Such a charming cafe!! Although it does seem to be located in the middle of nowhere, it is actually a common stop for those on the road to and from Haleakalā. I've stopped here twice, both occasions after watching the amazing Haleakalā sunrise with a tour group (Skyline Hawaii and I forgot the other tour group). It's a very authentic cafe, where you can personally see homegrown lavender and other plants right behind their cafe. Although they specialize in lavender infused drinks/food items, they also sell other lavender infused things such as body butter, lotion, bath salts, etc. Fun to look around! RESTROOMS: Porta Potties just a short walk towards the woods behind the cafe. LAVENDER MATCH TEA LATTE: Although it was like $6 for a 12 oz cup, I really enjoyed this unique flavor. It was the perfect amount of lavender, not too much or overwhelming. They also didn't skimp out on the matcha which I appreciate and is a pet peeve of mine. Would recommend this although it's a little pricey, but support local businesses! Their menu also includes sandwiches, burritos, teas, coffees, pastries, and donuts from a popular local vendor. read more

What can I say about this property that hasn't already been mentioned? First off, the view from up there is breathtaking! This attraction has been my favorite since we landed here in Maui - one that has definitely been memorable! To be surrounded by the aroma of Lavender in the air, the warm tropical breeze and beautiful landscape has a peaceful effect on your spirit. Took some time to walk around and take it all in. Wanted to explore more of the up country and found this gem on Yelp. I then started to hear their name a few other places and so happy we went. It's cooler so if you need a break rom the heat this is the spot. We went beg of June so lavender wasn't there, but the place was still magical. Not much happening on the side of this crater, but if you're on the way down, this is not a bad stop. Aggressively lavender-themed, they offer a mix of mostly sweet food items (as well as a gift shop of soaps and stuff). Lavender lemonade is a fairly intuitive (and delicious combination), but amazingly enough, lavender cinnamon rolls aren't bad either. Their facilities are limited so I wouldn't expect quick service or a great deal of options, but it was a nice novelty stop, and a consolation prize given the clouds that regularly cover the mountainous areas. read more

Cute quaint coffee house which has lot more to offer! We had the traditional chai and hot chocolate and both were delightful and yummy! The garden is beautiful with lots of fruit bearing trees and lavender plants of course. We went during the non flowering season, so no pretty lavender field pics and stuff. Cool little spot on the way down from the Haleakala Crater that's a combination of lavender farm, retail store, and coffee shop. You can order lavender coffee or other drinks at the counter, as well as some pastries, and enjoy them on the picnic gardens in the farm. They sell lots of different lavender products too. I thought the coffee was pretty good, and the lavender flavor was interesting. My wife got a latte and enjoyed it as well! read more

What a gem of a cafe! We had just come down from a long hike on the mountain, and this place was exactly what we needed. I got a hot coffee with macadamia milk (strong, smooth, nutty, and delicious) and my boyfriend had a lavender infused cold brew (rich with a subtle lavender after taste, and ice cubes made of coffee). We also split a brioche cinnamon sugar roll donut which were from Donut Dynamite, made by a baker who apparently won a donut competition on the Food Network! It was sooo delicious. The customer service was also excellent, and we managed to find a nice bar of lavender soap to bring back home as a gift for someone. read more

I actually came here on accident! We were looking for the really large Ali'li farm. However it was an awesome mistake because now that I have been to both I'm in love with this one more. Don't get me wrong, both are fabulous and beautiful. What I love about this one is the layout of the shop and cafe. It feels spacious and peaceful. Also I'm smitten by their menu offerings! From the treats, drinks and savory items - wow everything is delicious. So yes I'm completely biased since it has more and better food!! read more

A small and quaint cafe located along the main road to Haleakalā, this is the perfect place to pull over (driving or biking down from the crater). There are three parts to the stop: i) a cafe serving teas/coffees plus an assortment of donuts and pastries, ii) the lavender store which sells everything from body butter, bath salts, to lavender soaps and flowers etc, and iii) the gardens, which have picnic seating and quaint little benches to sip your latte on while taking a break from "grueling" downhill bike ride (where you don't even need to peddle once). The lavender based products are a little on the pricey side but they're aiming for the tourists looking to open up their wallets so it works for them. The shop is run by a small family and they bake/prepare everything on-site themselves. Although it was super rainy (and cold) during our ride down from the crater on the bikes the hot coffee and fresh pastries were an absolute blessing, truly might have been one the most delicious coffees prepared in the world. If they have available definitely try to snag a macadamia doughnut. read more

I'm not sure why this place gets such a low rating from people. Did anyone else go to any other lavender farm? The larger lavender farm (Ali'i Kula) costs $3 for parking (just to see the view you could see from Haleakala), while this one has ample amounts of parking. The service is excellent. The lady who helped us was extremely sweet and gave us free sprigs of lavender for purchasing various products. The food was soooo delicious! We had the lavender tea and the lemonade. Their lemonade was superior to Ali'i Kula's lemonade. We bought the Maui tacos, which were perhaps the best tacos I have ever had. Sure they are a little pricy, but isn't all food in Hawaii expensive? Don't have unrealistic expectations about food prices in Hawaii... It's not Cali! read more

What a darling little place! I'm visiting from Texas, and I stopped by on the way back down from a failed attempt to drive to the crater (major cloud cover). The outside features gorgeous tropical plants and flowers, and the inside is a very cute shop/cafe. Some of the lavender gift items are a little pricey as some people have noted, but some were also very affordable and just a few dollars, so I was able to get some good souvenirs for folks back home without spending too much. The menu looked good, but I had already eaten lunch. But the baked goods looked too delicious to pass up, so I also ordered a lavender scone, which they served with a side of fresh (I think whipped) butter. It was absolutely delicious and had fruit in it...I could've easily eaten a whole 'nother one. The owner was there and was very sweet and gracious, and we ended up having a nice long conversation. I learned that they grow tea as well, and will soon have someone offering yoga and meditation classes there. One of her young staffers also gave me some great advice on local hiking. It was a really peaceful, cute little spot and I'm so glad it was open when I passed by! read more

We had a great time chatting with the owner - she was so sweet - and browsing all of her lavender goodies, which she makes herself. Products are very pure and smell amazing. Worth a visit if you are remotely close to this truck/cafe! We were up visiting some friends and the lavender farm in nearby Kula and came over for a lunch. The Maui pork tacos were literally melt in your mouth delicious. The HI style BBQ pork was the most flavorful, moist and tender HI style BBQ I've had in 3 visits to the islands. The Maui beef tacos were also flavorful and delicious but they didn't knock my socks off - still way above average. They do not skimp on the meat in their tacos (unlike some trucks). These tacos are MEATY. If you don't like tacos, they have a chicken wrap with a kale pesto. I know, kale is the life-blood of hipsterdom and is everywhere and in everything but here they've made it into a fantastic pesto. Finally, their "Biker Burrito" is a symphony of tastes and textures; eggs, potatoes, lime, papaya and cheese. I know, sounds kind of weird but it is delicious. Next time I might have them add some sausage to it. This place is obvious but not well marked. It is right next to Eco Tours Kula. The Yelp address is slightly wonky but you'll see a sign on the road. It is also listed under Yelp as Higher Ground Cafe. read more

Also the tour is very informative and enjoyable! Our tour guide Gianna was extremely informative and very patient and courteous! Had a lot of local inside knowledge too because she is born and raised on the island! We couldn't of asked for a better guide! We had maui lavender acai bowl after enjoying zipline. It had a strong lavender flavor. Not too sweet and very simple. We liked it but it needed more fruits and granola on top and honey! It cost $10.50. I think it is a little bit over priced. read more

What a cute little cafe. They have all these handmade items on the menu. We had the prosciutto sand which on olive and lavender bread and I would have to say amazing is an understatement. The bread is hand made and it definitely tasted special. The other item we had that was impressive was the chai latte with rooibos tea. We arrived early for our zip lining tour, and this cafe happened to be right next door. This place is so cute! It smells incredibly fragrant and calming due to the lavender. The employees are so kind, warm and welcoming, especially Monica! She was an absolute sweetheart. The offer amazing lavender enhanced teas and coffee, as well as delicious pastries and sweets. Nice little cafe on your way down from Haleakala after the sunrise in the morning. Tried the lavender cream cheese with Bagel and lavender coffee. The taste was very unique and we enjoyed it. It is pricey but ok to try once while on vacation. They also took a while to bring things up as there is only one cashier and another person preparing the coffee and food. Everything is served on paper cups and plates. They had lavender based lotions, jams etc. which were a bit pricey too. Good place to chill out if you are not in a rush. read more
