I've known about this place for sometime now and even posted an exterior shot from when I was driving around looking for another place with a footnote to come back some time. Don't know what I was expecting but I walked into a very nice convenience store and it the back, a very nice Cafe, tastefully decorated and a full kitchen that could serve a much larger space. Not an expansive menu but from what i could tell, the emphasis was on quality and not the number of menu items offered. You walk in and follow the signs to the counter and after reviewing the menu, you place your order and then you pay. If you are dining in, you come back and grab a table till your number is called. If it's take out, you come back and pick it up. Looked over the lunch menu and a couple of things looked good. Breakfast menu looked very good as well.The lady at the counter asked me about todays special which was a Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich with Honey Mustard which sounded good. For a side, I had the potato salad. Place my order,paid and in short order my number was called and I picked it up at the Counter. Looked good and when I bit it, it was as good as it looked. Steak was nicely cooked and while I was a bit leary of the Honey Mustard, it turned out to be a nice compliment. The Potato Salad was excellent with a bit of a tang from the mustard used in it but not overpowering with a nice taste and texture. A bit hidden and not well marked on I-77 but it's the at the Tomlin Mill Exit North of Statesville on the west side of the interchange. Worth giving in a try.

As a rewards member, I got $.05 off. Upside had an offer for $0.11 cent cash back. Due to the $0.05 off, I'll only get $0.06 cash back per gallon. I ended up getting about 12 gallons of gas. The pump were fine and worked as it supposed to. I went inside after pumping gas just to check it out. They have majority of the typically gas station items but it was small inside. I didn't see a public restroom. Also, it smelled weird inside.. kinda like a wet dog. I thought that was odd.

I used to work not far from there and I could drop off my vehicle and they'd give me a ride to work! How many places do that for you! The original owner and his brother began the business and it's now being run by one of their sons. Being a long, time customer, they would sometimes split the bill for me to pay over two months. You can't get better service anywhere I'm telling you. The guys are all super polite and will take the time to explain things to you. They get the work done in a timely fashion and the prices are fair. They stand behind their work too, so if something isn't quite right you can take it back and they'll take care of it. They have a small waiting area if you have to stay while they change the oil or what have you. It's the building of an old service station so it's not fancy but they keep it clean.

I do wish Hip Chics Boutique has more size options as this medium felt large. This medium size was not fitted as it was very loose and wide. It is a comfortable wear. Oddly, the tulle mesh fabric was not itching my skin as I can puff it outward away from my skin. I have sensitive skin. I prefer cotton fabric. This woman's top is 96% polyester and 4% spandex. I now have a new hot pink top added to be wardrobe. Price is reasonable for good value. One week later this same women's top is now sold out and Hip Chics Boutique's website states "404 Page Not Found. The page you were looking for does not exist." Pleasant staff, courteous service and clean store. The pharmacist is willing to answer any questions you may have. My husband has a hard time swallowing larger tablets and he offered to compound his medications in order for him to take them without the fear of choking. They are always striving to make an ordinary trip to the pharmacy feel like a visit with "family"!
