Bill (the owner) made it perfectly clear to us that our puppy would be between 11 and 17 pounds as an adult and that it's difficult to know for sure. She is now 13 pounds and we couldn't be happier. Since most of their puppies are "hybrids" meaning a mix of two breeds it is difficult to know for sure which breed will be dominate. Ours is a Havanese and Maltese mix so it's a "Havamalt". They DO allow you to handle the puppies even if you aren't going to buy! We were in there 10 times over 2 months playing with different puppies until we decided. They obviously won't allow unsupervised children to play with them and obviously non-serious buyers. Our puppy did NOT come from a puppy mill. We verified it. Our dog is the smartest dog I've ever owned and most healthy. We also love the groomer there. She does the best job and the price is great. She is friendly, efficient and on schedule. Our dogs love going there and are never stressed when groomed. As a matter of fact, we were there today!

He came as a totally blank slate, but it was very clear that he was on a tight schedule- and we kept it that way. We've taken cubby to two vets and they both said he is by far the cutest and kindest puppy!! The entire process with Mary was exciting and transparent. She is very responsive and *responsible*. Her communication is clear, helpful and direct. She gave us so much great information about the care of a small puppy and we waited patiently for him to be born. I was lucky to get a choice of first pick and wanted the smallest and that's what we got. We were able to visit him one time before we got him which showed us she was open and honest. Clean home, clean cribs, clean EVERYTHING!! All of her pups were well behaved AND well tempered. You can tell these puppies are loved. Our cubby is tender and sweet, rambunctious and curious. And a wonderful addition to our family. Thanks to Marklins and Holiday's for their help giving us the pom of our dreams!!

I have had Catnificent Quantum for about three weeks now and he is the most adorable little man. He has no problem with my other two cats or our family puppy and is full of energy. I believe Jackson Galaxy would call him a mojito cat! He is both confident and easy going. Vlada was extremely nice, lovely to speak with, and an effective and prompt communicator! Overall I had a very enjoyable experience. Their cats come with a little health passport, which is very cute and convenient to have. Vlada was transparent about how she cares for the cats and gave a very thorough guide for preparation and care. I am extremely pleased that I went with Catnificent Cattery.

Vlada provided me some goodies to get us going, and because of traffic, it took over 4 hours to get home. She slept and just looked around - no crying, no problems. She is 7 months old today (10/19/25), and is PRECIOUS. I am NOT a cat person - I am a dog person, but I have fallen hard for my Ellie. We experienced ZERO of the horror stories I have heard about kittens and cats. No accidents - she was already litter box trained. No scratching on furniture - she was scratch post trained but she's not really a big scratcher. She has the sweetest meow when she wants something, but it's never annoying or too often. She loves going "outside" (on a leash of course - she is completely an indoor cat) where we go to the mailbox and I brush her. She loves going "bye bye" in her cat backpack - she travels beautifully. Not once has she bitten or scratched - not even accidentally. She is definitely not a lap cat - she will not even sit in my lap for a moment, but she loves being held and kissed and snuggled as I am walking around. She likes to be near us, but she is never overbearing or clingy. A funny quirk: she is very hot natured - she loves being cool so she sits in front of air vents sometimes and has no interest in being anywhere near or on a blanket. Thank goodness we have hardwood and ceramic tile flooring for her! I have taught her to sit and come. And her favorite play includes wand toys and those little 1 inch pom balls. She loves chasing them all around the house, and she even brings them back to me to throw again. Also, Vlada was excellent to work with. And, my Ellie is perfectly healthy. We had her spayed last month and she recovered wonderfully.

Dogs are in the shelter because an owner failed them, then we as rescue, as well as shelters, do the best we can to pick up the pieces from that. Any dog not on monthly heartworm prevention is going to have worms, we have seen a ton of hookworms this year and they are resistant - sometimes up to 4 treatments to get rid of them. Dogs may not be in the shelter or with a rescue group long enough for them to test negative. If you are adopting from a rescue or shelter then you have to go into that with the aspect of you want to save a dog. You may need to do a little extra work to get that dog healthy. In rescue a dog can stay in foster care for a bit, shelters don't have that luxury as there are too many animals in need. I always say there are more irresponsible people with pets than there are those of us trying to remedy the problem. Hard to win when you are outnumbered. Have a little patience because dealing with the need day in and day out can wear on you. Rescue has the benefit of any dog we take in we have evaluated and we will find a good home for that dog, but working at a shelter has to be difficult, you see nice dogs get put to sleep probably on a daily basis, you have to harden yourself a little to sustain that. Walk into the shelter with love in your heart to save a pet and give it a good life, these animals have had enough drama already.

We were disappointed but I'm guessing that it's probably a blessing given that the place was shut down 3 times in like 6 months for bacterial issues. I imagine that any pup we got could have cost us in vet bills in the long run. Just sorry to have gotten my hopes up. I'm guessing, but since it was a puppy we were after, one of the staff probably took him. Boo hiss.

My extremely large 110lb (scary) German Shepherd was nothing but a big teddy bear and other practices would be too nervous to treat him. My German Shepherd, Duke has been put through the ringer in the last couple years. One day I returned home from work to find Duke not being able to use his rear legs, a quick call to Highway - they got me in immediately and referred me out to a specialist which added FOUR YEARS to his life! From (2) knee surgeries-TPLO, open leg wound, spine surgery, and a severe spine infection, the staff at Highway were there all the way. Recently, my wife and I had to put Duke to sleep due to the complications of a severe lung infection and leukemia. Prior to deciding what course of action is to be taken, I was given options, prices, and the outlooks for each course of action. And when it was time to say goodbye for the last time, I was surrounded by all the people that made his last few years of life THE BEST he could have asked for. Duke has been to this practice numerous times and was loved by all the staff and for a "big scary dog" that's all you can ask for is for staff to treat him with the respect provide the care he deserves. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone with any age pet, regardless of their size, or temperament their staff is trained to handle them all.
