Our room had a nice TV and workstation, the bed was comfy, the HVAC and Wi-Fi worked well, and the bath and shower were fine. Included breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, home fries, a waffle machine, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bananas and apples, oatmeal, breads, and pastries. The only odd thing about our stay was the check-in process. The attendant wasn't very friendly and was so slow and silent while working on her computer, we feared that our reservation had vaporized and drifted away into cyberspace somewhere. read more

Stayed here for a very uncomfortable few hours on my way to Georgia on the 9th of July. After trying to sleep for a few hours, I realized the AC was broken. By now it was 12:30 am. I thought "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." I packed and ran into the night manager on the way out. I told him his ac was broken. He said " It'll freeze up if you crank it all the way down!" I replied "Is 69 degrees cranking it all the way down?!" He told me I could change rooms. I told him thought "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." I'm leaving. He told me he could refund $50. I started laughing and said "that's ridiculous, it's not even 1 am. You should give me a full refund". And I left. I drove right by my next Hampton Inn reservation in Ohio 8 hours later. And drove straight home. The Hampton Inn in Geneseo to speak to "Stephanie" today inquiring about where my refund was. She asked what happened and I explained. She said " someone should have offered you another room ". I replied "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." She said, " Well I was going to give you a $50 refund but I'm not, because you're cussing at me!" I said " I sure hope you're recording this call, because I haven't cussed " at you" once! She said, " You said "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." I said" That is not cussing at you, I'm talking about packing my shit up!" She hung up on me. I'm done with Hampton Inn completely. They clearly can't make a repeat guest comfortable and I drive for a living. I'll be staying elsewhere. read more

Front desk lady Lisa is an absolute nightmare. Complete lack of hospitality and concept of customer service. Her rudeness during my check in and out of the hotel caused undue stress on me and my fellow travelers. read more

The only two positives I have is the hotel was clean, and the front desk staff (Yorlady) was very friendly. As for the rest of our stay please see below... I found a new years eve event on Facebook stating that this hotel was going to have a family friendly event for the evening. It included a pizza party, hot chocolate bar, snacks, a photo booth and the pool would be open to anyone who booked this event from 10pm till 1am. Paid $298 for my two boys and I to attend. My best friend booked it for her and her son to attend also. SO that's just shy of $600 you got from us. The "pizza party" and event in the lobby was not anything we thought it was going to be. The lady watching over the pizza party started yelling at my son for getting a little juice which I know wasn't included but it was still on, no sign saying it was out of order, nothing. Adults were getting the juice as well and she didn't start yelling at them, she said that they weren't allowed to get more but still let them fill a few cups for their families. But she came around the corner yelling at my son saying that he isn't allowed behind the counter and that we are only allowed what is in front of her. Then after we each get one piece of pizza... one piece she tells us that a lot of families booked this event and that we are limited to what we are allowed to have. She wanted to limit us 5 to one piece of pizza, one cup of hot chocolate each. You upcharge this event and got $600 from us, for us to have 5 slices of pizza, 5 cups of hot chocolate, a bag of chips each, a piece of candy each, and we have to take our own photos in the "photo booth" with just the props and banner on the wall. We thought that you were going to have a small family friendly dance party\event in the lobby so we can bring in the new year but it was nothing going on. So instead we decide to use the pool seeing it was only for the people who booked for this special event. Nope that wasn't the case either. Pool was still open to anyone staying in the hotel. I know this because we had to wear bright orange wrist bands for the "events" but no one was checking those. So I could have saved quite a bit of money and my best friend as well just booking a normal stay instead of paying all the extra which seemed to be open to everyone anyways. read more

I loveeee this hotel. The people at the front desk are friendly but don't expect them to know much about wedding shuttles because those are offered through a third party. The room is huge, beds are comfy, everything was very clean and the complimentary breakfast was amazing as far as free breakfasts go! They even had green smoothies made with chobani yogurt! Such a vast selection of goodies. Plus they have refrigerators and microwaves in the room so you can always sneak extras upstairs. There isnt much of a view from the hotel but there are plenty places to eat fast food or chain restaurants. There is also a beloved Wegmans right down the road for out of towners to check out! read more

Clean place and friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast isn't anything to write home about, but it fills the hole and starts the day okay. The Hot Tub/Jacuzzi - this is one of the FEW places I've stayed where the hot tub actually works correctly, no clogged jets, the temp is right. We got in the tub thinking it was already on (based on our experiences with very weak jets in hot tubs at other hotels), then wondered why it wasn't turning off. I got out, walked up to the timer and gave it a twist and suddenly that hot tub came to life - talk about relaxing! I think the hotel itself is a bit pricey but it still turned out to be a great stay, and probably the cleanest spot in the area for for several miles. read more

I always try to book HIlton chain hotels as I am a silver member. Not too many choices in Geneseo itself, anyway. The hotel is clean, conveniently located near Wegmans and several eateries, and just a short drive to SUNY Geneseo which is what we needed. I feel that breakfast could have been a bit better-only choice of pork for breakfast meat, would have been nice to have turkey or chicken sausage; the potatoes were kind of bland, and there was only one type of yogurt available. But, they did have hard-boiled eggs, biscuits, bagels, English muffins, so it's not like one would go hungry, this was enough to start the day. read more

Stayed one night just before Labor Day weekend. It's a very nice, well appointed hotel. Pro: clean, new hotel with a better than average free breakfast. Excellent mattresses and pillows. Con: very pricy for what you're getting. I'm not sure if hotel rates are just high in this area but we paid enough for a suite in most parts of the country for a regular room here. There was no special events going on and the hotel appeared to be far short of full. When we went to check out, there was no one at the front desk at 10am. Even ringing the bell only got the attention of a maintenance guy resealing the asphalt outside. We just dropped our key cards off and left. read more

I accidentally found this hotel and booked it for my trip November 23 2017. I was pleasantly surprised how great it was. The staff was very friendly and polite. The bed was very comfortable, the pool and hot tub were a great place to relax in the evening. The breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel read more

Nice, clean hotel. Hampton's are on the upper end usually in my opinion. Quiet for sleeping with some good food options and stores near by. I travel a lot for work so all things considered I will book mark this Hampton. read more

That I didn't like or had a problem with, and the Hampton Inn in Geneseo is no different. I'm a gold club member so this review might have some bias (smiley face). Located just outside of downtown and a short drive off I-390, it sits next to a bowling alley and a steak, seafood, Italian restaurant. It's just a short drive to a beautiful downtown and SUNY campus and there's a couple of strip malls and a Wal-Mart, basically across and down the street. As with every other Hampton Inn, this one was clean outside and in. The staff friendly, professional and knows the local area well enough to recommend a good place to eat and have a drink. The room, spotless. TV has a wide variety of channels, bathroom amenities acceptable, except this one didn't have shower gel (I had my own anyway). My room only had a stand-up shower, no tub, which didn't bother me, but if you prefer a tub, make an inquiry when booking. In - wall AC/Heating worked very well, quietly. Room lighting very sufficient, bed very comfortable. When business brings me back, I'll certainly stay here. read more

Stayed here for work one night. Everything was fantastic. The hotel was brand new with the latest decor. The room was clean and breakfast was great. I slept like a baby in my king sized bed. The front desk staff was very nice and courteous. I received complementary candy, drinks chips, and pistachios! Denny's is open 24 hours right next door. Will definitely be here again! read more

Brand new hotel in Geneseo, NY. It looks and feels like your typical Hampton Inn. Rooms are very clean, fairly spacious. Free breakfast with the usual stuff as other Hamptons. Friendly staff. Good place to stay if you are in the area. Near the university. Plenty of food and shopping choices near the hotel. read more

Excellent overall. I'm a HHonors Diamond and love this Hampton and staff especially. Everyone is extremely responsive and friendly. I've stayed here a bunch of times, only the Manager is a bit grumpy at times, but the other staff, breakfast, maintenance, and especially the Assistant Manager, Chris make up for her (they should promote him). They have the to go bags if you're in a hurry, the rooms are great, always clean and well maintained. At other Hampton's I see A/C or refrigerator issues all the time, not here. The only con is the construction of the building is a bit flimsy and sound travels sometimes, the high ceilings may contribute to the sound traveling. Other than that, the Manager's attitude at times, and higher than normal prices it's perfect. It's a five star in my opinion. read more
