Hotel was very clean, but we didn't like the barn door for the bathroom. Breakfast was good and nice that is available to 10am. Front desk guy, Matt, was fun to talk to too!

Tub is old, worn out and paint is chipping off!

This place is a joke! Do not, DO NOT STAY HERE! it's below Motel 6 level. Look at the pictures. Bathroom door doesn't lock, also doesn't close. The curtains also do not close, there's a street light outside the window so you can pretty much read a book at night. Bath tub is old, looks either dirty or worn and there's paint chipping off!

Needed a room to attend OSU graduation in Stillwater, but of course all the Stillwater hotels sell out almost a year in advance. I think this hotel in Sand Springs was a great option. The room rate was only $89 and it's an easy 60 minute drive straight down the turnpike to Stillwater. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The wifi was good, and it had a good sized refrigerator and small microwave right in the room. Only downside of the room was the toilet - to get it to flush completely you had to hold the handle down for about 5 seconds. Otherwise the shower was always hot and good pressure. Beds were comfortable and even though we had a room near the exit it was not too noisy at night. Check in and check out both fast and easy. EVERY night the staff had fresh cookies and coffee out. Our maid service was excellent. I left her a tip on the bed the first night and it was there when I returned with a note saying thank you but just checking to make sure I had not left money behind. So impressed I gave her a bigger tip the next day. Rare to see such care to be honest. Breakfast was on time every morning. The hot portion was not that great (rubber eggs) but there was always hot oatmeal and great fresh fruit along with wide choice of cereals and pastries. Not much in this area for eating options, but a 10 minute drive east on the highway and you can be in the Brady district of downtown Tulsa where the options are plentiful. Overall highly recommend this place. Service won me over.

The room service knocked on our door and just barged in. Besides that experience it was fine.

This one, though, missed the mark in a few spots. But first, the good... I'll start with the front desk staff, who were always friendly and greeted me upon each arrival and departure. They even mailed some postcards for me, which was really nice. The hotel is also really conveniently located. It was a short drive to almost everywhere I needed to be. In fact, if the weather hadn't been so chilly I could even have easily walked to most downtown places I visited. Now for the "meh"... My room, located on the 7th floor, had a lovely view. Other than that, it was run down and could have used a refresh. Also, housekeeping never showed up after my first night, even though I was gone most of the day. Not really sure what happened there. They did clean it the next day, though. But back to my room: from a lampshade that looked like it had been sat on to strange brown stains on the wall that had me thinking a lot about those true crime podcasts I used to listen to, not to mention the exposed wires in the wall thermostat, it gave 1-star dive hotel in many ways. The walls were pretty thin, too, and I could smell/hear the folks in the room next to me. Luckily, they put away the joints and the music pretty early in the evening, but it still detracted from the overall experience. Parking was also really weird here. The desk clerk had advised I park at the garage next store, which I did on the first night. Folks, this place was CREEPY with a capital CREEP. I especially advise against parking there if you're a solo female. And while my car was ultimately fine, navigating the enclosed stairwell and abandoned office building lobby with no visible exits just to get out of the place was not my vibe. After night one, I just used the outdoor lot next to the hotel. It was only slightly safer feeling, as it was occupied by some semi-shady characters, but at least there were various options to exit without feeling like I was trapped in an amusement park funhouse. On my last trip to Tulsa, I stayed at the nearby Tulsa Club hotel (also a Hilton property), and if/when I return I'll choose that spot again rather than the Hampton.

All you could want and more.. except a more comfortable bed. To be clear, I rarely find a hotel bed comfortable, I am always some level of sore the next day after a bad night's sleep, but unfortunately this is night 5 on this road trip, and the 5th hotel bed I've slept in and it is by far the worst for me. If you prefer a medium or softer bed you may be disappointed. If that isn't what you prefer then you'll love your stay here!

If you already have a room key, you can just swipe that to get the barricade to lift. I pressed the call button and the receptionist answered quickly and lifted the barricade so I could get in. Going through the sliding glass doors into the first floor lobby area there is a second set of sliding glass doors that requires the room key or you must push the call button. The receptionist again opened up the doors for me immediately. From there, you will go to the second floor, where the receptionist desk is to check in. Hotel staff is very friendly and offer recommendations if you ask. Complementary breakfast available. Eggs, sausage and/or bacon, waffles, English muffins, scones etc. My room was clean, had body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. My room did not get completely dark, because my room backed up to the parking lot and restaurants behind the hotel, where there were some light poles. Though the curtains are blackout, the light still seeped in from the top of the curtains. I was still able to get sleep. I just would have preferred a darker room. My stay included Friday, the first Friday of the month is the art walk. There was some loud music playing, but it was not too bad and they did not go past 10 PM. Hotel is very convenient to restaurants, BOK, museums, etc. because the hotel is in Downtown, you can expect to see a few homeless people wandering around. You may get asked for money if you were out walking about. I was asked twice as I walked across the street to Sisserou's. During my stay, I also noticed the same homeless person hanging around in the garage. My stay was good. I would recommend the hotel.

One other note, the Mayo has an extensive history & a number of Movies/TV shows were filmed inside including Sylvester Stallones "Tulsa Kings" Next time passing through Tulsa we will absolutely stay at the Mayo again.

I asked to switch rooms, and while the front desk initially said there were rooms available, they later said they couldn't help and that the hotel was full. There were also maintenance issues: the safety deposit box was broken, the shower splashed water everywhere due to a poorly designed shower head, and the lighting in the room was inadequate. I needed a desk to work and asked to switch rooms again, but was told no in a way that felt unwelcoming. Overall, not a great experience. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Upon arriving to our room, we noticed there were several sweet ants crawling on the night stand and on the floor to the entry of the bathroom. We went back to reception and they immediately changed our room. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. The pool was smaller, but nice. There was a sign up sheet for access to the pool and you had to request staff to let you into the pool area. They also never kept any towels in the pool so you had to walk to the makeshift lobby dripping wet to request a towel. The construction guys accidentally set off the fire alarm at 8am on Saturday. That's one way to wake up. The breakfast area has been moved in to the small gym space while renovating and there's hardly any room. In addition, they did not keep breakfast well stocked and the toaster broke so options were very slim.
