One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. The Greek Salad had what appeared to be a whole can of garbanzo beans at the bottom, but we snacked on them as a group and we got through most of it. The dressing was addicting. The food was creative and interesting enough to appeal to the eye as well the palate. They have a very good kitchen or food manager. :) We got there just at opening, which was 11AM. There was already a line of people. The poor staff was just icing down the salads as people were picking the pre-made salad boxes up and went to wait in line to pay. There are shaded areas for eating and flush toilets (yay! - so important!). The toilets are neat and clean and are found at the back of the property. The toilets cannot be seen from the road which may be a smart thing otherwise they would have people stopping all the time. The restrooms are only for those who have business with Hana Health. This food stand supports Hana Health, so I think technically, it was okay for us to wander back there. The restrooms are so cute, too. They were tiny; it was like what I imagined living in a tiny home and having a tiny restroom would be like. Very, very clean, too. Well, I found one in the most remote part of Maui...and it's worth a stop even to pet the sleepy cat on the front step. Once you hit the Seven Sacred Pools, you can either retrace your drive on the Hana Highway, or throw caution to the wind and take the road less traveled - Highway 31 which takes you on the dry, windy southeastern part of Maui. No waterfalls but often breathtaking views of waves crashing on the rocks below. The challenge is that most of the road is not paved, so you become the human bobblehead for quite a bit of the ride. Unless you did neck workouts at the gym before you left, it can get exhausting, so a moment of respite may be in order since there are so few places to stop along this route. The Kaupo Store is a throwback in time, a wooden structure that would have looked appropriate on "Petticoat Junction" if the folksy sitcom was set in Hawaii. Inside is a general store full of eccentric memorabilia, antique clocks and bottles, and some pretty dusty-looking food on the shelves. You're not likely going to be in the mood to shop for dried goods at this point of the trip. You'll be there to get some ice cream or a beer, or use the outhouse in the back from all the kidney-jiggling you experienced. What's pretty funny is that they keep all their cold stuff in two old refrigerators, so it's like you're at home when you pull out the Haagen-Daaz coffee-and-almond ice cream bar. Except they charge $3.40 for it there. But frankly you'll be so grateful to find the store in the middle of nowhere. And the girl at the counter is a delight.

Respected the land.* Our first stop for some fuel after a nice hike on the Pipiwai Trail. ⁣ I don't think this local family owned biz gets enough love and attention it deserves! Everything comes straight from their farm! The owner, such a charismatic man. It was nice chatting with him a little about the trees, the kind of fruits he has growing, and how he knew we were Filipinxs cos of "the way we take pictures" lol Filipinxs looove their pics⁣. You probably won't have any service while on the Road To Hana, so just be on a lookout. You'll see their sign! ⁣ This coconut is straight from his tree!!!! If you haven't seen my Maui story, you'll see him cutting it down from his tree! Super cool tbh⁣ ⁣The coconut was sooo fresh!!! He then cut it in the middle for the boo and I to eat the coconut meat. They have a small lot that can probably fit 3 to 4 cars easily. They have tables and benches for you to just sit, relax and enjoy. They offer other goodies, too! I also like how they allow visitors to sign their farm stand. With the amount of names written around, it's hard to believe there's very little reviews here on Yelp! So I hope this review reaches someone to spread the word about Hana Cultural Farmstand! ⁣ Pricing is reasonable. The coconut was $10, better pricing here compared to other farm stands we checked out during our trip. The bread was, I believe, so,where between $6-$8 which is affordable because if you started early like we did, you're going to need some fuel during your trip. And, if you decide to drive up to Ulupalakua choose a nice day because the view as you drive up is phenomenal and well worth it.

Mana has a 'ton of healthy food options' and the hot food bar is superb; many organic selections, killer soups, sandwiches, steamed veges, etc. The hot food bar is hands-down way superior than Whole Foods. There is plenty of 'scan to park' spots available in Paia and it may be important to note that there is not a lot of places to sit down and eat your food if you purchase food to go... you kinda have to find a shady curb somewhere to sit down and eat.
