Check in was easy; there is parking on the side and back of the building. The rooms are spacious. There are ice machines available on the floors. Breakfast is complimentary with choices of making your own waffle, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, port sausage, juice, and more. Coffee and tea is available 24 hours a day and when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, there was fresh popped popcorn in the lobby. The breakfast was not to my liking but it's a great option to save money and with the various items available, you can find something you like. I had the waffle, scrambled eggs and pork sausage and the eggs tasted like powdered eggs which they likely were and I don't eat a lot of pork but prefer pork bacon versus pork sausage. The taste of bacon is better for me. I had a room on the second floor, room 204 to be exact. TIP: Avoid this room if you want to open the shades and see outside. This room looks directly at the front entrance overhang so you get to see the roof of the entrance and a little of the driveway. Just terrible. 1000% worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. I got a day off from work so I hoped id be able to sleep in, welp I thought wrong. They're doing construction at the hotel and i was woken up at 530 AM by a hotel worker walking into the room and telling me that we were supposed to be moved the night before. (What if i were naked and getting dressed?) So after moving rooms and trying to go back to bed i get woken up by an air chisel 2 rooms over constantly going off and am told at the front desk that they cant switch me to another room. I wish I could post a video so you could hear this mess. Oh and the super loud fire alarm went off for 5 mins straight at like 630am read more

Stayed here two nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. They are pet friendly (for a fee). Room was big enough for us and our dog. Bed and pillows were comfortable. A/C worked fine. Water pressure in shower was fine. Fitness center only had one treadmill, one stationary bike, a medicine ball and some dumbbell weights. The water cooler ran out of water, I informed the front desk and the next day it was still empty. They have an indoor pool and an outdoor sitting area with a fire pit. Free breakfast from 6:00am to 10:00am. Standard Hampton fare, but I really dug the biscuits and gravy I had on Sunday morning. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again if in the area. read more

As a Hilton Diamond member, I stay in a lot of these. The positives: 1) the Digital Key here is the smoothest experience that I've ever had at a Hilton property, even the back outside entrance one! 2) the elevator was quick, Hamptons are notorious for the slowest elevators created. 3) Sunday's continental breakfast options and condiments were by far the largest variety. I don't judge a hotel by their complimentary spreads but for what it is, it was impressive. 4) right off the northeast extension and close to Penns Peak, which is a great live music venue. That's all i can say was good about this experience. The parking lot is challenging to turn into from a busy road, it's also very small. They were having work done on the exterior, with that equipment taking up a lot of space in the small lot. Now, they did mention the daytime exterior work before I booked, ok..... this is an overnight quick Saturday trip ..... so it shouldn't be a big deal, right?! Wrong! Extremely Loud work directly outside of the room that was an available "upgrade" accompanied by concert level music still going in the dark at 7pm despite being told an hour earlier that they were wrapping it up for the day. We left at 7pm so who knows how long they continued... the dog down the hall barked the entire time. It started all over again Sunday morning about 9am. Worse, I've never stayed in a hotel that did not have network channels available, by network I'm talking CBS....I just wanted to catch some college football before the concert we were in town for. 1st world problems, i know... Rooms are dated, mattress as dated. Bathroom clean enough. The exterior work issue is temporary and management should know better than to book the rooms directly affected, much less call them "upgrades" but the rest of the downsides will cause me to pause before staying here again. read more

I had the worst experience here. Didn't even make it to the hotel because or room was cancelled with no reasoning. I speaker to Anthony on the phone who was INSANELY rude and his manager was even worse. Tried to explain to her the problem and she hung up on us and pulled our reservation entirely because we were 'being rude.' Not sure about you but I wouldn't be happy if my reservation got cancelled 5 hours away from home leaving us homeless with no reasoning. Anthony and his general manager both should be fired. I recently stayed here on points and had a fabulous experience. I was in town for a race and picked this hotel mostly for distance from the start. Honestly, my expectations were just a comfortable bed. Just off the highway, the hotel was easy to spot. Parking was plentiful. Check-in was smooth and took no more than five minutes. I appreciate how the staff took the time to explain the breakfast process (modified for COVID). The entire hotel appeared very clean. They had individually wrapped cups for the lobby coffee bar (included with stay) and even wrapped the apples in the lounge. Heading to our room, we saw the "seal" to ensure it had been cleaned and was ready for our stay. Inside, the effort the staff took to make sure the hotel room was spotless was evident. Breakfast was really more than I though on the positive front. You just need check what you want from a list and they trayed it up for you. Free with stay, it was handy to have both a few things to eat before the race as well as a small snacks for when I got back. Check-out was just as smooth with a fish bowl of disinfectant left for your key cards as you walked out. read more

Very clean! It's the management and staff that made this hotel exceptional - we were welcomed and treated as valued guests from the moment we arrived. Nice, comfortable rooms, good size bathrooms, and I found the beds comfortable. Everything was in good working order. If there's a problem, the hotel makes it right immediately. Stayed here for 2 nights and would highly recommend. Highlights: they still serve hot breakfast, the pool/hot tub and fitness center are open, room had a microwave and fridge and room had lots of outlets. No housekeeping but you can get towels, refills etc at the front desk. Check in and out can be done through the app so technically you never need to stop by the front desk unless you need something. Cleanliness: room was clean, they give some wipes for you in the room. Hand sanitizer stations are by the elevators. Pool/hot tub area was clean when we went with plenty of towels stocked. Breakfast: you fill out a form and circle what you want and give to the breakfast lady. Then she gives you everything on a tray and you can either eat at the dining area or bring back 5o your room. Stayed at a different Hampton Inn and they only had grab n go breakfast which was yogurt and cereal so having a hot breakfast was nice. read more

On our trip to Jim Thorpe, we stayed at the Country Inns and Suites at Lehighton. This hotel is an easy 6 mile drive to Jim Thorpe and right off the PA turnpike. The hotel is very nice, very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Free breakfast which was pretty decent. There were fresh chocolate chip cookies out throughout the day. We needed to cut our stay short and were not charged for the last night there. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Staff and guests did not wear masks. There was no signage indicating this was a Hilton rule or even an indication that this was CDC guidance. Social distancing was not present. The breakfast self-serve was crowded with unmasked individuals as was the lounge area. The staff were friendly. The room was fine - albeit the bed a bit uncomfortable and creaky (probably just old). The breakfast choices were good. There should be a way to easily dispose of trash and get replacement trash bags given that rooms are not serviced daily anymore. read more

This Hilton hotel is located in an area which is more run down, but don't let that stop you! The hotel is very very well kept, clean, lively, and comfortable. The king size suite is immaculate, clean and cozy. Very nice stay. The Hotel is very clean. The rooms are very clean. The General Manager of the hotel really goes above to make it a very nice and friendly stay. You are greeted by little notes all around the room from her which creates a warm and personal stay even though it's a big hotel brand. Little amenities and touches make a big difference to set it aside from just staying any other place. It was really appreciated. Also they serve a breakfast in the morning, included with your stay. Very well kept, also nice little touches that make it just a little more special then throwing together a breakfast. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. When I checked in the lady at the desk was so sweet. I had accidentally left some belongings in the room when I checked out. They made sure to find them, put them aside, and send them back to me. As I walked in to the hotel I thought to myself that the service was going to suck. But the front desk personnel was very helpful, other then the remodeling that was happening it was a wonderful stay . So as we walked to our room. It was very clean and the view was okay as you see the mountain top. The pool and jacuzzi was fine, even if I did not get a chance to enjoy it, because of the floor remodeling they were doing, but there staff keeps the room clean and there morning buffet was good, only problem they had one person working the kitchen and we had to wait to get our meal. The Hampton Inn was my home base the night before my wedding which was about a 20 minute drive in the next town over. We had worked with the hotel since last spring in securing a block of rooms for some of our guests and the General Manager, Lori, was amazing. Super responsive to all of our e-mails and communications. As I mentioned, I stayed at the hotel for a night and I have to say, I travel every so often for work and leisure and this was hands-down, the best hotel stay I have ever had. Pulled up to the lobby, was checked in faster than ever and in my room in about 10 minutes. Room was immaculate. Spacious and cozy. Hot breakfast included in your stay: absolutely delicious! When I brought our welcome bags for our wedding (I brought them a day late lol), the staff was super accommodating and ensured all of our guests staying there got theirs. Could not have asked for better treatment here. Need to find an excuse to come back out that way to stay here; that is how good it was. read more

We stayed here while skiing at Blue Mountain. We had a king size bed room with a pull out couch. The room was enormous (Room 115). We put a cot in there as well and still had plenty of space. The staff was extremely nice and even the maintenance / cleaning man was awesome. It rained on Sunday so the kids were camped at the pool which was very well done. Breakfast with 2 waffle makers was great. I would highly recommend this place. Spring for the upgraded internet in case of a rainy ski day. Great stay. read more

I honestly could not give a better review to this hotel. The staff & operations are excellent. Upon checking in, I realized I accidentally cancelled my second reservation with them & kept my reservation with another hotel down the road. The GM Lori called the other hotel down the road and canceled with them on my behalf & luckily the Hampton had another room for me. Crisis averted with a simple phone call. We were all staying due to a death in the family & the hospitality was phenomenal. Definitely above what you would get at another hotel. The rooms were impeccably clean & there were no issues with any of the bathroom fixtures. Typical bathroom amenities and plenty of them. Lobby coffee was hot, snacks provided either for sale or complimentary cookies & popcorn. The most wonderful personal touch was the sympathy card the staff left for many of our family members. The area the hotel is located is very "small town America" and the GM's children actually knew our family member that passed. Each of the staff signed the card. What a lovely gesture. read more

This hotel really impressed myself and my family! When you walk in, you can help yourself to fruit-infused water or a cup of coffee. The hotel, itself, is small but we didn't feel like it was overcrowded. The room was nice and clean, and our favorite part was that we could take a dip in the pool or jacuzzi with the kids. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and had enough selection to please everyone. My only complaint was about one of the staff members that was in charge of breakfast, the first morning we had breakfast. She was an older lady, and she had a snarky remark for everything. She would condescendingly speak to the customers, and I felt very uncomfortable with her staring at me as I browsed the selections. I politely smiled, and she asked if I needed something. I said I was thinking about making a waffle but was reading the directions on how to work the waffle maker. She snarkily replied "Well, it's not hard," rolled her eyes and went in the back room. It was totally unnecessary, but I observed her rudely spitting comments out at all the guests so I understood it to be her problem. Ok, I am a big fan of Hampton Inn for the decent priced hotels and am a fan of the Hilton chain itself. If I find myself staying in an area I am unfamiliar with, I always look for the Hampton Inn. 1. They have nice rooms. 2. They have a pretty great breakfast. Hubs and I were in Lehighton, PA recently visiting family, and of course, there are not many options for hotels, so we thought the Hampton Inn was a great choice. I can't complain about the rooms, they were great. The hotel itself was clean, and staff were pretty friendly (not overly helpful, but friendly). The breakfast was amazing! Honestly, it was our favorite part about the hotel... well, that and the fact that it was right beside Trainer's, a divey bar sort of place that we loved. My beef, is the fact that kids run up and down the halls of this place, as if they run the show. Where in the hell are the parents? It was seriously, as if, kids took over, and were playing on the elevators, running up and down the hallways, playing with the vending machines, etc. What a freaking nightmare!!! We called several times in the middle of the night complaining about it, and nothing was done. The next morning, when we got the obligatory, "how was your stay?", I told her it was awful since we didn't get a wink of sleep and that nothing was done with the army of kids running the hotel. What did she say?? Nothing. Crickets. Maybe the kids have her hostage. Nevertheless, next time we are in Lehighton, we will be staying at the Country Inn & Suites. read more

We stay at Hampton Inns often because they're easy for families. This hotel was great - the staff was friendly and helpful with directions and local events (we came to the Jim Thorpe area for the weekend). The indoor pool was really clean and not over chlorinated. Breakfast in the morning is standard continental fare with some warm dishes such as eggs and waffles. Again, very convenient with little kids. We requested adjoining rooms upon making the reservation (which we did over the phone just to ensure they'd be available) and this worked out perfectly. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy. Will definitely return if we come back to Jim Thorpe. read more

My wife and stayed here for 2 nights in August 2021. It's a nice hotel and the pool and hot tub are especially nice, well cared-for by an employee. Our room was good and very well equipped with coffee, microwave, fridge. We had an issue with noise. On the first night from 6 to 11pm, a truck sat nearby, idling with motor running, and the noise bothered us. We complained to the front desk. Sometime later before midnight, the noise stopped. The truck did not return the second night, so we were happy. Not sure if the complaint helped or not. The next day I realized the truck was probably on the adjacent property, but less than 100 ft. from the hotel. The adjacent property looks like a vacant lot, with a junk yard in the rear. I mention this to caution you that truck noise may happen on one side of the hotel (west side toward Lehighton). It's unfortunate that a nice hotel is next to such a bad-looking property. read more

I was so impressed here with the customer service, the location, and the staff. Kathy was one of the kindest people. She was so genuine and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious. It was actually real breakfast, with an array of everything: cereals, scones, toast, bagels, muffins, other staple breakfast pastries, eggs, a waffle station and a daily change up of a breakfast specialty item. One day it was biscuits and gravy, the next is was smoked sausage. And all your juices, coffees, teas, hot coco's and coffees you need. Another great thing was that you can always grab coffee, tea or hot coco in the lobby. If I had to visit Jim Thorpe or Lehighton again, I would absolutely stay at this Hampton Inn! read more

I was a recent guest at this Hampton Inn back in May. I was in PA for a family wedding, and after the reception we all went back to the hotel and went to the Bar directly across the parking lot for an "After Party". Having worked in a hotel for years during college, I knew what to look for. I was extremely impressed with the staff, they were very nice and helpful. They even stored a few bags for us. The breakfast was awesome. Perhaps it was the fact that we were drinking until 2 AM which made the food taste better, but I don't think so. It was awesome! The rooms were very clean. I did all the standard bed bug test and the room passed with flying colors! I'm not sure that I'll ever have a need to return to that Hampton Inn, but I would feel confident having others stay there if needed!
