, they do still have coffee in the lobby. We absolutely loved our bungalow. We parked our car in the carport, opened our door with the key (yes an actual key) and went inside. They bungalow rooms are quite large with full bathrooms as well as another area with the jacuzzi, mini fridge, bar seating and a wet bar and Keurig. Everything about the room was comfortable and inviting. So much so that we really didn't even want to go out for dinner! You could easily bring a good book and some food and lock yourself in for a couple days without leaving. We are looking forward to a winter trip and doing just that! Because it was a gorgeous day we did enjoy a cup of coffee at the table and chairs in our carport. We also had a nice grassy area behind us where I spent some time reading in the sun. This place may not be on the lake or have a pool, but we found it to be a wonderful place to relax. The location is convenient to everything, just a few short miles to the main part of town as well as shopping areas with Wegmans and Starbucks if needed. We found the price to be incredibly reasonable for what we room and service we received. This is definitely going to be a getaway favorite for us, especially with the close proximity to Buffalo. Trust me and the pictures, you'll love your stay here. The hospitality of the owners and the retro look to the motel would be enough, but everything else is perfect as well!

You should give me a full refund". And I left. I drove right by my next Hampton Inn reservation in Ohio 8 hours later. And drove straight home. The Hampton Inn in Geneseo to speak to "Stephanie" today inquiring about where my refund was. She asked what happened and I explained. She said " someone should have offered you another room ". I replied "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." She said, " Well I was going to give you a $50 refund but I'm not, because you're cussing at me!" I said " I sure hope you're recording this call, because I haven't cussed " at you" once! She said, " You said "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." I said" That is not cussing at you, I'm talking about packing my shit up!" She hung up on me. I'm done with Hampton Inn completely. They clearly can't make a repeat guest comfortable and I drive for a living. I'll be staying elsewhere.
