One of the worst ortho doctor I have ever visited, In and out is all I can say, gave me a shot and told me I had trigger finger. I was in just as much pain week after the visit as I was before my visit. Got an second opinion, they did an MRI and I had swelling and inflammation all in my hands and they sent me to a Rheumatologist. Stay away from this California Doctor who is now in Texas, he is more worried about getting to the next patient instead of genuinely listening and wanting help you the patient out of pain. read more

I visited on May 27 for an animal bite and was charged $167.86 for my deductible. Two weeks later, I got my EOB for the claim from my insurance company, which stated that I was responsible for $146.49 for that visit, meaning that I was owed $21.37. I called their billing department and the person I spoke to confirmed this. They said they could either request a check or that the credit could be applied to a future visit. I chose the latter since I had a follow-up scheduled. I went to my follow-up appointment today and the front desk told me I owed $113.16. I asked if that included a credit and the girl at the front desk told me there wasn't a credit. I explained the situation multiple times, showing her the EOB summary and the credit card charge from my phone. After some back and forth, she and another girl said that I had to pay the full $113 or reschedule and they would not honor the credit, saying that their "higher-ups" had told them this. I called the billing department later and spoke to the same person as before, who told me that they should have honored this credit. I should not have had to pay more than what I owed. I will for my insurance to process the claim for today's visit and will call the billing department afterwards to discuss how to move forward, being that I don't have any more visits, but this could have been avoided if they had just honored the credit. read more

First time here at this clinic and was see by Dr.John Knight. First thing I received after I made my appointment was my new pt paperwork via email. When I arrived for my appointment I was welcomed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I did not have a long wait time but my appointment was at 9AM. The first thing they did was a x-ray (of my wrist) and then I saw the doctor. Dr.Knight was very nice,professional, and knowledgeable about what was being talked about durring the appointment. You must decide if you wish to enter a lobby with patients packed in their small [Dallas] lobby. I chose to leave as there was, also, confusion re my paperwork. Dr. Knight is very friendly & knowledgeable when you meet with him. He is informative about the issue and resolution for your problem, but office visits with him do seem rushed. I think the average time meeting with Dr. Knight was less than 2 minutes (no exaggeration). The office staff is friendly, but also seem very rushed, and the environment is quite disorganized and downright chaotic at times from what I've witnessed. My first visit was to the Beverly Hills office, on a Saturday morning at 8am. When I got there, it was a ghost town and the doors to the building were locked. I waited out front with a few other confused patients and finally called to find out that the building manager was "on the way" to unlock the doors. Other than that, this visit was decent. My first visit to the West hills office was frustrating because the address listed on Google that pops up in searches first is incorrect. It would be helpful if staff told patients when making the appointment for the West Hills location that they use a shared office, and actually give them name of the other group in suite 100 that matches what is on the door. I spent a while at the wrong building (the one listed on google) and then also couldn't find the correct office once I got the right address because their very small sign had fallen off the door to the suite they were utilizing. I have been VERY frustrated MULTIPLE times when calling the main Beverly Hills office number also, because of sometimes up to 40 minute hold times (and an average hold of easily 10-20 minutes)! This really should be addressed right away. It's great that you are that busy, but please hire additional staff to cover the phones and questions patients may have. Overall, I would go back because I trust Dr. Knight, but the organization and office issues really need to be addressed in a proactive way. read more

This place is a well-oiled scam. They don't really have their own facility, it's operated out of some other sports medicine clinic, so that's sketchy in the first place. Second, the doctor orders x-rays without even seeing the patient or hearing the complaint! I knew I had a soft-tissue injury and basically went in for a (required) referral to physical therapy, but they insisted on doing an x-ray before I could see the doctor. Of course the x-ray showed nothing but cost me $$$. They are also sort of weirdly insistent about how they work with insurance. They do take health insurance but they refuse to work with auto insurance. That was fine with me; although I was injured in a car accident, I told them I would pay for my own visit. I told the receptionist this on the phone. Then I had to repeat it to the lady who checked me in (by the way, even though they take all your info over the phone, when you get there you have to fill out a five-page form that repeats all the same info!). I told the nurse who inquired. Then the doctor also got into it with me! He was actually quite nasty about it and almost accused me of fraud (wild!) for not going through my auto insurance company but instead paying out of my own pocket -- even though he refuses to work with auto insurance companies! Obviously he just wants to get paid and since I already paid, I don't really understand what his problem was, but whatever. I will not be returning here for my followup care. * ADDED: Nice response where he ignored the parts of my review that he couldn't rebut, and lied about the rest. Whatever, dude. I'm sure you're making enough money anyway. Don't be fooled by his slick website, Yelpers. Check out the attitude in his response to me and other Yelpers who say anything even slightly negative, and then decide whether you want to deal with this gaslighter. read more

I saw Dr Knight for over a four year period in California via workers compensation (which by the way, that system is total crap in California, you're better off using your private insurance to get the care you need in a timely fashion). He had "thee" world's greatest office assistant, Evelyn . They worked together like "peanut butter and jelly, like Batman and Robin. Unfortunately I was never authorized to get my surgery with Dr Knight but his bedside manner, knowledge, quick wit and professionalism were outstanding. I really miss him. He doesn't waste time with a ton a small talk and gives you everything straight forward and honestly. My type of MD. I highly recommend his services. read more

I am so happy i came to Dr. Knight, i am a avid motocross/golf/hockey/snowboarder Dr. Knight he took his time evaluating my wrist and what other doctors told me i needed surgery he ordered a MRI and called me back in said lets try a cortisone shot first and then we see where we are at. I am happy to report after 6 weeks i have had no pain in my wrist and i am so thankful i got a second opinion. I recently broke a bone while getting for work in the morning. I jammed it and heard a very loud crack and knew it was broken. I didn't have a lot of time to spend at the doctors because I had a very busy day at work ahead of me. There isn't anybody else who can do my job so I really needed immediate treatment and to be back at work as soon as possible... even with a broken bone. I went to Dr. Knight at the Hand and Wrist Institute and I was seen right away! The front end staff was so welcoming and friendly, and the X-Ray technician staff was such a nice guy who made sure to get a clean shot of the bone from different angles to see how extensive the break was. Dr. John Knight took a look at the X-Ray and confirmed it was broken and how intense the break was. I was given proper treatment instructions and I was released very quickly. I visited Dr. Knight for an ongoing pain in one of my hands. The process included five visits before I was given the "all clear" and it was a pleasurable experience. I can honestly state this is the MOST efficient office I have ever experienced in the medical field. If you have an appointment at 8:20, you are in the exam room at 8:20. What a concept! They have a great staff. Dr. Knight is fully engaged with his patients. Had my carpal tunnel release surgery and a ganglion cyst removed. The cyst was embedded in a vein which made the surgery more intense and the recovery longer than usual.....full 3 months. Let's start with the fact that he's handsome, but wait there's more. He has amazing bedside manners! I know right, picture that in this day and age! He's quick but will answer any and all questions and makes sure you are good before he leaves. He's super organized which makes him very efficient. Not to mention they do use the latest technology when reviewing records and X-rays. He LISTENED to me which I must admit was surprising given his knowledge and expertise but then again that's what makes him good. He listens and then adds his knowledge and expertise and not the other way around if you know what I mean. Looking for a hand or wrist surgeon, Dr.John Knight is it! They also provide a list of Occupational Therapists which help with rehabilitation of the hand/wrist, arms, and shoulders area. I had a ganglion cyst taken out of my left wrist surgically per my request. My last appointment was on 7/29/14. I am back to normal, ahead of schedule! I was impressed with my results, I couldn't believe it!! I'm back to work with no pain. The office was clean and very nice. The staff and Dr.Knight were amazing!
