Do not recommend! They rushed my water mitigation job and inflated the bill assuming they would get a blank check from my insurance company, tore my house apart without a claim being filed and charged me $2000 for drying Water from an active leak. Took the dryers away after 6 days only for water to continue to leak everywhere. Dalton assured me the work would be covered by insurance and offered to make the claim for me, but he failed to successfully file a claim before doing the demolition, after which the job sat stagnant for three weeks (with my house completely torn apart). Dalton finally realized the claim had never been filed, so I ended up filing it myself and it was denied. Hampton Restoration Group hit me with a $3300 bill, more than $2000 of which was for them to leave fans at my house for 6 days even though I asked them repeatedly if they shouldn't wait for the leak to be fixed before they begin mitigation. I spent 2 days on the phone negotiating with Chandler who eventually lowered the bill to $2200, but when I tried to work out a payment plan he told me I had 60 days to pay it in full or they would place a lean on my house and charge me another $350. He literally said to me "what's the big deal, you have like 6 investment properties." (why he thinks that, I have no idea). In the end I had to get a loan from my mom to pay them $2200 and Am now paying thousands more out of pocket to replace the flooring, drywall and bathroom vanity that they ripped out. I definitely learned an expensive lesson here. Never let a contractor try to file a claim on your behalf, never sign a work order without an itemized bill attached to it, and always trust your gut. All this to say, I do not recommend Hampton Restoration. read more

Unprofessional, inconsiderate, and rude work crew. This company did work on the home across the road from us. They brought in a large generator to power their equipment. On two different nights, the crew left the home and left the generator running all night long even though they were not there and not doing any work. The noise from the generator was so loud that we were not able to sleep. This is a code violation and noise ordinance violation in the county where we live. Authorities were contacted and the violation was reported. I contacted Hampton Restoration with my complaint and was informed that the generator was needed to power the equipment being used. But no work was being done in the middle of the night. Very inconsiderate and rude to the neighbors. read more

Company completely overinflated costs and destroyed areas that did not need repair. I had a leak that was about 2 ft x 5 in. long. I was assured over and over insurance would cover so after they tore out a 5 ft x 5 ft section in the ceiling and tore out part of the door jam nowhere near the leak, I'm looking at a $2000 bill. Took months to get the itemized bill and it was so over inflated with costs that didn't even happen. Also, what is wrong with a $2000 amount if insurance didn't cover and a $3200 bill if it did cover.... hmmm. Two prices for the same job. No wonder insurance is through the roof. After all the back and forth, I was threatened with a lean and no negotiation to pay over a 3 month period. I will tell everyone I know to stay away. They destroy way more of your home with the intentions insurance will pay to put it back. Guess what, if insurance doesn't pay, you are stuck with the extra like the door jam that is ruined for no reason and more trim on the ceiling that now all has to be replaced out of my pocket. Once Water Damage from failed wax toilet seal was determined by the plumber, Hampton Restoration Group was on the case that same day. Tanner, the project Manager was detailed in his assessment and organized the damage mitigation process. The next morning, Zach and Chris arrived on site to demo the tile floor and lower wall areas in order to access the subfloor. The work was clean and all tile, drywall removed from site. They explained how the floor will be treated for mold / bacteria and then set up fans to dry up the remaining moisture. The process was quick. I am appreciative for the time and effort all have given and how the work was prioritized in order for my family to be safe and return my house to normal. read more

Wow is all I can say. I was faced with an unfortunate plumbing leak underneath my concrete slab. This was what felt like a nightmare as my home is only 3.5 years old. The water began pooling up around my kitchen island and damaged my floors, cabinets & baseboards. It was hard to process the damage especially to a new home. That scenario turned around when I contacted Hampton Restoration. I had done my research and saw their reviews and had a friend recommend Hampton restoration. I called on a Monday at 5PM and they took my information. Things moved very quickly from there. 9AM the following morning Zach Gresham was at my home assessing the damage. He put together a team, Victor S & Evan, who would be out the following morning at 9AM to begin the restoration process. Zach, Victor S & Evan showed up exactly on time, the time quoted was between 9AM - 10AM but both days they were here right at 9AM! Imagine if the cable companies could follow that schedule! Once restoration began Evan & Victor S were extremely professional and handled all my household items with care. They actually pack up all your items that need to be moved so they can begin restorations. After packing all the items with care they began the removal of items so the damaged areas could be dried out. If it were not for all 3 of these people this nightmare of a scenario could have continued on but this is where it began to turn around. They moved very quickly, professionally and with actual compassion to our situation. I hope no one has to go through this but if you do...this is the only company you should call. I will never use another company and will continue to sing their praises. My only regret is that I did not call them first I dealt with the insurance company first. When they came to pick up their equipment, I ASKED the guys what the next step was, and they told me that they would be. So, I'm sitting waiting A WHOLE WEEK thinking maybe it's the gas thing that they haven't called, so I call them and the representative BLAMES ME saying I had to call them and the guys don't know "the process". Instead of them say they will send the estimate person, they tell me they have to contact my Project Manager first, then wait on him to contact the estimate guy, then I need to wait another week so they can get me on schedule. So wait, why wouldn't my Project Manager be monitoring my project to see that once they picked up the equipment, that he would get me scheduled for the next step??? Again, I ASKED the guys who picked up the fan/drying what the next step was WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD SIT AROUND WITH A HOLE IN THE WALL FOR A WEEK, IF THEY KNEW THEY WOULD HAVE TO CALL BACK TO SET UP ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO FINISH UP THE WORK??? Take responsibility/accountability for your actions instead of blaming your customers and if you do want to blame your customers, make sure the blame makes sense. read more

I have to admit I'm one of those people that does not leave reviews unless I either received fantastic service or horrible service and let me tell you. Earlier this year we had the unfortunate experience of living through a major disaster in our house. One of your pipes burst in our master bedroom tub and flooded everything from the second floor down, I mean we had 6" of water throughout the main floor. Luckily, we knew our neighbors also had a water damage happen so they referred the company that helped them with their loss. We called Chandler and he came out within the hour. Shortly afterwards they had plumbers come to fix the pipe along with multiple crews of guys to start work immediately. They helped us file the claim, brought in a content company to help with all our stuff and patiently worked with us every step of the way. After they dried and demo'ed everything Matt came in to handle the repairs. They completed built back our entire home with new floors throughout, new kitchen and countertops, new vanities. I mean it was like a brand new house afterwards. It did take close to 4 months to complete everything but thankfully USAA paid for an Airbnb for the entire duration of the repairs. But all in all Hampton Restoration were absolutely amazing through the entire process from the mitigation department to the office staff down to the repair division. To express our disappointment is an understatement. I have had this company do our restoration for a clean water flood we had LAST YEAR (6 DAYS SHY OF TURNING EXACTLY ONE YEAR) We had someone come in and this guy bless his heart but he was very young, told me the whole house flooring was covered only for the company to come back to us 6 months down the line charging us for the kitchen because it wasn't "included" the floors were covered as a whole and before signing my husband made sure I made sure that the whole flooring was included. This guys says yes, so I didn't think of it and signed the contract (WHICH IF I MAY ADD THEY ARE IN BREACH OF) Then when I am told that I had to come up with an extra 3k because (the kitchen was not included) I lost it. The manager or whoever said to me and I quote (WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE MONEY? HUH?! HUH?!!?!) WHY ON EARTH WOULD I NEED TO BE 1. QUESTIONED BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY 2. OUR DEDUCTIBLE WAS ALMOST 10K SO I FOUND IT VERY OFFENSIVE COMING FROM A PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE) this was not the case. By the time this was going on I was hoping my floors would be done by thanksgiving.. nope... by christmas.. nope.. ok perhaps by easter.. not even a call or a follow up from anyone. I asked for the owners number to talk directly to him but they were so secretive they wouldn't give me his number. They had phil show up and look at the job.. okay he looked concerned but that was IT... I then would follow up with him and he wouldn't follow up back. I asked for a meeting with the owner and the kid who did my estimate by the name christian to be in that meeting and look me straight in the eyes and tell me he didn't tell me the whole house was included. (We had a loss in the family back in May and that was the last time we exchanged messages with phil. It is now almost a WHOLE YEAR and no one has gotten back to me. They collected the second payment but failed to finish the job included with the second payment. I have contacted my insurance company and they have no record of them asking for a supplemental to break the cement and finish the job. They redirected me to luz a woman who not only was so condescending to the point I refuse to deal with her. so there we are stuck with BARE floors and unfinished work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. After how we have been treated. We are law abiding citizens and did not and do not deserve this kind of malpractice. You would think that after being a company in the construction industry they would at the very least cover their behinds but they never called to follow up. They were great at collecting the money but not finishing the job. I have been to the point I have contacted the builders association in the state to see what my options are. They are in breach of contract and I have had it with their disregard to getting the job completed. I am about to go to Hampton restoration review to give them my review. We had an AWFUL experience. Plumber referred HRG after we had minor leak in bathroom. Owner came out - said he could save me money so I would not have to file or pay my $2500 deductible - b/c he could do the job for $1600. He had me prepay $1600 and sign for the removal and minor paint repair service we needed. His employee came out and said removal service was not necessary - b/c we had minimal water damage? Not only was owner unwilling to adjust cost, he now stated the terms of the contract included no repairs of any kind? He now claimed the $1600 was just for use of fans and making a couple holes removing two small boards - any repair or paint was extra?? I told him that is NOT what you said or what we discussed, and I NEVER would have agreed to that. He says it was a miscommunication, and admitted he could of taken more time with me when going over the job details, but he was in a rush? Even though he was at my house for almost an hour? Neglecting to tell details of a job someone is paying you to do is misrepresenting the scope of services - thus,, this agreement was based on misrepresentation. He became defensive and manipulative on phone and said since I am not a crazy person he is 'willing' to work with me - so here were my 2 options: He would come back and do the job that was presented, but he is not a handy man and the paint may only match 90%? OR I pay $1100 and he will pick up his equipment. Which is outrageous amount for the use of fans for a couple days?? I felt stuck. I told him just do the job you told me you were going to do! I got off the phone and broke into tears. Next day we requested updated contract and itemized service invoice -(which we never received). Within same 24 hours of making this agreement both parties agreed to not move forward with job - equip was picked up. ......... I attempted to resolve dispute and sent partial payment. (We never got an invoice so we divided the total by days of actual day of service). I dont mind paying for his time or for services actually rendered, but I am not paying for a service we did not need, and for services not completed? That is not fair nor reasonable. Owner has now put a lien on our house and is still demanding full payment and is taking legal action against us?? It is absolutely ludicrous!!! We got our lawyer involved and will handle accordingly. read more
