This is a very good pizza place in northern Jersey. When I visit my friends house on a Saturday night or Sunday night, this is the place we always from, as the pizza is that good. The meat lovers pie is our favorite. But a classic cheese pie or the buffalo chicken pie are nice ones to try too. Very reasonable prices for their pizza too. im not one to crap on the little guy, I pull for local business. I was in the area for the first time and needed something until dinner. I came in to pick up my pick up, and the first thing I notice (ive worked in kitchens for over 10 years) was old fryer greese smell. If you know you know. My gut feeling was to just forget my order and walk out but I didnt. Needless to say 4 hours later and my gut is killing me. Cramping up and not feeling to good. Hott sub was warm when picking up promptly. Seeing them scoop sauce from a 5 gallon bucket sitting on the table was a huge turn off aswell. The smell alone should be enough to know hygene isnt on point. If this is your spot great. if its not id say try somewhere else. read more

This place is a special little hole in the wall restaurant. The prices are nice and low. The portions for their pasta entrees are big. The pizza is tasty and their char grilled burgers are delicious also. I like coming through late after 9:00 PM. It's a good little Italian food spot. read more

Ordered 6 pizzas . They advertised FREE delivery. We gave the driver a 7.00 tip for a 3 mile delivery and they added an additional 7.00 to our card for extra gratuity! Stopped in here on a whim driving by last week. Small dingy place, but sometimes it's the "dive" that works out best. Not so much in this case. At first, we were going to order just a couple of pepperoni slices, until I saw the guy take 1/2 leftover cheese pizza & a bucket of pepperoni to start putting it onto the pie. I quickly changed my mind & said we would just take a whole pizza, knowing that at least it would be fresh. The crust was thin enough, but not crispy enough. Definitely a little chewy. The sauce was a bit spicy for our tastes. We were not expecting that. Inside space is limited, and one of the booths would not have been available for seating because it was covered instead with flat pizza boxes waiting to be folded. The place could use a good cleaning all around, even if it is just to make you feel better about walking into it. I guess the owner races (or used to) motorcycles, because there were several photos of that on the walls, rather than focusing on the food. And the cute chubby bistro chef wallpaper border does not add to the "ambiance," though I guess it can't hurt it either. I grew up in NJ & I've definitely had better pizza. I like trying new places hoping to find that "next great thing," but this did not fit the bill. read more

Pretty good pizza, and the garlic bread is decent. They use raw garlic instead of roasted, which makes it interesting when you unintentionally eat a giant clump! I would give four stars but i was scared off a bit by the cleanliness of the shop, it was very dingy and oily everywhere. I understand not a lot of people eat there probably but a black layer of kitchen grease shouldn't be present ten to fifteen feet away from the closest kitchen appliance. I am from NJ and work in NYC. I have had pizza from Pete & Elda's in Neptune, NJ to Val's in Rumson, NJ to numerous slices throughout the city, and Hampton Pizza is right up there on the list of the best pizza I've ever had. Their crust is nice and thin and the taste of the cheese and sauce is just melt in your mouth delicious. I have just recently been introduced to the Mustard Pie by the owner of Hampton Pizza and I think I have found heaven. At first I thought to myself, "Well that sounds pretty unappetizing", but thankfully I will try just about anything because if I hadn't, I would never have known how amazingly delicious a mustard pie is! I ordered penne vodka, fried calamari, and a buffalo chicken sub for delivery. The fried calamari was excellent! Unfortunately when I went to open the buffalo chicken sub, it was just a roll with a slice of chicken (not even with buffalo sauce) and my penne vodka was pasta in a tomato sauce. I have had the penne vodka from Hampton pizza before and it was excellent. What I received this time, was not what I have had in the past. Called Hampton pizza back and they said they would delivery me a new pasta and sub. Once the second delivery finally came with my two new meals, the delivery man told me that the chef refused to re-make my penne vodka and that I had the correct meal. Called Hampton pizza back for the third time and explained my disappointment and the manager was nothing but rude and condescending. Never once was he apologetic. I realize mistakes happen and I understand that, but when the manager treats you with disrespect after multiple problems, then he has lost my business. Very unprofessional and a huge disappointment.
