He thoroughly checked out the furnace which is over 20 years old. He was unable to light the furnace manually and eventually determined the gas valve was not functioning (in addition to the broken igniter) and showed me how he knew that. He left for 45 minutes to get the parts, came back and we had heat before noon. So, basically it was prompt services, Mason was very competent, informative and friendly, and I was very satisfied with Ciamillo. The price was more than I anticipated, but I don't really know what the average rate would be for the repairs that were done. Apparently the price of parts has shot up dramatically this year like everything else, so I believe the price was fair.
