The staff were all amazing. Always doing things to maintain the facility, being welcoming, and responding to us. The coffees always hit and fresh. The room and hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The pool could use some sprucing it up. However, having said that, it was welcoming to many guests and well utilized. Nice workout room and seating areas. Parking could be an issue at times. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and if our travels bring us to Olathe again, we would stay here. read more

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last 3yrs and it's always under construction (the front or the lobby). This causes issues with parking spots, navigating checking in, etc. For paying close to $200 ($185 my last trip) it's just no longer worth it. read more

My hubby and I stayed for 4 days. We had a king size bed. The room was spotless. The bed was comfy and even the pillows were great. Breakfast was super, from eggs to cereal, oatmeal, bagels, cereals. There was a fitness room which my hubby used and said was great. There was a fridge, microwave and a coffee pot In the room. The Kansas City joe bbq store and restaurant are across the street, plus numerous restUranus, gas stations and movie theater. We had ice cream everyday at Sylas and Maddy Ice cream shop. Another Hilton property in strong need of an upgrade. With the Hilton Garden Inn across the street and Embassy Suites across town, the only reason they hang onto this place is the location and price. You can really tell they put no effort into this location. The rooms are OK, but not great. I had 2 conditioners but no shampoo. What does that tell you? They do give the travel size shaving cream when you ask for it and not those crappy packets of lanolin. The fitness center has two treadmills. One looked like someone had messed with the incline until it broke. It remained inoperable for 2 days until I reset the machine. The lack of clean towels indicates no one attends the fitness center. Breakfast is the standard Hampton breakfast of scrambled eggs, paper thin bacon, cereals, baked goods, yogurt and fruit. read more

Is this the greatest Hampton Inn I've ever stayed in? No, but it also is not that bad of a hotel either. Hampton's are rather standard and thus, this one is too. I ranked it a bit lower because it's an older, remodeled hotel. You can hear the people above you but otherwise, it wasn't too bad. I am easy to please when it comes to Hamptons, as they always seem to consistently provide comfortable, clean and solid lodging. This particular Hampton is smack dab near TONS of great services - shopping, restaurants, services and an awesome AMC movie theater. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating, the room clean and comfortable. I loved that the breakfast area was completely separate from the lobby. They also had the coffee bar right by the front desk area, in addition to one in the breakfast room. (nothing better than their Robust in the AM) A FANTASTIC Barbeque place is less than a mile from here - Joe's Kansas City bar-b-que, a MUST try. I will stay here again if I am in the area. read more

Beware if you leave an item in your room after you leave! I left my earbuds in my room, knew the EXACT SPOT they were in I kid you not. I called them, and all of a sudden they can't find them and this was before the room was checked into another customer! The room service ladies are a bunch of THIEVES. The front counter person blatantly lied to my face and told me that "oh my ladies don't do that". Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me to be completely honest. If nobody told anybody that they stole than nobody would know. In conclusion, the Hampton ladies are a bunch of thieves and you should not give money to this establishment! read more

Pretty much what you would expect from the typical Hampton Inn. But be aware that they don't serve breakfast until 7am on weekends, and they don't have early morning coffee in the lobby. So if you are travelling and want to get on the road early, you're on your own. And they are expensive. read more

What I like about Hampton Inns is that they are pretty consistent with their brand. This is a good quality hotel. Free hot breakfast with a big selection and large eating area and free wi-fi. They also have a pool and a fitness center. The rooms are clean and cozy. Our room had a microwave and fridge which is nice for left overs and to keep your water cool. The staff is friendly, but often there is only one staff member around and if they are busy then you're stuck waiting for help until they are done. This can be awhile on a busy weekend. The location is nice because it's near McDonalds, a gas station, several restaurants and a movie theater. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay again. read more

I read reviews before booking this hotel and it seemed pretty good so I booked. We typically have good experiences with Hampton Inn but this one wasn't so good. First, the room was VERY DIRTY. The white bed comforters had brown and yellow stains on both of them. There were partially-eaten reece's candies in the top drawer of the nightstand. The attendant at the front desk both when checking in and checking out was extremely rude and I don't think either one of them looked me in the eye once. I couldn't crack a smile out of either of them. One reason I chose this hotel was because it had breakfast. The breakfast I had there on a Saturday morning was terrible. The biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were atleast a day old, hard as rock, and cold. Their waffle dough was out by 9:00 AM and there was really nothing else besides old bagels and yogurt. I'm usually not super picky about breakfast but this was horrible! We stayed at another Hampton Inn in KC at the legends mall and their breakfast was amazing so I was hoping for something similar. The only pro to this hotel is the location. There are plenty of fast food and dining restaurants and shopping very close to the hotel. Also it is located right off of I-35. There were other hotels in that same area that I wish I would have stayed at. We will never stay at this hotel again. read more

Understanding that things have changed...... checked in at 6:30 pm. Waited and called on the phone forever for someone to come and give us our key. Tons of people - other than staff, few mask-wearers. Noisy noisy room. We could hear every word of conversation in the next room. Almost every sentence from one of the adults contained multiple "f" words and other profanities. Funny smells as well. And why are they so stingy with towels? Is this also pandemic related? A bath towel each! A hand towel to share. A couple wash cloths. Room was clean and sealed. Hamptons have always been our go-to on road trips and for family events. Those new BestWestern Plus properties look really nice, and they are going up all over. Try harder, Hampton! read more

Good motel near restaurants, shopping, movie theatre, and close to I-35. This Hampton Inn was very pleasant to stay in, it was clean, and very comfortable. They have an indoor pool, business center, free Wi-fi, free parking, and a modern feel. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable and fresh. I know they offer a breakfast but we didn't partake. Also, they offer Hilton Honors members special perks like special parking and snacks when you check-in. You have to be gold or diamond level though. Bottom line is that I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again because of its location and the quality of our stay. read more

Not a bad place to stay if you're in the Olathe, KS area. Like other Hampton Inn locations, this one has rooms that are clean and well appointed with a flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave oven. The bed was also comfortable and seemed to have freshly laundered bedding. There's a lot within walking distance of this Hampton Inn in terms of dining and entertainment as well. On the downside, a lot of noise made it through the tissue paper construction. read more

I was not staying at this property but using their meeting facilities. The room was very room and the temperature was easy to control. The room included some simple catering services (coffee, water and sodas). The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. A great location with lots of variety for food in the area. I made a reservation at this hotel because we were traveling to Winfield Ks for my Aunts funeral. We felt we could continue driving and make it to Winfield. I called to cancel @ 2:30pm and was told no cancellation, if we cancelled we would be charged the full price. I explained we were traveling because of a funeral - no sympathy. I thought if we asked in person perhaps that would make a difference. Got to the hotel asked the receptionist- Robin- again to cancel without penalty. Answer - no- no sympathy no I'm sorry for your loss - nothing. But - no.Customer service makes or breaks - will never stay here again. Staff is heartless. And I am a Hilton honors member!! read more

When checking out a day early they said NO AND CHARGED US FOR A NIGHT WHEN THEY KNEW THE ROOM WAS EMPTY. We had tried to change the reservation one day after it was made but they said no then too. The staff are very nice at this location and the rooms are standard Hampton rooms with a separate couch and desk which I always appreciate. My room was clean and comfortable. I greatly appreciated the heat lamp in the bathroom, too. I don't recall seeing this at other Hampton Inns, but the pillows here are about 3/4 of the width of a typical pillow that you would have at home which makes them quite small. While this isn't necessarily a huge issue, it would be nice if they were standard size. read more

Effective for my business trip. Very clean hotel, good location in terms of restaurants. I-35 into the city is easy to access. Fun shopping the local bass pro shops. Rooms are comfortable and up to date. Love the free weights inthegym. If I were to complain it would be about exterior noises for the most part. I would request a room facing away from the gas station next door. Lots of noise comes from that area. Thin walls and floors add to the noise. read more

We were placed at the Hampton Inn in Olathe for a soccer tournament last weekend. Our team had a terrible experience at this hotel. The tournament placed us there so I assume the hotel had some forewarning, but it was as if the hotel was not expecting kids to be among the guests. The management harassed us about our kids making noise from the moment we entered the facility and for the entire time of our stay. On several occasions, kids were asleep in the rooms or sitting on the floor playing when the complaints were lodged. They called us at 10p on Sat night and threatened to kick one family out of their room "in 5min" if the room was not "brought under control," bringing the mother who received the call to tears. The boys were ASLEEP in that room at the time. Our boys were not running through the halls or jumping around or yelling. They did travel in groups and may have walked a little too heavy at times, but they were in no way disrespectful of others. We were placed on the second floor with other teams that made some noise above us - noisy, but not complaint worthy. There happened to be some much older people staying below us on the first floor, which didn't help matters. The walls and floors were so thin that sounds reverberated dramatically. Every step that my 45lb, five year old took on the 2nd floor shook the whole place unless he tip-toed. To my knowledge, Management did not offer to move these people to another part of the hotel or an upper floor. This was solely our problem to solve. We tried to make it clear that the kids WERE actually being quiet and respectful, and their only response to us was that it wasn't good enough. The people below us were the squeakiest wheel, and our noise level had to meet THEIR satisfaction, no matter how impossible it was to meet. Consequently, our boys spent their first out of town soccer tournament being reprimanded for walking too loudly at by their parents and by hospital staff. Parents were shushing every sound as if we were hiding for our lives in a horror movie. Once it became clear that nothing short of leaving could meet Hampton's expectations, we were forced into an overly-stressed and adversarial role - ruining the experience for us and our children. Frankly, Hampton's management could have and should have done more than blame our kids and threaten our families. With floors and walls so cheap that even the tiniest footsteps will warrant threats of expulsion, perhaps this Hampton Inn is not the best place to send families/teams for these kinds of events. I can say for certain that the families from our team will no longer stay at Hampton Inns. It is likely that our team's organization will draw the same conclusion. I recommend that you do the same. read more

The hotel was dirty and outdated. It looked like the last time it was updated was in the late 70's. The pillows were very uncomfortable and the sheets couldn't even stay on the mattress that had way to many springs. The room had a limited number of outlets. The only chair was ripped clearly on the bottom. read more

As a frequent business and leisure traveler I am a very loyal Hilton/Hampton fan. This property did not disappoint. I had to use the Hilton Honors WiFi for a business reason as I visited my son during his internship in Lenexa. The front desk was extremely professional and accommodating. The bathroom was immaculate. The lobby was clean, fresh and updated and the seating was comfortable. The network unfortunately did go down during my call but that was not the fault of the property. Hilton/Hampton always better than Starbucks, IMHO. read more
