Only issue was a family in the room next door that allowed their child/children to run up and down the halls for a while. Thankfully it was early and they calmed down or left. My room was nicely arranged, and had plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports. The bathroom was bright and clean and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was much better than average for a free breakfast. There weee options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free guests. The spinach and Swiss cheese quiches were excellent. Oatmilk was available as well. The breakfast attendant was keeping everything clean, and all the food was hot and fresh. The check-in employee was very nice and explained the hotel offerings. The room numbering made me do a double take because, well, just look at the picture. My room was on the backside of the hotel next to the trampoline park. I didn't get a good night's sleep since they were playing loud music throughout the night. If you stay here, ask for a room that is on the front of the hotel since I think that would be much more quieter. I booked my reservation on Hotels.com and redeemed one of my reward nights and paid less than $5 in tax and fees to say here for the night. Upon check-in I provided my credit card for any incidentals. Upon check-out I was told I was good to go since I've already prepaid. I get home and look at my credit card statement to see I was charged a full night instead of the incidental charge. I called the hotel and was told a new employee made a mistake and would reverse the charge. That's fine, mistakes happen but it's now been a month and the charge still hasn't been reversed. 2 stars because of loudness and poor customer service regarding my credit card statement.

The staff were incredibly helpful at check-in and suggested where I should park based on my room's location. I did have some difficulties finding the location, even with GPS, as you can't easily see it from the road. You basically drive through a bank parking lot and it's tucked behind it. There are SO MANY RESTAURANTS nearby to choose from. I honestly don't know what Somerset's about (is it a college town? Something with horses? State capitol?) to need all these restaurants, but I was thankful they were here. It was just a town I was driving through on my way somewhere else. Staff were great, room was ideal, I was spoiled with dining choices, and the morning breakfast bar was perfect. Couldn't ask for anything better.

I was told that it would automatically populate after making the reservation. I thought I would wing it this time, not write any confirmation down and see what would happen when I reached Somerset. I reach the hotel to check in and they have me on file! Yay! Everything was smooth there. Then, I go to my King bed room and the only issue I have found was the thermostat for the heat pump. There are two bottoms on the bottom and an up and down arrow on the right hand side. From left to the right, the bottom buttons are for fan control and the heating and cooling options (those work fine). It was the arrow buttons that were the nuisance. I had to press them so many time just to get the desired temperature. I am thinking this will need to be replaced soon. At first, I thought the room was going to stay on 69 cold and I was like, "OMG!!" (Right now in Kentucky, it is like super humid and hot outside (even at like 3 a.m. in the morning) and so I need really cool temperatures. My house is at 66 (but that is mostly to keep the centipedes from running amok, they hate cold temperatures).

After all, hotels and motels refer to their customers as guests, and the front desk staff should reflect that attitude. When we arrived, the front desk employee was on the phone. He didn't even look up to acknowledge us or offer a simple greeting. Instead, we stood there waiting while he finished his conversation at his own pace before finally attending to us. The room itself was another disappointment. It felt very damp and had a musty, moldy smell. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, which likely contributed to the moisture problem. The bed linens and covers did not feel freshly washed or clean. Fortunately, I always travel with my own throw blanket and pillow, so I ended up using those instead. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and the customer service fell short of what I expect from a hotel brand like Hampton Inn. I would not choose to stay here again unless there were no other available options

Our stay at this place was a total disappointment. First I booked on Priceline which was easy, however our room looked nothing like what we had booked. Our room was super outdated, the walls had spill drips everywhere, mold in the shower area on the walls. Stains on the black carpet. The room of which I thought I booked was updated nice wood floors, nice updated bathroom, not what we walked into. My husband and I were waking up with new bug bites every morning but we were thinking it was chigger bites because we were outside a lot. After research it looked like they could have been bed bug bites but we couldn't find any. We were so confused. So we had our bedding changed just in case on 6/14/26. Which we asked for our room to be cleaned that day and it wasn't, when we got back at 3:30pm, I had to call down and try to get my room cleaned. Anyways, the morning of, the 15th, we got up and we found a bug on the bed and we used google lens and ChatGPT of both which said it was a bed bug. I then looked up a bunch of pictures of bed bugs and sure enough, that's what it was. My husband called down to the front desk right away and the lady came upstairs, saw it for herself, grabbed the bug after taking a picture and threw it away. She said it was disgusting and apologized and said someone would call me as we were getting ready to head out and nobody from management or owner was going to be in until 10:30 or later. A manger called me at 12pm and said all they could do was refund the early check in fee of $35 and that they checked the room there was nothing there and the picture that was taken was blurry so they couldn't tell exactly what it was. My husband has over 40 bed bug bites on him, I have a handful and thankfully my baby was sleeping in a bassinet set up and hoping she doesn't get any on the way home. They made it seem like we bottled one up and put it there on purpose over the phone. This isn't just a small inconvenience this is itchiness and pain for 1-3 weeks and we have to figure out how to clean EVERYTHING and not drag them into my house and all they did was refund us an early check in fee!?! The lady I talked to said they were going to call back and I never received a call. I waited exactly a whole week later and called back asking for a GM or owner as they promised one would call me back. The owner was there and said there are no bugs, they take it seriously and can assure me someone did call me even though I have no voicemail or missed call from them. As I was explaining things and making it known I was unhappy, I was being talked over and it was end of there day and instead of looking into some kind of compensation or solution now, they are dragging it out another day and are suppose to call me back. They did call me back and again they don't have bugs it could have gotten there many ways and not doing anything other than the early check in fee and corporate said they can't do anything either. Unacceptable and do not stay here. Spend your money else where on a place that is clean, doesn't false advertise and somewhere that will take care of you if something were to happen.

The room has a couch in the entry way, king sized bed (photo 9 out of 108) and a really nice looking shower in the bathroom (photo 29 out of 108). The issues I have found on my first day here is that the spray from the sink goes off to the side (room 23) and the t.v., though a big improvement to the cable package since last time (has travel channel, Discovery, etc.) has a set volume. Every time I hit the volume button, it has two options (shows icons of headphones and tv), but the increase and decrease of the volume is only shown over the headset icon. From the remote itself, I cannot cursor to the t.v. icon (which is how I think could increase the volume) and so I have to stay with a set low volume. It kind of aggravated me. Apparently, it seems like it is random. In the morning, the volume changed over to speakers. Weird. The breakfast today was great. The sausage patties were cooked well. They also have cheese omelets which makes this location unique. The only item I did not see was yogurt (which I do not usually eat anyway, but I see at other hotels). The juice dispenser has four options (orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, and water). I always love taking the cranberry juice if its an option. The breakfast board, that lists out the items for what will be put out for breakfast every day is a bit misleading though. They have sausage patty listed for one day and the rest they have "sausage." I thought it may have been sausage links, but I had just seen sausage patties. One might as well take the time to write the whole two words out. It would have been nice to see sausage links though to change things up.

I found this place months ago and my initial plans in February fell through, so on July 3rd as I planned a work related adventure in the area, I remembered this place. I called pretty much at the last minute and was welcomed by Michelle. She isn't actually onsite but met us a few miles away (not because we were lost or anything). I will admit, I'm extremely picky when it comes to hotels and resorts, so I was worried and didn't want to commit before checking it out. Michelle was extremely gracious and showed us around the entire house. It passed the test and I chose the "Lakeside" room. The room had it's own bathroom, and was immaculate. It was the only room in the inn with a private patio. When we first arrived it was loud because it overlooks the lake and it was a busy weekend. The view... why do we travel out of state when we have so much beauty within Kentucky?! The bad news: it's on the market for sale... If you have $775,000 and decide to buy this place, hit me up because I'd love to stay here again. The owner, Mr. Noble was a bit unwelcoming at first, as Michelle was showing us around. I guess that's what he pays her for anyway. As he sat in the living room, watching The History Channel on the community tv, my talkative husband got him to open up and he explained that this was Mrs. Noble's dream and she passed away five years ago. They built the 8,000 square ft home ten years ago. Breakfast was prepared by Michelle and we ate in a community setting, there was only one other couple and Mr. Noble. I don't mind the shared seating because I cruise a lot and that's the norm on a cruise. But if you don't like that, a B&B probably isn't for you. I don't think that I would've enjoyed it as much if the house were full to capacity. Check out was at 11:00 and they were expecting a full house in the 4th. The price was a bit steep, over double the rate that I was quoted in February. I think that if they were to lower the rate on non holidays and weekdays, I bet they would get more visitors. All in all, it's a great getaway with an awesome view.

Friendly hosts that are great at helping you find attractions or nearby restaurants. We've stayed in others, but this is one of the best.
