Before walking out door the lady at front desk tells us one last thing before you go, its $10 per person or $20 total for couples massage in same room. I should have just walked out. The best massage I've ever had! Jizelle is a literal QUEEN, goddess, magician with her hands. I suffer from headaches and migraines and I came in with a bad headache and left without one. But I trusted her recommendation to see Saripah, and I'm so glad I did. From my first session, Saripah has been wonderful -- sweet, approachable, and incredibly skilled. She takes the time to focus on my specific and targeted needs, and her work has really helped me continue to heal and manage an injury. Front Desk staff is hit or miss. Same with the therapists. My first 2 therapists were not that great, one was kind of new, and one was clearly a veteran and just there for the upsell. My facial was actually pretty good though too! But I have finally found my girl there! Cheryl is the best! Im a small girl with a huge back problem but she just gets in there and works it out! I love my sessions with there with her I have a membership now and I look forward to this every month. By the way the membership there is definitely the way to go! (and the only way to get a decent price). If you pay full price, and get someone that's not good, im sad for you. Front desk service is poor. Services are overpriced. High turnover of masseuses. Difficult to cancel the membership. The staff are not knowledgeable about products or policies and they are rude. For example, they double booked my slot and simply turned me away. They misquoted pricing to get me to book, then once the service was completed suddenly the price had increased. Several times they charged for 'ad ons' without being clear up front that these were add ons and not part of the service I had already selected. Most notably I felt like the masseuses would try round about ways to get me to ask for more pressure so they can add the 'deep tissue' up charge. It got so bad I would have to painstakingly ask at every turn during the services if this or that would be an extra charge which is anything but relaxing! Multiple masseuses were trying to get me to work with them directly during my massage, giving me their business cards and sharing their private rates, which was awkward. I had to complete and submit printed documents and have a phone call with management to cancel my membership without - you guessed it - paying another add on fee for cancelling. I was underwhelmed with the results from my facials and feel like I can get similar results with my products at home. The gal was pushing their skin care products so hard it felt like a high pressure sales pitch. I have found several other places within a 5 mile radius that offer comparable services at more competitive prices without the rude desk staff, red tape, high pressure, and fee fear. After 3 years of membership here, I get the vibe the corporate leaders pressure the employees to find ways to squeeze extra fees out of people and push their product. You can tell by the way the employees all word things certain ways and use certain buzz words, it feels forced. Leadership seems so concerned about up charging they miss the big picture of the value of a loyal, repeat customer. The staff is not properly trained on policies and pricing. The nuances of their membership rules are not transparent and can be very confusing. Overall the experience continually declined through the years. read more

Amazing staff and great location. Scheduling was super easy and again the staff is very knowledgeable and very nice. They offer packages which are really reasonably priced and and it's easy to sign up for any of their facial or spa packages. The spa was very clean, neat and they had products to sell if you wanted to buy. The rooms quite amazing, very relaxing atmosphere. My therapist Sia was absolutely awesome, great pressure and actually listened to my concerns and focused on those areas. I've been to other spa chains, and some of their therapists were very pushy and tried to sell product and try to push off their health information and ideas, and it was kind of a turn off. I first came here because their new client special was very well priced and they had availability every day. My first visit turned into a monthly membership where i can get either a massage or facial once a month. The membership comes with perks & it's really nice to know i always have a massage on my account for the days when im aching and don't want to do the research for a spot to book. The girls at the counter are so nice and helpful. They make the check in process swift and relaxing. I loved my facial with Christina and will be booking with her for future appointments. I am an athlete & strength train 4-5 days per week so i have strong muscles and sometimes it's difficult to find a therapist who can really "dig in". I always add the deep tissue upgrade (for $10) and my favorite girl is Jackie! She is strong, precise, and though it can hurt in the moment, i literally feel like I'm floating on clouds days after. Ambiance was nice but that only gets you so far. My wife and I scheduled a couples massage at this location with no additional add-ons. While my massage was merely okay, perhaps a 5 out of 10. My wife's message on the other hand was completely abysmal, she said a 1 out of 10. She described her massage as being asymmetrical, an unnecessary amount of pain, and a complete disregard for her privacy. I've been coming to this location for over a year with my membership and yesterday I received the worst customer service of my life. I frequently see Mitch because I like his services. However, yesterday he closed the door and proceeded to demand that I tip 20% on any services, and if not, he recommend I cancel the appointment. He aggressively asked if I knew what 20% was and demanded I tell him. I reassured him that I knew how to calculate and that I use my membership credits. After this hostile and aggressive conversation, I felt uncomfortable and asked if I should cancel and he said yes unless I tip him the required 20%. I confirmed with reception that 20% is not required in the membership contract nor is it company policy. I believe there is a proper way to approach every conversation and Mitch's approach was far from professionalism. Also, the fact that he closed the door so that no one could hear our conversation was also not lost upon me. But, unbeknownst to him, I had been on FaceTime with my sister the entire time and had not hung up yet and she also heard the entire conversation and will be cancelling her membership as well. LOUISE WAS MY MASSAGE GURU. I am in constant pain. I went in on a whim. I had a gift certificate from my boss and decided to finally get in and book an appointment. I can't say enough about the service and knowledge behind the massage I received. I was able to get off the table without help and that never happens. I am grateful for this location and its staff. Even on busy days, the gals at the run it smoothly. My massage therapist of 2 years is Darcy. Her work is detailed, and she thoroughly listens even from a therapeutic standpoint. The toughest part is trying to get in with Darcy because she is booked out 2 months. My first appointment was back on August 13, 2023 for a massage which I really enjoyed and desperately needed. I never purchase memberships because I feel guilty about spending the money on myself, but this time, I said screw it, I deserve it. Later, the guilt hit and I kept telling myself to cancel the membership, especially after having knee replacement surgery in October and not getting in for another massage. In January 2024, after months of physical therapy and receiving a green light from the doctor, I scheduled an appointment for another massage. This time, it was with Sarah Anne. When I arrived for the appointment, I explained to her what I had been through. Since June, I had two knee surgeries, one being a knee replacement, and I was in a lot of pain. I had been compensating not having the full use of one leg for a very long time; even way before the surgeries. She listened to all of the "fun" stuff I had been through with trying to get back on two feet, a very long journey. Throughout the massage, she checked to make sure the pressure was ok, made sure that I was comfortable, and my knee was in a position that would not cause any pain and was very patient when it came time to shift from front to back. That was an endeavor! After the massage, I felt so much better and was extremely comforted in how she took care of me. When I went back for the next massage, oh yes, there was another one. I asked her if she remembered me. She said, "of course, I remember you." So sweet! Needless to say, I have NOT cancelled my membership. I was right, I do deserve this. When I schedule my appointments, I make them with Sarah Anne every time. Each time she checks on the progress of my recovery, where my trouble spots are, and how I'm doing overall. She doesn't try to hard sell additional services. Her main goal is to make sure I leave feeling good. She doesn't just help me physically, but she also helps calm me by relaxing me and freeing me from stress. When I leave I give her a big hug, I have since day one. She enjoys what she does and cares about her clients, it's a sign of a good masseuse. I want to be selfish and not tell anyone about her, because she may not be available if she becomes popular, but she deserves the praise. If you want a good masseuse, Sarah Anne is the person to see. read more

To the business owner David Beser: I understand you've been made aware of an unfortunate scenario at the Hand & Stone Huntington Beach location, where a necklace was removed from my neck by an esthetician during a facial, when I had facial coverings over my eyes. As you know, the esthetician did not tell me this was happening, nor did she tell me where the necklace was being placed during the facial. This was a 7pm - 8pm facial on the night of June 26th. Immediately when I noticed my necklace was missing, I called and showed up at the spa to retrieve it. However, the staff informed me that the necklace had since been "lost". I have been communicating back and forth with your GM Briannah. I understand your decision was made that deemed "H&S is not responsible for lost personal items". However - this necklace was indeed not "lost". It was taken from my possession during a facial while I was in a compromised position with coverings over my eyes. I understand you're a busy guy and that this scenario (and me as a H&S client, loyal for many years I may add) may be just a "number" to you. I'm guessing this is easy for you to dismiss from afar, as I imagine you may be removed from daily operations and the 'front lines' of client facing services. I understand your policy of not being responsible for lost personal items, however this situation is simply just wrong, as this necklace was not 'lost' and was taken off my neck. I feel 100% robbed. This necklace was one of the most meaningful items I have ever owned. I know you have been made aware of these details already, and you have a link to where the necklace was purchased, along with several photos of it. The necklace was taken from me, I did not simply 'leave it behind' by my own mistake. This is not my fault, this is not your fault. I am a very patient, understanding person, and understand that accidents can happen. However, I am now feeling robbed and a victim of these circumstances. I would have NEVER booked a facial that day if I knew I would've left the spa without my necklace. I have since been devastated. If this happened to your friend or family member, I imagine you would agree with them, that not receiving any type of reimbursement for their necklace being taken is simply just wrong.
