Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

My experience with this company was disappointing. Before hiring, I recommend asking to speak with…read moreprior clients and reviewing completed projects similar to the scope of work you are considering. The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Thank you for your help. You people did a good job.

I got frustrated and started a project on Yelp, TX 5J handyman responded very fast to my inquiry and came on the same day to give me estimate. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

From start to finish, Augustine was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure every detail was done right. His crew showed up on time every day, worked hard, and kept the space clean and organized throughout the entire project. What really stood out was their commitment to customer service. Augustine genuinely cares about his clients and it shows in both his communication and the quality of his work. The finished office looks fantastic: seamless, well-crafted, and exactly what we envisioned. It's like the office has always been there. If you're looking for a contractor who is reliable, skilled, takes pride in their work and delivers at a very reasonable value, I highly recommend Augustine and the Cap City Contractors team. We would absolutely hire them again!

The fact Gabriel didn't proactively inform me about this clear problem, instead letting me waste more than an hour waiting for him is a red flag and says nothing good about Cap City Contractors. NOW KNOWN AS COUNTRY CASTLE HOME & REMODELING…read more Builder was to entirely rebuild our house after a fire that was caused by a lightning strike on Friday, 14 June 2013. Things started out great at first, we had a good working relationship, things were running fairly smoothly, but when it came to finishing the last items on the punch list, things have grinded to a screeching halt. We were able to move in on 28 February 2014 with the understanding that Country Castle would complete the remaining items on the punch list in addition to finishing several major projects inside. To this day, I have yet to get them to complete every item on the punch list, in addition they have not done the finishing work on my fireplace or staircase and many other items, and not exactly sure when that might even be. He said he'd do them but not until he is paid the additional $2,800 we supposedly owe in change orders. Although contractor says we owe the ADDITIONAL $2,800 in change orders, I am withholding the last of the money owed, but the money does not even seem to be a motivating factor. Although we had not paid at first because we did not have anymore insurance money, it has now come down to the principle of the thing that I don't want to pay until ALL of the work is done, and he does not want to do anymore work until he is paid. We are at a stalemate. If I don't withhold the money, then I don't have any leverage whatsoever. Let's just say that although this is my neighbor and I thought by giving him the job, he'd get the job done in a timely manner, but alas I was wrong. Things started out great, but have soured over the entire project which started back in June 2013 and to this date, the project is still NOT complete. Needless to say my husband and I very frustrated. We made a lot of concessions on the design of the house, we always gave them the insurance money upfront without holding any back, and we were amenable to many oversights. If I had known back then what I know now, I would have probably hired somebody different. Although the actual construction is solid and very well-built, the timeliness in completing the project leaves a LOT to be desired. So my recommendation is this: If you want a solidly built house with very good construction, then by all means hire them. But, if you get easily frustrated by deadlines not being met, don't like having surprises dumped on you, and don't like to make concessions, then don't hire them.

The bathroom had not been updated since the 70s and a small leak from the plumbing was starting to cause water spots on the ceiling of the room below. We had several companies come out to bid on the project but ultimately chose LFM because we trusted them and worked well with Tommy. The project went smoothly and Tommy frequently stopped by to check on progress. I really liked the WhatsApp thread used to communicate since it kept everyone on the same page. They also provided an easy to use spreadsheet to help track what we needed to purchase for the project and when we would need it. Tommy was always great to jump in and provide recommendations when we got stuck since this was our first remodel project. Our goal was to open up the room as much as possible since it was originally small and crammed. Tommy and Jose did a great job providing recommendations and confirming what we could and couldn't due with the space. They ended up creating a lot more space by removing a doorway frame, removing unnecessary soffits, and converting the door to a pocket door. The rest of the crew was always friendly and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. They were also easy to work with for any remaining punch list items. We love the final result and the kids are so happy to have a new (pink) bathroom to use. We also ended up adding a few small projects at the end since we had such a good experience with the team. We had them re-insulate our attic, including removal of the old insulation and foam boards. They also demoed a built-in cabinet in our hallway and repaired the wall so we can make the space more usable. Overall the LFM team was great to work with and we'll reach out again for our next project!

Horrible company and a very disappointing experience. We hired this company based on the positive…read morereviews, expecting professional and honest work. The contract was to insulate and drywall our detached garage, including R-30 wall and attic insulation, which we paid for in full. Unfortunately, their subcontractor installed R-15 insulation in the walls instead of the agreed-upon R-30. The attic was also only partially insulated. Because the attic was difficult to access, I asked the company to provide pictures showing the completed insulation. They sent me photos claiming to show our attic, but the pictures were actually of someone else's attic. I did not discover this until later, when an HVAC company was working in our attic and showed me pictures confirming that the insulation was only partially installed. This was not simply poor workmanship--it was misleading and dishonest. We paid for work that was not completed according to the contract, and we were given pictures that did not even show our property. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be extremely careful and verify the work yourself before making any final payment.
