What made it just a little more special is that my wife knew and worked with him as a teenager. (Just a few year's ago.) We parked at the pier and were lucky that we caught someone just leaving. It's not easy on a nice Summer day between the locals and tourists. Once we entered the lobby, we looked around for a bit then went into the theater. A big semi circle of comfortable seating. No one is too far from the stage. Steven's show had a small cast and I could not think of a better to have seen this. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I can't comment about food since we did not have anything here. I am looking forward to coming back to enjoy the setting both inside and out. KUDOS to the team here at Bay Street Theater.

There is covered seating outside as well.

I didn't want to write this review on yelp because I love the theater and I understand they're a nonprofit and might be struggling. I wrote a letter detailing the experience and never got an answer. I copied two of the of the people on the contact list of the theater. Does anyone know if this has been fixed and if the heat is part of a HVAC system would that mean there will also be no air conditioning in the heat of the summer. We arrived around 6:00 PM and joined the line to enter. As we got in, our tickets were scanned by fever staff. The usher brought us to our seats in Zone C. Seating is assigned on a first come first served basis in each zone. Our seats were good and had good visibility of the stage. The stage and the auditorium was filled with electric candles that had a warm and flickering glow. About 6:30 PM, the concert opened with Coldplay - Clocks. Then, the Highline String Quartet introduced themselves and talked us through the program. Some of the songs they played were Imagine Dragons - Radioactive, Coldplay - Fix You, Imagine Dragons - Eyes Closed, Imagine Dragons - Bad Liar, Coldplay - The Scientist, and Coldplay - Sky Full of Stars. As we approached the top of the hour, the Highline String Quartet asked the audience to make some noise to see if there were more Coldplay or Imagine Dragons fans. Coldplay won and they played Viva la Vida and did Imagine Dragons - Believer as an encore. The whole concert was a beautiful and magical experience. I was in awe of the music by the Highline String Quartet composed of 3 violinists and 1 cellist. Looking forward to attending more Candlelight concerts! CM Performing Arts Center is located in Lighthouse Commons, a group of businesses along Montauk Highway, and there are plenty of parking spots.

It was like Niles was having a hangout session with his awesome rockstar buddies and we all got to watch. Very cool. * The setting. Festival at a vineyard. Say no more. Beautiful! * The parking / traffic. This was seriously easy. Given, there were only 3k people there, not the 10k expected, but the in/out was simple. * Since there was only one main stage, there could've been a long layover btw bands. They did a great job with this and during one of the longer layovers (before Beck), they put Thomas Gold on stage to keep people dancin'. Well done! The Not so Great: * Food trucks- Good idea, but with no regular tent vendors, the 3k people that were there all had to hit up 5 food trucks. It took me AN HOUR to get two hot dogs. That's insane. * No set times. This is like festival 101 here. Publish when artists are taking the stage! Everyone I asked, from merch vendors to security guards, had NO clue. * Tuesday/Wednesday show. Yikes. Takes a lot of the NYC crowd out of it (wait, maybe that should be put in the Great column?) * Pharell had a pretty major billing here but only stayed for 3 songs. No bigs, it was still cool, but it should have been put as "Special Appearance by..." instead of his name in lights. I could see how people were pretty pissed about that. The reason is, if you're a movie lover and you like to watch your movie on a big screen with great sound, you're not going to get that here. Sure you may get the big screen, but there are three or four cinemas in this small, old (and yes, charming) building yet somehow nobody made sure that each one is sound proof. So during your movie you'll be hearing the soundtrack to another. The rude manager doesn't even apologize for it. He just says "it's a 1940's movie house. What do you want ?" "Ummm. 1940's movie ticket prices ?" Look as I said to him, that's fine but you should give people the choice when they're paying top dollar ticket prices. You should at least let them know that this is what they're going to be getting. I def see romance and charm in an old 40's theatre. But soundproofing is essential. I'm not even sure if movie companies like the #WeinsteinCompany or #Disney #Fox or any of them would even let their movies be shown here if they knew what the botched sound system is like. Anyhow, your choice. At least now you know before you hand over your hard-earned money.
