I like that they are usually open certain holidays when other Liq's aren't. They have what we like to drink, prices are a tad higher than some others but not really an issue. Better to have the stock when needed. I haven't had an issue with anyone there any of the dozens of times picking up my alchy.. parking is easy, quick in and out every time. Honestly being around a lot of "hood" packies growing up, never really saw any attitude problems, haha mild if you ask me but then again that's just my experience. Been going to Hancock liquor because it's convenient and offers soju (Kam Man offers it too). I would've continued shopping here but unfortunately I'm tired of the terrible service with the tall, skinny tanned guy with glasses. - I was excited to come in one day and see new owners and thought the guy was gone. Apparently he is still around, still rude and hates his job. No hello,No Thank You, slams the register,grabs the plastic bag with attitude, grabs my money with attitude and crosses his arm like a kid having a fit after check out. Guy, I'm not sure what I did wrong by saying hello but I wish you the best. I won't be coming here again bc. of your attitude. Good luck to the new owners, the store is looking good! read more

I have been going to this store for years... Not the most friendliest place to go. Then new owners took over! Now I love this place!!! You get a smile as soon as you walk through the door. And it's not a fake smile, you can feel the warmth right when you walk in. Now ... The store itself is probably the cleanest I've seen! If your a wine person there's a plethora of choices. Beer selection is outstanding, same for the liquor. I've been in this business for years. You can tell how good an establishment is by theses simple things... The customer service, the product it self , and the environment... Have you ever gone to a liquor store and have seen dust on the bottles?.... Not here, that why this is my favorite! I pulled up to park and there was a huge truck in the emergency lane, blocking the actual parking spots up front. After pulling a 10 point turn to park I went in the store. The owner of the truck was talking to the clerk, who went outside with him and continued the conversation instead of helping me. I thought maybe someone else was working and said out loud, hello? Another woman came and and told me "she'll be right in." Another 2 mins went by and a different woman came in to check me out. Meanwhile, her sister, I found out after, got in my face, threatened me, and we exchanged words. I told her, if you lay one finger on me, I will call the police. Her response, "you would do that." Of course I would, what single woman being threatened while out running an errand wouldn't! Finally got checked out as the sister stood threatenly holding the door open as if she was going to push me out. I will never go back there, even if they were the last store open on earth... good luck to ya'll. read more

Although not the biggest of liquor stores the prices were definitely cheaper than they would have been had you gone to Blanchards for a bottle of rum. I didn't have an issue getting around the store in 25 min since there's no more than 8 aisles altogether. Wish there was a bigger selection, but all the classic bottles appeared to be sold here. read more

Save your time and go to Atlas Liquors instead. This place advertises that it has a great selection of craft beers. Sam Adam doesn't count. I will admit, their prices are good, but the two guys working in the store are extremely rude. I grew up in South Boston so I know ignorance. Don't go to this place. The new owner was very rude to me. He sounded annoyed when I asked him a question. On top of that, there was an incident where my friend had parked in the liquor store spot to run inside the dominos next door really quick. 2 minutes later he comes out to find his car on a tow truck. This new owner is an A**hole compared to the old one. read more

Went by the store 5 days ago on my way to Domino's next door. This place has an awesome selection of bourbon and scotch. Some of them I couldn't find ANYWHERE else. They even have Chinese baiju and Indian beer and liquors as well. Asked the clerk if he could help me source a bottle of Highwest Bourye, and boom, got a call yesterday to come pick up if i still want it. Hellz yeah I do! Got to love the service! You know why I love Quincy Liquor ? Because every year they come through with a keg of Pumpkinhead for our Halloween party. And Mr. Michelle B can't have Halloween without Pumpkinhead! And please don't judge us for having a kegerator; we're grown-ups, I swear! We own a house! Beyond the Pumpkinhead, they have a great beer selection and a fairly good hard cider selection as well. Usually you end up having three cider selections - Magners, Original Sin and Woodchuck, but Liquor Land has quite a selection, including some small batch stuff that is a little higher in price but infinitely better than the sugar laden Magners. For the rest of it, pretty standard booze selection. They have some specials every once in awhile and they do tastings fairly often. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. There are much better liquor stores than this one in Quincy; Supreme, Hancock, Gypsy Kitchen for Wine. Their prices are a little bit more expensive and there isn't one person in here who can help you with issues. read more

I made the mistake of deciding to park outside this store while running my errands in the shopping center this afternoon. Hancock Liquors has some parking set aside for customers only and I assumed that because one of my errands was picking up liquor for a party that I am throwing this evening, parking in one of their allotted spaces would be acceptable. How wrong I was! Upon returning to my car from my first errand, in another store, to drop off my bags before going into Hancock Liquors, I discovered that someone had stuck bright pink packing labels on my driver side window and windshield. I began to peal them off when the clerk from Hancock Liquors began rushing at me yelling. I asked him to calm down but he came very close to me and screamed that next time I decided to park there that he would slash my tires. I began trying to explain to the man that I was going to go into his store but he refused to listen to a word that I was saying and told me that if I didn't leave immediately that he was going to have my car towed. I left without another word. I will never go back to this liquor store because of the way that this man treated me today, I hope that anyone reading this post will not give them your business either. When working in a consumer based industry, I would hope that someone would know that screaming at potential customers is not the say to get money from them, but incase no one ever told that simple lesson to the man that screamed at me today, I am posting it here so that he can hear it from me. read more
