So my second experience here was not too bad; however, still some issues. I was able to check in and get a king size bed room on the 1st floor (hated climbing the stairs the first time). The room has a couch in the entry way, king sized bed (photo 9 out of 108) and a really nice looking shower in the bathroom (photo 29 out of 108). The issues I have found on my first day here is that the spray from the sink goes off to the side (room 23) and the t.v., though a big improvement to the cable package since last time (has travel channel, Discovery, etc.) has a set volume. Every time I hit the volume button, it has two options (shows icons of headphones and tv), but the increase and decrease of the volume is only shown over the headset icon. From the remote itself, I cannot cursor to the t.v. icon (which is how I think could increase the volume) and so I have to stay with a set low volume. It kind of aggravated me. Apparently, it seems like it is random. In the morning, the volume changed over to speakers. Weird. The breakfast today was great. The sausage patties were cooked well. They also have cheese omelets which makes this location unique. The only item I did not see was yogurt (which I do not usually eat anyway, but I see at other hotels). The juice dispenser has four options (orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, and water). I always love taking the cranberry juice if its an option. The breakfast board, that lists out the items for what will be put out for breakfast every day is a bit misleading though. They have sausage patty listed for one day and the rest they have "sausage." I thought it may have been sausage links, but I had just seen sausage patties. One might as well take the time to write the whole two words out. It would have been nice to see sausage links though to change things up. read more

I typically do not leave reviews but because of how our situation was handled I feel it's important for people to know how a recent stay went from 6/12/26 - 6/15/26. Our stay at this place was a total disappointment. First I booked on Priceline which was easy, however our room looked nothing like what we had booked. Our room was super outdated, the walls had spill drips everywhere, mold in the shower area on the walls. Stains on the black carpet. The room of which I thought I booked was updated nice wood floors, nice updated bathroom, not what we walked into. My husband and I were waking up with new bug bites every morning but we were thinking it was chigger bites because we were outside a lot. After research it looked like they could have been bed bug bites but we couldn't find any. We were so confused. So we had our bedding changed just in case on 6/14/26. Which we asked for our room to be cleaned that day and it wasn't, when we got back at 3:30pm, I had to call down and try to get my room cleaned. Anyways, the morning of, the 15th, we got up and we found a bug on the bed and we used google lens and ChatGPT of both which said it was a bed bug. I then looked up a bunch of pictures of bed bugs and sure enough, that's what it was. My husband called down to the front desk right away and the lady came upstairs, saw it for herself, grabbed the bug after taking a picture and threw it away. She said it was disgusting and apologized and said someone would call me as we were getting ready to head out and nobody from management or owner was going to be in until 10:30 or later. A manger called me at 12pm and said all they could do was refund the early check in fee of $35 and that they checked the room there was nothing there and the picture that was taken was blurry so they couldn't tell exactly what it was. My husband has over 40 bed bug bites on him, I have a handful and thankfully my baby was sleeping in a bassinet set up and hoping she doesn't get any on the way home. They made it seem like we bottled one up and put it there on purpose over the phone. This isn't just a small inconvenience this is itchiness and pain for 1-3 weeks and we have to figure out how to clean EVERYTHING and not drag them into my house and all they did was refund us an early check in fee!?! The lady I talked to said they were going to call back and I never received a call. I waited exactly a whole week later and called back asking for a GM or owner as they promised one would call me back. The owner was there and said there are no bugs, they take it seriously and can assure me someone did call me even though I have no voicemail or missed call from them. As I was explaining things and making it known I was unhappy, I was being talked over and it was end of there day and instead of looking into some kind of compensation or solution now, they are dragging it out another day and are suppose to call me back. They did call me back and again they don't have bugs it could have gotten there many ways and not doing anything other than the early check in fee and corporate said they can't do anything either. Unacceptable and do not stay here. Spend your money else where on a place that is clean, doesn't false advertise and somewhere that will take care of you if something were to happen. read more

Pet friendly room was clean. Beds (2 Qn) were comfortable each with 4 pillows. Shower pressure was awesome. Temperature was very hot to our liking. Room has a microwave and mini frig. Breakfast was hot 6am-9am. Food set-up was functional and in a modern style as is the small lobby. Staff was very nice. Easy in/out. Rooms aren't modern. Outdated furniture and yellow textured walls. Flooring was new and clean. Plenty of lamps for good lighting. Stay was quiet and in a safe area with plenty of restaurant options. Movie theatre is a 1/4 of a mile away also. No complaints. Would just suggest changing bedskirt, curtain and wall colors. read more

I stayed in this hotel last week (5/16/25). Once I got home I was charged $250 because of smoking in the room. I do not smoke. I certainly did not smoke in the room. When I asked the manager I was told that they had photos, video and three people who would all say that I had smoked in the room, that the room smelled of smoke and that the curtain had a burn in it. None of this is true. They would not refund the charge. I am hoping that my experience is an outlier and that the hotel does not run this as a scam on unsuspecting visitors. I was happy to stay in Comfort Inn & suites, but this has definitely soured me on the chain. read more

From the road don't look like much but close to the interstate, 10-15 miles from hiking trail's Cumberland park! Good food close by wonderful breakfast and great employees. I would definitely advise you to bring your own pillows the only bad thing I have to say about the stay. read more

I mistakenly booked a smoking room. When I arrived and asked to change, I was given a first floor room but had to pay an extra $15 "convenience fee." The room was dirty, and neither the bathroom sink nor the shower drain worked. There is no elevator in this hotel, so anyone with disabilities or bad knees should be aware that you'll have no choice but to pay extra for a first floor room. I called to complain. The manager said the extra $15 fee was not a convenience fee, it was an "upgrade fee" because the first floor rooms have all been "upgraded." She mentioned that there are new lamp shades. Maybe with the extra $15 they're charging everyone on the first floor, they could hire a plumber to fix the drains. read more

Bugs! The room looked clean however the bathroom smelled of smoke terribly. When we woke up in the morning there was what looked like a bed bug crawling around in our kids sheets. My husband talked to the front desk and another customer was saying their bathroom smelled of smoke as well and when my husband shower he the big he had in a plastic cup she said that the manager would call us when she got in for the day (not getting my hopes up on that). read more

Checked in at around 11pm on a Friday night by reservation. The front desk clerk was who turned out to be the proprietor was very polite and helpful. Lobby area is very clean and freshly painted. Our first impression of the room actually came from the outside. This is a remodeled hotel and the owner spared no details in doing so. The front windows have all been replaced with double pane windows and new doors. The beds are noticeably premium and comfortable as well as clean. Furniture is modern and stylish complimenting the wall colors and other decorations that included an actual table lamp with A/C outlets installed. That carpet was clean and didn't show any excessive wear. The microwave and larger compact fridge were a pleasant surprise to the room. The flatscreen television wasn't huge but still served the purpose of entertaining my kids with a clear picture and sound. The bathroom and vanity area were modern and clean with included premium toiletries that included two kinds of round soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and even mouthwash.....classy!!!! The only issue we found is that the carpet around the bathroom door and adjacent wall is damp but didn't smell. This could be from a leak somewhere and we will bring it to the proprietor's attention but don't believe it should degrade from the hotel review integrity. In summary we highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling through Corbin and want to see what a hotel looks like when the owner cares a lot about your comfort. Bravo!! read more

I do wonder if my room is different from some of the others. Based on the reviews it doesn't seem to compare. The room is not updated. They have red velvet chairs, pop corn ceilings and poorly repaired damaged walls. Nom of that is the reason I gave them a 2 *. There is mold on the walls in with the shower. The bed sheet had stains. The sheet was also torn. The comforter hAd multiple holes in it. The vending machine on the second floor didn't work. The room was 80 degrees and took a couple houris to cool off once the ac was turned on. Also the tv sits on the dresser which is significantly lower than the bed. For me the final thing was house keeping knocking on our door to wake us up before nine am. We put the do not disturb thing in the door. Hoping to be able to sleep in on our last day of our trip. Check out is not until 11am. Yet they still knocked hard before 9. I have trouble sleeping and once I'm awaken I am awake. I was disappointed by this. In reflection of price the hotel is slightly lower than surrounding hotels. We had a room with a king bed. I compared after to other hotels and it was maybe a $30 difference. With exception of the above mentioned the room was sleep and well kept. Breakfast is also included in our stay however we didn't get up in time to try it. read more

After stopping for something to eat and seeing some sights, we found the look of the motel atop the hill compelling and inviting so she stopped to check availability. While hubs did that, I checked reviews on Yelp. They had just what we wanted and we checked in. The room was surprising in spite of reviews. I don't think I have ever stayed in a "motel". When I was meeting my daughter in this small town, she arrived at the hotel about 20 minutes before me. She dialed me and advised me this was a motel. Ugh! Well, what a nice surprise this was. It was super clean. We stayed in room 120. From my observations NOT all of the rooms have been renovated. Our room had been renovated with a modern theme. Here are the highlights: Clean carpet (although I would never walk barefooted on motel carpet.) Heating/air was fierce Alarm clock that allowed me to plug in my iPhone Great lighting with wall switches. Internet connection Pet friendly Shower deets: clean, great water pressure. Shower curtain was hung with a curved shower rod so the curtain didn't touch me as I was showering. Shower curtain appeared brand new. It was an off color white so I could see it was clean! . Water drained very well, I wasn't standing in my own bath water They had toiletries in the room. If they didn't have the toiletries you needed, just them. They will get you whatever they can. Hot breakfast included eggs, bagels , oatmeal, sausage , waffles, sausage, coffee juice, hot chocolate....... Enjoy your stay!!! read more

The hotel staff was so sweet. We drove from Florida through the night and got in earlier then check-in time which was 4. I called the hotel expecting them to say no or charge us for early check-in and we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk was super sweet and very friendly. The room had a bit of a musky odor that's why it was 4 stars. The room was clean possibly needed a deeper clean but the beds were super comfy. The water pressure was amazing. Definitely will be staying here again. We loved that this is so close to I-75 and right down the highway from University of the Cumberlands. Love that we were able to see two great sites and still manage to get the same town feel. P.s. Bubby's buffet is great and within walking distance. read more

Came to stay, booked the night before online (yes, my mistake) was told that we could stay the actual night we wanted for a much lower price, that price was literally TEN dollars less. No towels by the pool, a deflated float nearby. Don't be deceived by the photos online, basic basic hotel. Almost feels more like a motel. I will not book with a best western again. Clean rooms with lots of space. The bathrooms look newly renovated. Hot breakfast with biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs and other continental stuff. A little pricey compared to the other hotels I have just stayed in with equal amenities, but a nice stay none the less. Rooms are nice and the the parking lot and outside was clean for the most part. Think they could have cleaned to spots on the wall outside the room where a previous guest put their cigarettes out and maybe swept up the cigarette butts in the parking lot that would have made it really nice outside. We arrived early and was allowed to check in early. Room was newly remodeled and clean. Beautiful wood tile floor, happy to see NO carpet. Shower is so powerful and instant hot water we really had to turn it down and have shower head face wall when first turning on. Felt so nice and relaxing. Beds are tall and comfortable with not over stuffed pillows. Room had plenty of mirrors and good lighting. Also didn't need to search for outlets, located on lamps base. Mini fridge was just right. My only complaint was breakfast. We were told , " we have everything , full breakfast ". Not!! Typical continental full of starch breakfast. Sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits n gravey, runny oatmeal, 3 cereals waffles and bananas or apple with the typical toast and juices. Blah!!! For how beautiful the room was and how upgraded the breakfast room was I am disappointed in lack of choices. But if that's the only complaint I have then oh well! Not exactly a dump, but poor quality and over priced. We won't stop here again. The bed had seen better days. It creaked when you moved and felt like it held too many 300 pounders. Almost everything was cheap, from the bar soap to the coffee. I have had good success with Best Westerns and this was way below par. Our room had a strong smell of cigarettes. Some of the rooms are smoking rooms, and I suspect that when they ran out, they allowed smokers to stay in a nonsmoking room. I have stayed in worse rooms and been satisfied when the price reflected the quality, this room was way over priced for what we read more
