Took my son to see a movie and enjoyed. To begin there was no line at concessions, you walk up to a station and order what you want there isn't one standard line which could cause confusion when they get busy and many people stand around. But they offer many different options for meal deals (popcorn + drink, etc). I would love it if they implemented displays to be able to see the merch, it is currently behind the counter and you have to ask for it. I upgraded my seats and sat in DBOX seating, I would likely not do it again unless they added a tray or some sort of basket as I had to physically hold my popcorn, it could not be sat down on the arm of my chair because the seat moves. But the place was clean enough and the staff was kind. I would return and go with a standard ticket. read more

I love this theatre. My only complaint is that the popcorn sometimes taste a little burnt or sweet for no reason. The hot food though is sooooo good! I'm looking forward to seeing the odyssey in July and go to the XD theater or whatever it's called and order a lot of food! read more

I give this cinema 5 stars because of the breadth of films they offer, the courtesy and kindness of their staff, the quality of their concessions, and the clean comfort of their seats. However I do want to voice my disappointment as a person who is hard of hearing, that Eddington was not set up for closed captioning, a difficult film due to mumbling and in-film masking (very hard for lip readers). I had to spend too much time going back and forth with the box office because the caption device wasn't working. They should have informed me upfront that captions were not available. The manager very kindly issued a refund and then brought me headphones (which clarify and augment sound), but they went silent before the movie ended. I'll be back, of course, but I wanted to kindly bring these issues to the attention of staff as they can be pretty frustrating for someone who is HoH. read more

I love this movie theater. They've upped their game since Covid almost completely shutdown the American cinema industry. My biggest complaint about this location is the parking lot. Don't get me wrong. It's got ample spaces for its guests. It is extremely frustrating to try to figure out if you're in a spot or not as all of the painted lines have basically disappeared over the years. It's just frustrating sometimes to park because of the missing line issues. I'll park leaving Apple space between me and the next car, but in the change of audiences, I wind up sometimes being parked so close to that they can't even get into my car. I visited this location at least once a week. Please repaint the lines, please please! I mean, I can't say enough good things about this movie theater it's like family to me. I just hate the missing lines in the parking lot. read more

We hosted a party here and my feedback is based on that experience. First, I want to stress that this review probably would be a one star were it not for the fantastic in-person staff at the theater. I had looked online to see how you go about getting a party space and watching a specific movie. I ended up going to the theater because the website was unclear the process and only allowed specific movies less than a week out. They walked me through process, so I signed up online to reserve my day. I finally heard from our contact (unsure if they were local or not) about logistics (combo discounts, ticket prices, and choosing party before or after show) shortly after reserving date. Things were fine until the week before our movie. I touched base w contact to see if we were good or if we needed anything else. They notified me the movie we wanted was no longer available, gave me alternatives, I gave headcounts, and combo numbers. I again asked if we were good. No response. Two days before our movie, the contact asked if we had purchased tickets yet (no, because I didn't know we had to do that ourselves). I didn't hear back from contact at all after that, despite still having questions, like being charged a digital ticket fee, among other things. The day of, I touched base w manager at theater (Scott) who was super helpful. He took care of our issues and made sure logistically we were set before I met with my party. Our party hostess (her name tag was tough for me to see) was amazing. Turns out we were supposed to give them lots of information about choices on combos ahead of time! She was super patient with us while we got her the information and made sure we had everything we needed before she left for us to go to our movie. She had another team member help and he was super friendly too. No one made us feel bad about not having information they needed when they needed it and everyone was patient with our group. If you choose to do this route, know some stuff ahead of time: -Movie times are released on Tuesdays, so they won't know what's playing or times until then the week of your event. -All tickets are at one price and you have to buy them all at once. Buy them as soon as the movie time is released. -There's a digital ticket fee if you aren't a movie club member. -Know what drinks/candy you want in combos when you place your order. -dont expect communication with coordinator. If you need help you may need to go to the theater in person to get help (I called and didn't have luck) read more

This used to be my favorite movie theater after my son and I were greeted by free passes with no expiration date when we went to see a movie and the power had gone out due to a storm. We held on to those passes for many years until Black Panther came out and we used them to see it. We were surprised that just as we were told the passes were honored. That's why writing this review is difficult. Apparently, there is some kind of social media platform where employees chat with each other. One employee made a comment about a manager to another employee they thought was a friend. Instead, the manager turned into a backstabbing rat and showed the comment to the manager. The manager, instead of being a mature adult and manager fired the employee who was betrayed by the backstabbing rat! How unfair, immature and obviously a tactic to instill fear in the rest of the employees, reduce loyalty to each other and the management staff, lower morale and increase employee turnover, especially among good employees when overly sensitive managers refuse to be adults consider the performance of the people involved and just move on like EVERY MANAGER IN THE WORLD has done when their employees say something mean about them. It's par for the course, the cost of doing business as a manager and nothing to whine about and fire people over. I will never visit this particular Cinemark again! read more

This movie theater is a perfect example of my many theaters are failing. The small number of staff that were there were friendly. AND the facilities were absolutely disgusting (entrance, concessions, hallways, restrooms... ALL DISGUSTING!!!). I highly doubt any part of this place would pass a health inspection. The floor (everywhere, not just in concessions) is sticky enough you might lose a flip flop. There are beautiful, clean, well staffed and LESS expensive theaters in Middletown and Bridgeport where we will be spending our money in the future. What an utter shame. Horrible service and even worse security. I went into the movie theatre 20 mins before show time. 1015 for a 1035 movie. After sitting for 5 mins I went to use the bathroom. I noticed the theatre wasn't cleaned but didn't care. As I walked back in 2 employees were at the door so I joked and said wow someone made a mess must haven been Minecraft and he looked at me annoyed that I was "joining in on their conversation" and said umm can I help you. I said no, I am going back to my seat. He said I couldn't go in cause they were going to clean. I said I have to my girlfriend is in there and my stuff. No sir, you can't go in. I said I have to get my stuff (third time at this point) and told him at this point telling me I can't get my girlfriend and stuff is rude. His reply was I told you that you can't come in. The security guard comes in and tells me to calm down. I said, why don't you tell him to calm down, that's the employee, not me. I explained that he is the security guard and his job is to diffuse a situation not start telling the person they are wrong when I did nothing but ask to get my stuff. I go out in the hallway and I asked the security guard for his name so I could file a complaint and he said he wouldn't give it so I took a picture of him. He started yelling saying I can't do that. I told him to have a good night and leave me alone, took saying this about 5 times before he actually stopped taunting me. He then proceeddd to stand five feet from me and stare at me. After 5 mins of uncomfortable staring I asked him to please stop staring at me and my girl cause it was making us uncomfortable and was creepy, he proceeded to taunt me saying I'm trying to be a tough guy for asking him to pleas leave me alone for the probably 8th time. A person like this should not be in charge of security or diffusing situations. Amazing that someone in their late 40s, early 50s goes on a power trip because he's a security guard at a movie theatre. Very sad. Ps for those who want to say I must have been in the wrong, if that were the case, then why didn't they kick me out? Because they knew they were wrong. Simple. read more

Went to see a movie today. The theater seemed unorganized. The seats show a lot of wear and tear and the area was not clean. I saw a small shot bottle of Fire in a cup holder. The maintenance of the theater is poor. Make sure you use credit card or debit card they dont give change. Not sure I will return again!! read more

Wow been a while since I have been to the movies .. very impressed !! I loved how they had a bar and you could purchase beer or wine. That is new for me I never drink alcohol at the movies before. The seats recline back and we're extremely comfortable. My daughter brought blankets for us and if I didn't like the movie so much I definitely could have fallen asleep. I have moviegoer knees and I suffer a lot of pain coz of which I've never been able to go to the theater as often as I would like to have gone... but now all that's in the past.... seating @ this cinema are all luxury recliner loungers..electric-powered, plush and oversized, and have footrests and cupholders! All seating is reserved which I like so you don't have to be there early just to catch a good seat. Theater technology's offered- XD auditorium- large wall to wall screen, better projectors and more speakers (custom) RealD 3D - crisp and brighter realistic images feels like you stepped into the movie. 3D Glasses like sunglasses The concession stands offer beer,coffee and the regulars popcorn, candy etc. if I had to find one flaw it would be the popcorn...way to salty and not so crisp although it was made freshly just then. read more

Nice enough theater with great sound and comfortable seats. Love the assigned seating albeit staged closer together than other theaters of this type. The doors to the outside are thin tho - from where we were seating in the theater, we could hear some children playing outside. The concession stand area needs work. It is very confusing. There are three areas: one for the bar/ice cream, popcorn, cashier and around the corner to get napkins and condiments. But there are no signs. It is very inefficient. While i was waiting to order my popcorn, at least 2 people interrupted the process by asking my server how to navigate the system. So along with getting my popcorn order, she had to answer questions and call out a dinner order to her coworker. Then there was only one cashier. The whole process took way too long. The $5.50 deal on Tuesdays is stellar, especially since so many of the theaters have the reclining seats, but the movies will sell out! Get 'em while you can! Also, I sat in the front row - in recliners - in one of the smaller theaters (#4?), and it was just way too close. So don't get those seats unless you're desperate. There's a huge concessions area in the front, and the whole lobby smells of buttery popcorn. read more

I went to see Deadpool 2 and I must say watching a movie with these reclining seats was amazing!!! Truly an experience. There was so much space! I have now been spoiled and will never visit another theater again. This place is awesome. I didn't try any concessions, so my review is only for the theater itself. I went with a few friends and we prepurchased our tickets, so we simply went to our seats upon arriving. We had a large group (9), and ended up taking a full row, which happened to be the 2nd row from the screen. Normally, this would be an issue, but the seats recline pretty far, so there were no issues with my neck being sore/stiff. You can also put your feet up, almost like being on your couch at home. What a great theater to see a movie. First of all the seats are big and comfortable. They are power seats that let you recline it what ever position that makes you comfortable. Plus the space between the seats let's you walk pass a seat that is in the recline position. They have reserved seating, that is nice. The bathrooms were clean and new. This place is about as good as it gets as far as movie theaters go. The first movie I know for certain I saw in this theater was Mrs. Doubtfire in 1993. Though I may have seen White Fang there in 1991, but I don't remember. The theater has certainly changed over the 26 or 28 years I've been enjoying movies there. Over the years I've gone to many different movie theaters in CT. For many years, this North Haven theater was at least a 30 minute drive away when I had several other theaters in the same radius. Despite this, I wound up there often. They always seemed to be playing more movies, showing movies longer after they'd disappeared from other theaters, and offering a wider selection - even among other places of similar size. I couldn't tell you how many times the name of the business has changed over the years because I've always known it as simply "North Haven movie theater." I don't know how many times the business has changed owners in 26 or 28 years, and I don't care. What I can tell you is that sometime in the not-too-distant past, the theater underwent a makeover and they now have luxury reclining seats...and they are very comfortable! I've never really been one to eat or drink while seeing a movie in the theater, so I can't comment on their food and beverage selections, but I betcha they have popcorn! Since I've lived close to this theater in more recent years, it's always the first place I turn to when there's a good movie playing. Can't imagine how a theater could get any better than this, but if you've got a better one, I'd love to see a movie in it! read more

I came to this theater with my sister. This theater is spacious and clean at least when I went it was. There are plenty of theater rooms too so you will have a lot of options to watch if you want to check out an additional movie. The people that were there were not rowdy at all and were there to watch the movie as it should be. It was a very pleasant, peaceful vibe. read more

This place used to be my favorite but I have to tell you, I'm getting really tired of the soda machine being out of Coke Zero. It's one thing to have it happen when it first came out, but it happens so often these days that it appears management doesn't care to stock pile enough so that it's always on hand. That's not all that seems to be uncared for... The cafeteria section is often dirty and in disarray. Long gone are the days where you walked into a movie theater and the air felt clear, the carpet have off a fresh clean scent and countertops weren't sticky. I'm already in the process of cancelling my movieclub membership and finding a new theater. It costs so much to go to the movies these days and the films aren't worth it, if the theater isn't going to provide a clean and provided atmosphere they don't deserve my business...
