If you have no other option, you can stay here, but I expected much better from a Hampton Inn. The hospitality industry is all about making guests feel welcome. After all, hotels and motels refer to their customers as guests, and the front desk staff should reflect that attitude. When we arrived, the front desk employee was on the phone. He didn't even look up to acknowledge us or offer a simple greeting. Instead, we stood there waiting while he finished his conversation at his own pace before finally attending to us. The room itself was another disappointment. It felt very damp and had a musty, moldy smell. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, which likely contributed to the moisture problem. The bed linens and covers did not feel freshly washed or clean. Fortunately, I always travel with my own throw blanket and pillow, so I ended up using those instead. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and the customer service fell short of what I expect from a hotel brand like Hampton Inn. Another excellent experience at Hampton Inn Corbin. Kimber was friendly and helpful at check-in. We were thankful for the free waters! Our room was very clean, and smelled clean. The furnishings were in good shape, and the bathroom was clean with updated finishes and lots of counter space. The a/c worked very well, and we appreciated the option of having just the fan on while we slept so the compressor going on/off didn't constantly wake us up. Breakfast was adequate, but I miss the biscuits w/sausage gravy and the fresh fruit they used to serve. Coffee was decent, and several options available for flavored creamers, sweeteners, etc. The other guests we encountered were all very nice and polite. We heard no noise from our neighbors at night, so we got a good night's sleep. read more

Great staff. Super folk. Great dark rooms (excellent). But the sheets were not as .. nice .. not soft .. they were harsh .. something was off. Not the standard expected at Hampton. The coffee in the morning was disgusting. And no cream .. oh, plenty of "coffee mate", in a multitude of flavors but no real half and half (or whole milk). Never use products that far removed from the original. Disappointing way to start the day. Lots of hand sanitizer around .. good job. How about some soap in the lobby restroom? Very clean and well maintained hotel. When we arrived the front desk person was polite and couteous. When we got to our room I received a text asking how it was. Our room had a broken toilet handle and I reported this back on the text. It was fixed within an hour. The maintenance man was extremely courteous. The next morni g the breakfast area was super clean and I saw workers continously cleaning and spraying disinfectant. I was just looking to find a bed to sleep in while we were in town for a concert. I'm a Hilton Honors member and had some points to spend, and this was pretty much the only option. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this Hampton Inn is!! Upon arriving, I noticed that there was a sign stating that the rooms are newly renovated. Ours was very nice and felt like just that. If you're a Hilton Honors member, you can use the app to check in/out and use as your room key, which is REALLY nice! We never had to go to the front desk once. As of 10/23/21, they were doing construction on the outside of the hotel. They had a good chunk of parking closed off, and when we came back late Saturday night, we ended up having to park at a hotel next door and walk up a hill to the Hampton... I just wish they would have warned us or let us know a better alternative for parking! In the daytime we didn't have any issues, though. Whether you're just road-tripping by or are coming to Corbin for a bit, this hotel is a great option! read more

I was a little nervous after looking at some reviews, but we found this place to be clean and comfortable. The wifi was a little slow, but to be fair I was trying to upload pretty big files. They have an outdoor heated pool. The employees were very kind. There are cookies when you arrive, I didn't try them, but the kiddos were thrilled. The breakfast area was clean and well maintained. This is a nice, basic place to stay. The rooms are clean and pleasant, and everything is clean, except for some bits of renovation here and there. The mess was nothing excessive, and obviously, great pains were taken to make it as neat as possible. The big thing for me was the complimentary breakfast. This was delicious. Unlike some chains that put out stale pastries and bagels and call that breakfast, this breakfast included western omelettes, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, and fruit. Also, the coffee was very good. Easy to find off the high way and extremely friendly staff. The room was a bit dated (though the tv look brand new) and the bed wasn't super comfy. Though dated, everything was EXTREMELY clean. The most special part was the breakfast - all the fixins as KY locals would say. Prepared by two kind ladies, this breakfast was amazing. I chowed down on biscuits and gravy, while my family enjoyed omlettes and fresh donuts. The Hampton Inn seems to be the best travel stop off this exit. Older hotel, great beds, clean. Needs updating. The hot breakfast is pretty good. We actually chose to stay here (repeat customer) simply because my husband loves the biscuits and gravy, which the owner makes from a home family recipe every day. They are really really good. 3 stars are because the pool is outdoors, so no hot tub to enjoy after a long car trip and the shower left much to be desired, low pressure and the shower head is up way to high for short people to adjust. This hotel would get an extra star if they update. Also, the night staff is less than friendly. But it's late at night, you can't expect sunshine and rainbows. read more

This is an older hotel. The beds are nice, but the building and rooms are dated and run down. The place needs a refresh to be sure. That said, the staff were all very nice, and the beds were comfortable. We always try to stay at Hampton whenever we can. We found this one right off the highway on our way home from Florida. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities we have become used to receiving. The best thing we like about staying at Hampton is the clean Duvet Cover we get at every check-in. The cookies and coffee that are available at night are great and I especially like the ones with the M & M''s. The breakfast in the morning was very good. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. My husband is a Diamond Elite Hilton Honors member, so we always stay at Hilton properties when we travel. This is my third time staying at the Hampton Inn in Corbin as we have family in town. The location is very convenient for us, which is why we stay here. The staff is also very friendly, full of southern hospitality. We are currently here at Easter time, and there are nice spring/Easter decorations all around. Breakfast is hot and ready. Plenty of hot water for four showers in a row in the morning as well. However, there are some disappointments to our stay. As a family of five, we really need larger room, a suite or something similar, which is not offered at this location. We also need an indoor pool to exercise the kids, which when asked, the hotel staff said we could utilize the hotel down the street's pool (NOT convenient). The hotel generally is well maintained, linens are clean and all, but has an air of being old and getting "icky" (1/2 thick grout in bathroom that is dirty dark brown instead of light grey like its edges) as well as sticky tile and carpet. I would not put my baby on the floor to walk/crawl around at all. Overall, it's passable, but expect better from Hilton properties. Every time we're here, my husband says, "They should put a Hilton Garden Inn up instead." read more

The hotel staff is extremely friendly. The hallways have a beautiful new baby combined with floral like scent in them. The rooms are very clean. The hotel is very inviting. Our room was spacious. The hot breakfast was a good variety of western omelets, smoked sausage, biscuits, gravy, pastries, ceareal, oatmeal, waffles,hardboiled eggs and cereal. Very li.ited tv channels even though they do have hbo. With traveling with kids bring a dvd player with hdmi cable. Don't stay here. If necessary, there is a Hampton Inn at the next exit, London, KY. The staff is nice but nothing works. The lady who checked us in warned us that the door lever had to be rotated upward instead of downward like all the others in the world. The TV would only give a half-sized picture. We tried every button on the remote and finally called the front desk. We needed to press Mute twice to get a full screen. We actually stayed here twice separated by two weeks. Since we are Hilton Honors members at a high level, we thought we would give a second chance. A mistake. The second time, my door key would not open the door and needed to get it re-programmed. Never did get either key to open the outside door nearest our room which was a serious problem for my wife who was having problems walking that day. It was a nuisance to be in loading and unloading the car. The Hilton Honors WiFi never worked. The front desk said that seldom works and I should connect a different way. The room was either too hot or too cold to sleep because there is no digital thermostat, just a knob on the window unit. I thought every Hilton location was digital. I had called ahead in plenty of time and requested that the duvet be removed and replaced with a light blanket. It did not happen. I always make the same request at Hilton properties and this was the first time it was not honored. I replaced the duvet myself even though I was recovering from shoulder surgery. Discovered that we had only one blanket for 2 beds so one person had to suffer no matter what. I don't mind paying double what the Motel Six (or whatever) across the street charges but I expect for Hampton Inn service. I made it clear to the nice staff that I didn't blame them; in fact I felt sorry for them having to deal with the problems. read more

We thought this hotel was great! It was clean, pretty, nicely decorated. It had modern appliances, microwave, fridge, flat screen, cable with HBO. Bed was huge and comfy, with awesome pillows. Shower was great, with adjustable massage head. They supplied coffee, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturizer, mouth wash and a shower cap (which I found funny, I mean, who uses those anymore?!?!) The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was great. The actual taste of the food was probably the best hotel food I've ever had. The old ladies cooking it had about 140 years of southern cooking experience between them. The biscuits and gravy was actually some if the best I've ever had (and I grew up in NC. I KNOW buscuits and gravy!) Overall, it was the cheapest hotel we could find on I-75, at $99 for a King suite, and is definitely go back every time! read more

Every time we are in Corbin this is our hotel of choice. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The housekeeping service is wonderful! Everything is always clean when we check in & the housekeeping makes sure it stays that way during our entire stay. The nightly rates are good for the room & service. Stayed here on the way back to Michigan. The hotel is really great and relaxing. The morning breakfest is big and tasty. The only downside we had while there was that one of the emplyee local family members took over the pool and we could not really use it well. Sign says for guests only. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting nearby Cumberland Falls Park. So impressed with this hotel! It sits high up, so good views of the mountains. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
