Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

My experience with this company was disappointing. Before hiring, I recommend asking to speak with…read moreprior clients and reviewing completed projects similar to the scope of work you are considering. The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

Koren was super pleasant to work with all around. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. A lot of a great ideas during the initial meeting, for how to keep our project within budget, and where it was worth splurging or dialing back. We had requested a bid on two main projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were shocked by how much of the "bonus" projects we could fit in, and yet felt very confident with Koren's insights that these were realistically within our budget. The formal quote came in REALLY fast after our meeting, and was very easy to follow and extremely fairly priced. Was very impressed with how quickly they were ready to begin the work, and the forethought of asking us if we planned to "live-in" during the remodel vs. get an AirBNB or the like. We hadn't even thought of that. Would have been very confident in moving forward with ATX Remodeling. Especially as Koren had so many examples of the type of elaborate communication and oversight we would have at every stage of the process.

Michelle came out and gave a very thorough quote. She was fantastic. Answered all my questions, left me feeling confident that they knew what they were doing and could not only fix all the problems the previous contractor had caused but also go above and beyond to do all the things we had hoped we'd get originally. She worked with me on every little detail and gave great advice throughout. Michelle knows what she is doing and got me a quote that was crystal clear and very reasonable. Daniel ran the job and was fantastic as well. He had great insights, let me nag him about every possible question I could come up with, was flexible if I had any changes of heart about this or that, extremely easy to work with. All of his subs were top notch, which I can say as a business owner in the construction field myself is extremely rare. Plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile work, all were fantastic. He's surrounded himself with great people that get the job done right the first time. They didn't bat an eyelash at the art deco tile or the smart valves or any other unusual items I sent their way, they knocked it out with ease. And lastly Koren worked with me on any project details/paperwork that I needed. Was very responsive to everything I brought to him as I looked for assurances that I wouldn't have the same experience I had with the last folks. A very easy to work with company all around. I will be using these guys for future projects because the price is right, the quality is fantastic, and most importantly were willing to entertain any weird ideas I had. Your home is one of those things that has to be just right for you, and they made sure the bathroom remodel turned out just right for me. Would recommend them to anybody, and I'm a picky OCD guy, so that's saying something. Thanks again, ATX Remodeling!

My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Thank you for your help. You people did a good job.

I got frustrated and started a project on Yelp, TX 5J handyman responded very fast to my inquiry and came on the same day to give me estimate. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

NOW KNOWN AS COUNTRY CASTLE HOME & REMODELING…read more Builder was to entirely rebuild our house after a fire that was caused by a lightning strike on Friday, 14 June 2013. Things started out great at first, we had a good working relationship, things were running fairly smoothly, but when it came to finishing the last items on the punch list, things have grinded to a screeching halt. We were able to move in on 28 February 2014 with the understanding that Country Castle would complete the remaining items on the punch list in addition to finishing several major projects inside. To this day, I have yet to get them to complete every item on the punch list, in addition they have not done the finishing work on my fireplace or staircase and many other items, and not exactly sure when that might even be. He said he'd do them but not until he is paid the additional $2,800 we supposedly owe in change orders. Although contractor says we owe the ADDITIONAL $2,800 in change orders, I am withholding the last of the money owed, but the money does not even seem to be a motivating factor. Although we had not paid at first because we did not have anymore insurance money, it has now come down to the principle of the thing that I don't want to pay until ALL of the work is done, and he does not want to do anymore work until he is paid. We are at a stalemate. If I don't withhold the money, then I don't have any leverage whatsoever. Let's just say that although this is my neighbor and I thought by giving him the job, he'd get the job done in a timely manner, but alas I was wrong. Things started out great, but have soured over the entire project which started back in June 2013 and to this date, the project is still NOT complete. Needless to say my husband and I very frustrated. We made a lot of concessions on the design of the house, we always gave them the insurance money upfront without holding any back, and we were amenable to many oversights. If I had known back then what I know now, I would have probably hired somebody different. Although the actual construction is solid and very well-built, the timeliness in completing the project leaves a LOT to be desired. So my recommendation is this: If you want a solidly built house with very good construction, then by all means hire them. But, if you get easily frustrated by deadlines not being met, don't like having surprises dumped on you, and don't like to make concessions, then don't hire them.
