I was in the area and was looking for some food to go. I walked by this spot and decided to get some pho. It was a cool and gloomy Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is small but it was packed with customers dining in and taking it. The staff were friendly and prices were reasonable. I ordered the chicken broth with grill chicken pho. The broth and veggies were in one container and the grill chicken was in another container. I was pleasantly surprised with the healthy portion of chicken. I combined my pho in my own bowl and feasted. That pho was delicious and very hearty. I was very satisfied with my meal and saved some leftover broth for soup for lunch the next day. This is a spot I will keep bookmarked to return for some more pho and other menu items.

Cold Brew with whole milk at HANCO'S made with coffee beans from Vietnam roasted fresh in US.

Tried a few of their new DRINKS menu including the Matcha Latte and Cold Brew. Cold Brew is pretty strong the way I like it with whole milk. Their Matcha Latte is very good very much like the one I had in Japan, strong and yet not bitter. Next time I'll try their Hojicha latte.

I just love this place and have been coming here for years. It's one of those "how in the world have I not already reviewed this??" places. For me it's either the veggie chicken or tofu banh mi and a seltzer. No butter or mayo. If I'm feeling extra industrious, I'll take the sandwich home and add my own vegan mayo and butter, but I honestly don't ever miss it. Very solid vibes, cheap, and always consistent food. Love it!

I wanted to stop by a Vietnamese Restaurant in the area for some high quality Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I found Hanco's in Park Slope. I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee which was $6.26. It took a long time to make (around 5 minutes). Ultimately, it was pretty good. It definitely helped me get my coffee fix in, however, it is also definitely not the strongest Viet Iced Coffee I've had. I would suggest going to a more authentic Viet restaurant for their iced coffee for next time. But still solid for what I got, although a bit expensive. The ambiance is really nice and casual though!

Hanco's is always a great choice. The online ordering for takeout and pickup time is always quick and painless. I love the tofu rolls and the peanut butter sauce is something truly special. Definitely recommend especially for anyone looking for diverse vegetarian options.

Really great spot for fast-casual Vietnamese. We shared a couple of banh mis (grilled pork & chicken), a grilled chicken vermicelli (bun), and the beef pho - all hit the spot if you're in the area and craving this particular cuisine. Noodles were a bit stuck together but all in all still good. Big fan of the fresh banh mi bread. Watermelon slushie (summer special?) was refreshing on a v hot day. Unfortunately they were hit by the sriracha shortage and don't offer any knock off substitutes. Gotta respect their loyalty.

The new location is definitely cleaner and the bathroom clean. But the staff is still a bit "hard of hearing at times" and a bit cheap with condiments. The sandwiches are all right and their boba tea drinks aren't like astonishingly amazing!

Hanco's Bubble Tea & Vietnamese - I broke up with Hanco last year because they ran out of Tapioca (Boba). I couldn't believe it, how could a bubble tea store run out of bubbles?? But it wasn't their fault. There was a pandemic shortage - a crisis so bad it had a name-- "BOBAGEDDON" ! Supply chain issues suddenly became real. Disappointed, I bought my own tapioca pearls - and to make a long story short - I tried to DIY bubble tea at home... and what a disaster ! There are some things you should just leave to the professionals... Why I love Hanco's ? 1) Milk can be customized- whole, skim, oat, almond, soy or (if you can afford the calories) half and half. I love that you can choose the low fat milk - but they don't allow you to adjust the sugar level (at least not online/delivery). Wish they had the option to adjust both the milk and sugar levels. 2) Bubble Tea - mine was perfect tonight. Not too sweet, actually could have been sweeter. The boba - generous amount & great texture! 3) Menu options - Nice selection, consistently delicious/ good quality. Nicely packed, delivery was quick. Overall, excellent customer experience. Please add a "sugar free" option for the online menu options

Neighborhood spot, cute little cafe with pretty solid banh mi sandwiches and wide variety of drinks to match. Everyone seems to love to bubble tea but I opted for the Vietnamese coffee and it did not disappoint. Went with the grilled pork sandwich, the meat was cooked expertly and combined well with the cucumbers and carrots. Bread was decently crispy although the overall sandwich was on the smaller side. At $11 a sandwich, price performance is solid for Park Slope standards.

Came here to try their bahn mi. Classic bahn mi is pretty good. Portion wise, it seemed pretty big to me but that's subjective. It's not small that's for sure but for the price it seems to be. I personally wasn't able to finish the sandwich. With regards to drinks, absolutely don't get their taro bubble tea because it was atrociously powdery. I couldn't even drink it at all. The interior of the resto is bright, airy, and spacious. I enjoyed my dine in experience. What really ruined it for me was their bubble tea which is disappointing because many other reviewers enjoyed it. Maybe it was an off night, but if you're anything like me, and you dislike powdery tasting bubble tea, then pass up on it from here. Just go to brew memories for your boba needs. I would like to go back and try other foods like their pork bahn mi which friends have recommended to me, and their pho. Check them out for sure, they seem to be a local favorite and most likely for good reason! I personally will be returning to try other menu items.

Took a sandwich and mango boba to-go from here to eat in Prospect Park on a warm summer day and it was PERFECT! Everything was delicious, sandwich is loaded with meat and toppings and is extremely filling, and the mango boba was extremely refreshing. I also want to note that for a park blanket sandwich it works quite well as it was remarkably well put together and easy to eat without making a mess. Service was also extremely fast considering how busy they were when I went, and it has a nice ambiance but beware peak meal times because it will get quite crowded inside and might make sitting in the restaurant a bit overstimulating.

The aunties are mentioned often in other reviews, and that's because they're amazing. Some are sweet, some are sour (the deserts, that is), they'll let you know. Honesty since a cake here is $5, you can afford to try everything! How on to the main reason that you came, the Banh Mi. The bread is crispy, the ingredients are super fresh, and the tastes combine perfectly. The decor is perfect for this kind of spot. No frills. There are three tables and a bunch of chairs. It's exactly what I want in a takeout type place. They concentrate on the food. So, to wrap this one up. Go. I'd say that I'll be back, but I've been coming here for years. All four dishes were delicious, and I would highly recommend the spring rolls and beef pho. The beef pho broth had deep flavor, and the noodles had a great, chewy texture and were different from the typical pho noodles in Vietnamese restaurants. The pho is also served with their homemade sriracha and hoisin sauce. The beef slices in the pho were a bit dry and overcooked, but I would still recommend you try the pho here; it was delicious. The spring rolls were big and packed with filling. We really enjoyed them! The fish lettuce wrap platter and pork skewer platter were exactly the same with the exception of the protein. The platters come with rice paper wrappers that you dip into water for 30 seconds, lettuce, mint, basil, cilantro, pickled radish and carrot, and cucumbers. The platters were good but also seems like something you can easily make yourself at home. The fish was a bit dry and overcooked, but the pork skewers were well made. Although I really enjoyed the food here, it wasn't special enough for me to want to return to dine here. Service: Service was excellent, and staff were friendly. At 5pm, we were the first party of 2 to arrive, and soon after, three other parties came after us. I'm not sure why the hostess chose to seat all four parties in one small corner of the restaurant while the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Tables were placed very closely together, and seating was a bit tight. It seemed odd to seat everyone in one corner even when the restaurant was clearly not filling up. Ambiance: The ambiance and decor is lovely here. Seating is very comfortable, and the place is beautiful. It's well-lit and has a nice outdoor garden feel with plenty of sunlight. The restaurant is pretty big with tables for both small and large groups. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!
