Raudel was phenomenal. Out of the countless massages I've received over the years, his was one of the best. He completely exceeded my expectations. If you like a strong, intuitive touch, he's your therapist. The spa itself was lovely, too. They offer a heated neck wrap while you wait, and it immediately sets the tone for relaxation. The entire atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and welcoming. This was my first visit to Hand & Stone, and it definitely won't be my last. My husband had Aimee and absolutely raved about her as well. I pre-paid $350 for a 3-month membership which includes 1 basic massage or facial each month, whereas the membership rate for each of those services is just $80. Canceling our monthly membership with HAND & STONE because I was told my four-year-old daughter was not allowed to sit in her wagon on her headphones with an iPad quietly while we received our couples massages and that it was corporate company policy because it could make the therapist UNCOMFORTABLE !! What the F$@# kind of massages are they giving??? Last I knew both her father and I would be laying face down on our own beds covered completely with sheet and blanket getting a traditional massage! ‍ I just want to know what would make a therapist uncomfortable... given our child sits quietly for 60 minutes on her iPad (bc she rarely gets it and would love the opportunity of watch Bingo and Rolly for an hour straight!) Although they (the Boynton Office) have allowed us both to enjoy couple massages (while our daughter sits quietly in her wagon at the foot of the beds) for the past 3 to 4 months without any problems at all... in fact, they literally sold us the monthly membership knowing that we had her with us and would be bringing her back with us regularly. Amber, the acting imbecile (manager), explained that "Amy," the massage therapist told her she felt uncomfortable with a minor in the room, and she said they are allowed to revoke the services if we try to bring our child with us. Amber was very hostile and not at all like the very nice blonde lady that originally signed us up. In fact, she called me back within 1 minute after making the booking to tell us the therapist, AMY, didn't want a child in the room, within seconds of our convo, not even enough time to, hang up, go back in the room and have a conversation with a therapist (i don't believe she even asked her). We are not only sick to our stomachs about this turn of event and the way she so rudely handled our situation in front of our daughter making not only us feel incredibly uncomfortable but also making our daughter feel unwanted and other customers in the waiting room extremely distressed... not great business practice for the front of a "relaxation" center, I might add. So we are no longer a member of hand and stone, and we will get our reimbursements of $320. We will gladly return to our old therapists (unfortunately Debbie and Jack have moved away) or find new ones that will come to our home and not harass us nor make anyone feel dejected or uncomfortable. According to Amber, the policy is set one way but apparently other employees just bend the rules; only Amber would stick to whatever crazy rule she deemed worthy. And to be honest, I don't think she even spoke to the therapist "Amy"... I think she just didn't like the fact that I suggested we "ask the therapist if she feels uncomfortable..." I believe she was trying to deflect the blame for the reason why we couldn't bring Chanel with us on a therapist... so she didn't look like that asshole whom was denying a child and loosing two regularly paying customer. Well Amber, I can see right through you... you are still the ass. So feel free to keep your power struggle and your throne and you can just loose our membership. I am a member here at hand and stone and every time I come no matter what location, service, masseuse, or esthetician the experience has always been amazing, today not so much. My esthetician was very sweet and polite but her being a novice definitely showed. Every esthetician that I have had will wash there hands before starting on your face, she did not. I asked her to please avoid my eyes and lashes but, she would keep wiping her product covered hands over my eyes and lashes anyway. When placing creams and products on my face it wasn't thorough and it didnt cover the entirety of my face. When doing extractions I had to quickly reposition my head because her hand was pressing down and applying pressure onto my right eye. When removing product from my face she took the towel directly from the towel warmer and put it on my face which was so hot I jumped, only then she shook the towel to cool it down a bit. This was the first time during my hand and stone membership that I was not relaxed, I was tense and was looking forward for it to be over. Again I want to emphasize that she was nice and professional and I believe with more time and experience she will one day be an amazing esthetician, but she is definitely not there yet. read more

No! Have to pay another month then cancel - absolutely not what front. desk told me. And told me I had already scheduled Aug 29th for another. Not true as I will be out of town then do not fall for a special to get your cr card on file thinking you can cancel Just an FYI in case anyone is thinking of going. Went to get a basic facial and paid extra for the hydrating facial and for the Nuface device (btw don't pay extra for the nuface it does not work) The lady who did my facial said I had whiteheads on my forehead. I personally have never noticed whiteheads on my forehead, but I just took her word for it because she's the professional not me. She was trying to extract the "whiteheads" but was having difficulty getting them out so she went harder. I have a high pain tolerance so I didn't realize just how hard she was going in on my skin. I left with my forehead extremely red. Next day my skin was turning purple and was sore. I had to avoid lifting my eyebrows because my forehead was so sore. Then my skin started to scab and I could no longer cover up my marks with makeup. Then my skin peeled off. My skin is currently healing but you can still notice the dark marks on my forehead. I was so upset that I called and asked for a refund. I paid extra money for a HYDRATING facial because I have dry skin. Why did I leave the spa looking like someone beat me up and won?! The associate I spoke to said the manager was not currently in and she would have the manager get back to me. No one has reached out to me at all which is diabolical. Avoid this establishment it's unprofessional. The technician that did my facial should have known that if a whitehead/blackhead/etc. is refusing to come out then it's probably not ready yet. Terrible location. This is the 3rd time they have messed up my appointment. Twice it was a mix up with last name. Today is my birthday and my massage was cancelled instead of moving the time, they cancelled the appointment and no one cares. Terrible feeling and I can't even speak to a manager until tomorrow. 4 stars for the wonderful massage therapist and esthetician whom I've been using at Hand and Stone. First the massage. Therapist John is by far the best therapist I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He listens! And it seems that magically, whatever ailed me in the initial conversation (he asks what in particular is your issue before he begins) is vanished by the time I get up off the table in pure bliss. He legit found a knot in my neck, worked it out and I am in total comfort now. (I'm writing a week after my last appointment). He is also super kind, easy to talk to and 100% professional in every way. I can't say enough about how pleased I am w his work. Now for the facial, Megan is the BEST! She offers several different types of facials but I love the one where she literally suctions the congestion out of the pores (i think it's called diamond glow) or something like that. It is so good. My face glows and is so hydrated by the end of it and it lasts days. She is also super sweet, friendly and vivacious. I might add that both these therapists are super keen to the vibe you are giving. Meaning they somehow know if you want to chat or just enjoy getting your pampering in silence. Either way, it's beyond relaxing and such a lovely gift to yourself to be indulged by such professionalism. I left off a star for the front desk as they can be a bit less accommodating/friendly. I feel like they nickel and dime every client. I've seen it in action. I understand it's a business but I'll decide if and how I want to spend my money and time thank you. My membership is over now and I'm not sure I want to commit to the monthly fees (which are a bit higher than others) but I will book individual sessions when I need John or Megan to work their magic ! read more

I had an appt. As a first time client on 11/22/23 for 9 a.m. and to my dismay my technician never showed up After 20 minutes I was told that the technician was running late, stuck in traffic. Regardless of what ever excuse she had for being irresponsible (oops I mean"stuck in traffic" this is unexceptable. Customer service was not even a concern to them as they did not even sit with me to discuss other services offered. They did offer to comp me or have me reschedule for another time, but too little to late. I wanted to leave as They had already wasted my time with their lack of professionalism. Not sure why this location isn't on Yelp? I don't think it's new in the area? Anyways I found the location very clean and staff was overall very nice. I had a gift card so was lucky enough to try out the Himalayan salt massage for an hour for free. Check in process was easy for a Friday morning as well. I was escorted to the back and was surprised that the masseur was a male, I've had over 20+ massage in my life and never had a male so figured I'd give it a go. Sadly wasn't impressed :( not only did I not feel like he really got my whole back (due to strict guidelines apparently?) I didn't ask for my glutes but I told him my lower back/sciatica on my left was bad and he wasn't really able to help that area? What the heck. He also wasn't knowledgeable about the Himalayan salt or the CBD oil that was an add on? I have no idea what any of this even did and neither did he. Horrible experience. I left more stressed than before I arrived. Large LA fitness next door. Heard weights being dropped on the floor the entire time of my massage. It was such a beneficial and positive event, and has really made a difference in what packages I will be purchasing in the future. Even though it was an open house type event, there was a lot of one-on-one knowledge shared and personal experiences enjoyed by everyone there. Most mediocre massages and facials I've ever gotten. One masseuse spent waayyy too much time fiddling with the sheets for "modesty" it seemed. Massage was just ehh. Tried another masseuse who had no system to her massage. Did one thing on one side and another thing on the other side. I paid for a deep tissue add-on. She clearly has never given or had a deep tissue massage. The facial was whatever. Skin didn't feel refreshed or smoother or brighter. I've tried. I really have. I visited Hand and Stone twice in the past year. The first time, I had a great massage and paid the introductory price of 69.00. However the girl gave me a 45 min massage that should have been 50 min. I didn't say anything because the massage was good and I intended to go back. Almost one year later, I decided to go back. I called to get a price, the girl I spoke to said it was 119 but she would honor a 69$ introductory price being I hadn't been there in a year. I also mentioned the fact that the last massage was only 45 min, she confirmed that it should of been 50 mins and that she would make a note to make sure that it would be. Went to the appt and not only was the massage mediocre, it again was only 45 mins, and it was with the same girl. Went to pay and the girl at the desk tried charging me full price. I explained to here the whole conversation I had with the girl that made my appointment, about price and the time frame. She gave me a hard time and blamed it on their call center that takes their appointments sometimes. She also said nothing to me about the short appointment time. I will not be going back there again. I've been in this business as a hairdresser and have had many massages. I know how it works. The client is entitled to 50 min, not 45. Also very unprofessional as to how they handle the whole matter. I will be calling the manager tomorrow because she was not there today. Hopefully she will handle this in a professional manner. read more
