My girlfriend and I were invited to a graduation party takeover of Hand-Brewed Beer in Chatsworth this past weekend and I have to say, this place is fantastic! Located in a nondescript commercial park, HBB delivered on a variety of items, including some outstanding in house-produced beer, seltzer and some delicious homemade pizzas. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Tons of space at the bar, including several high and low-top tables and seating outside. There are several large flat screens showing local sports (Dodgers Baseball), as well as tons of board games, pinball machines and live event activities such as themed nights, live music and comedy. Also featured on this Saturday night was free live BINGO from 7-9pm, which made the event a lot of fun. The Honey Hand Blonde is fantastic! Deliciously smooth and really tasty. Some of the other local crowd favorites are Deez Nuts Brown Ale, Not a Giant Peach, and Eddie's Irish Stout. The in-house beers were great and worth exploring. Angie, the bartender, was so nice and let us try a few samples before ordering. The pizzas are delicious! Hot, fresh, great toppings and crust. A limited food menu, stick with a classic Cheese or Pepperoni, along with a Meat Lovers to enjoy with friends while watching sports or catching live entertainment. The bathrooms are gender neutral and clean compared to most Gastropubs, and there is a ton of free street parking out front. Loved the vibe and the team here, which hosted a great event for our small group. Great for parties, or watching a game, I recommend supporting Hand-Brewed Beer for some great brews and good ol' fashioned fun any night of the week. read more

Admittedly when I came here it wasn't for the actual brewery but a collaboration they were doing with a coupe food vendors (one was smashburgers, another was Filipino desserts) but was nice to finally be able to check this place out since I've heard so much about it. It's tucked away inside chatsworth and there is ample street parking. In the brewery you have outside seating and inside seating and they have a lot of themed nights to bring in people and entertain them beyond serving them an array of delicious beers. The ambiance is fun, casual and a good place to just chill. Also seems to definitely cater to sports fans too if you're looking for a place to watch a game. read more

Came on a Saturday late afternoon. Have not been to Hand Brewed since prior to COVID ! Not by accident. I live nearby, but in the past the beer has been OK at best. Basically wasn't worth it, so we didn't return. Since one of my friends had visited recently and said they have improved much.... We decided to go. Yes, much better. One huge difference, they have a hazy ipa! Will definitely return. They do have a food menu, but I think it's only pizza. I didn't ask if you can bring your own food. I will check and update next time. A big place inside. Wasn't packed and not loud like most breweries. Which is good in my opinion. They were doing bingo , we joined and I won two games. Haha. I don't often go to breweries but we came by on St. Patty's Day to support my cousin's popup (Leonardoughs) and enjoy some drinks, food, and good company. Definitely a hot day for March. Luckily we got a table inside when we got there AND managed to find parking inside their small lot. They also have street parking which is where most people parked later on. Drinks are quick which is great, haven't tried their food since Full Time Burgers had their stand set up so we opted for that to also support them. Loved the cider I got! I don't drink beer so I was happy to see something on their menu that I could drink lol. They have a pinball machine and a nice amount of seating inside, great high top tables as well, perfect for chilling with friends. It got super busy that night, probably for St. Patty's. Came here with my bf and some friends just a great vibe definitely family-friendly. They have a wall full of board games which i did not get a pic of but i was like amazed. I ordered a watermel-matcha spritz it was very interesting but i enjoyed it. It's a soju inspired drink. They also have a few vendors outside, I bought a carrot cake cookie from one vendor. They had a few options from chocolate chip, red velvet, & even rice Krispy treats. There was a Filipino stand with food, and i immediately got in line for the pork lumpia they were absolutely divine. Finally made it up for a visit since they added their pizza kitchen! I've been a long time fan and supporter of Hand-Brewed beer since they established in 2014 and it's amazing to see how far they have come. The timing didn't work out last year to attend the big 10-year anniversary celebration, so we made the effort to leave our San Diego bubble and come for the 11th. A very chill daytime vibe and nice to have a casual time on the patio to catch up with everyone. Firstly, the beer is amazing. I asked for recommendation and La Brocha was stated as a fav (Mexican Lager) and I was not expecting so much flavor! Wow! It's always great to have a lighter beer that is still super flavorful. I highly recommend it. For pizza, I opted for the Prosciugula. I'm a sucker for that style pizza. It leans slightly salty due to the prosciutto - just an FYI. We also gave the vegan pizza a try and its so awesome they have that available (esp for those who can't do dairy). And just to show my love we got 2 other pizzas to go to bring to the family we were staying with that night. Cheese and the Veggie lover. Those were a big hit with the kids and you know kids are the biggest critics, heh. The space for the brewery has it all, outdoor covered patio for the nice days, indoor brewery space with plenty of seating (they do lots of event-specific things like trivia night, sports days, etc). It's just a great local spot for Chatsworth and very community oriented. During the horrific LA fires of Last January, HBB was a donation drop off location in partnership with other local orgs. It was amazing to see the community come together (I follow them on Instagram and saw all the great story updates). Finally, there is a good amount of parking near the entrance as well as on the street, and the neighboring business spots even have signs listing the time of day they can be used for brewery customers outside of their business hours. How cool is that! I don't usually see that and its always uneasy parking in a spot listed for a different business. Really gives assurance. I hope to come back soon...there are still so many great pizzas I didn't get to try yet. read more

I used to like this place, but the people here all know each other and act like huge pricks. Beer is acceptable, but that's really the only thing they have going for them. Just like 818, these places are ruining craft beer for for people outside of their small bubble. Asked some of us to move our cars even though no one was going to the other shops. The parking remained empty last time and this time. Maybe since it's a more populated establishment they should rent out another parking spot. We even car pooled and yet we had problems. One week later and I was disappointed. I ordered the same thing except with pineapple. "Meat Lovers" pizza. I asked for it to go and yet it didn't come out in a box. So I began to eat and share it. My intentions were not to stay. Made it awkward for me to ask for a box to go. By the way the cans of Coca Cola and Sprite are flat. Yes this isn't a place focused on soft drinks but it is on the menu. Last week on 17th of October 2025 at the same time of day with almost the same ppl my pizza was hot to touch. This time on 24th of October 2025 my pizza was warm. It didn't have gooey melted stretched cheese or crispy edges like last time. The flavor was mild and nothing caught my attention. The pizza was greasy and I barely ate it. I also gave some way to my friend/co-worker. He wasn't impressed and all day before we came here I hyped this place up. My friend ordered a hotdog and his bun kept coming apart. His drink wasn't cold like he was use too. The other two people I was with also had some hit and miss problems with their food. One person kept waiting for their hotdog to appear and yet the whole time I was there I never saw it come out. Yes with all that being said this will be my last time I come here. Popped in for the first time the other night and was pleased to find this place. I didn't try any food although from the pictures it appears to be good. The service was very friendly and the spot had an overall nice vibe. They were having bingo night which seemed like fun. I just had a couple beers with a friend and we tried Deez Nuts, Roof Beer IPA, the Sparky Double IPA, and the Topanga Kolsch. None of the options we tried really stood out to either one of us. We both felt the beers were just okay. I was a bit sad there is no true hazy on the menu. I did really like that they had a bingo night going on, and had many board games available for you to use while there. Definitely will be returning to give it another go. read more

Did not have their beer or their food. I came here strictly to volunteer. I found out they were a donation site for the recent fires in LA. I wanted to do my part in helping out in anyway I could. Wow! What a turn out! I quickly realized that a lot of the volunteers and donors were regulars. I could see The brewery itself has built such a generous and giving community. I came here on Sunday after a hike and had a lovely experience. The overall ambiance is peak brewery vibes. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, allowing us to try multiple beers before we ordered. The particular guy who helped us had a great sense for people's tastes because we told him the type of beer we normally like, he suggested 2 options, both of which we tried, and we ended up ordering those. One of the beers was the Isotope IPA and the other was a special that I can't remember the name of. We also split a pepperoni pizza, which was a decent size (we were expecting it to be a personal pizza). The flavor was good and definitely hit the spot after a hike. They only had cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers pizzas available since they had been so busy recently. Otherwise, they appear to have a decently expansive menu. We found out about this place because we have the PintLife passports, which normally allow you to get one beer for 1 penny. Here, they said it would be buy one get one - so we ended up ordering 2 beers each so we could both get our passports stamped. Came here when a friend wanted a drink after a hike. Now I am NOT one for beer, and lord knows other breweries have tried.... but you know what this place is really good! As for beer we ordered Deez Nuts Brown Ale (I'm still dying with the name!! Lol ) the Honey Blonde I believe it was called and The Bridge to nowhere. Very smooth, not at all bitter and didn't taste... "hops like" Again I'm not a beer gal but this was a very pleasant experience. You can taste the love and quality. We ordered the Vegan Vodka Pizza (amazing!!!) one of the only pizzas in the valley that isn't greasy. Everyone was super patient and super sweet! I'll be back for sure! Also love this is a family feel joint and animal friendly. Nothing like sweet puppies while you eat. Super chill, and right from the start we felt welcomed and comfortable. Another one of those hidden places that you stumble upon. A gem that's waiting to be found. We came to meet some friends for drinks and a bite. Of course, with all the great reviews on Yelp, it looked promising. Well, first off. It is in a bit not so pleasant location. The industrial part of Chatsworth I believe. There were encampments and trailers parked along the street which was sketchy. So be advise with that if parking along the street. The pub/restaurant is situated inside a complex so it's not right off the street. There's parking there but certain spots are reserved for other businesses but can be utilized after a certain time. First impression, it looked like a garage turned into a hang out place. There was a covered patio outside. But once inside, it was a cool spot. Hi top tables throughout the place. A bar area, plenty of board games to choose from. They had snacks as well as a menu. Limited item. Believe they catered to pizza, hot dogs and some sandwiches. Plenty of beer to choose from which of course was the whole idea of this place. Service was nice. You order at the country and take your number. It wasn't big but pretty roomy enough. We happened to come on trivial night which was quite fun. It did get really busy as it tended to be regulars. They even had an ice cream truck that showed up outside. We did noticed that there was schedule of all the events that happened each day which all seemed quite fun. Of course will have to make another trip back. Overall, fun night out. 4+ fun little brewery with a nice tasting room that felt a little off the beaten path in the valley. The service was friendly, and the beers were good. Hey buddy, and I wanted to check this place out while we were working up an appetite for dinner. We already had dinner plans, otherwise, we might've checked out one of the pizzas at this place. From the pictures they look pretty tasty. The room itself feels pretty large and open and just a great place to chill. I'm a big brewery fan. I found Hand-Brewed a few months back while planning a brewery tour of the valley with my boyfriend and it has quickly become our favorite place to tell people about. The service, the beer, the food, the seating, the parking, top to bottom, Hand-Brewed is great! Half way through that first trip, we knew we had found the perfect spot for an upcoming birthday celebration. Booking was easy, the prices are great, the quality even more so. When I had to reschedule 3 days before our event due to COVID, they were absolutely wonderful. As far as breweries go, Hand-Brewed has one of the best selection of drinks I've seen. Their brews are high quality, flavorful, and unique. Not only do they also have guest taps, they also carry a variety of wines, ciders, non-alcoholic beverages, seltzers, and soda. Whether you're a casual beer fan, a brewery affecianado, more of a cider person, or not a drinker at all, they absolutely got you covered! Our event was awesome. Hunter, Jacob, and Tom were all incredible. For us, Hand Brewed is well worth the 30 minute drive-if we were closer we'd probably be there every week. Can not suggest them more highly. read more

Came back on a recent Sunday afternoon and they really missed the mark today. Place was pretty crowded with people ordering food and drinks -- but they only had ONE BARTENDER who also was the food order taker, waiter, busboy, etc. This is clearly the fault of management as we waited a LONG TIME for our beers. Guy tried to do his best but he was constantly running back and forth between the kitchen, outside patio, and dealing with the MANY children that were there. In fact, the outside patio was TOTALLY TAKEN by a kids birthday party. AT A BREWERY! Never seen anything like that before as we come here to get away from screaming kids. Three of them were even sitting at the bar with their parents before the bartender told them that wasn't allowed. After about a half hour, the bartender screamed out to everyone in ear shot that "The Pizza Oven is F#$%-ed!" (meaning no food came out of the kitchen while we were there). Last time I came here was in 2022 and there was no pizza that day either). We left early and ordered take-out pizza from a nearby ghost kitchen and ate it at home in peace and quiet. Will not come back again unless management properly staff the place on busy weekends. read more

Right through the door we were greeted with a smile and welcoming atmosphere. There is a really good selection of beers to choose from. Tucked inside the Valley, this is a comparable alternative to 818 Brewery. It's also not too far away from 818, as well. Hand-Brewed Beer has events on-site with food trucks and small local businesses, which is how I had the opportunity to visit. I actually came on 818 Day on 8/18, and Hand-Brewed Beer had a Birria taco truck on-site along with a number of local vendors. Love the options and pricing here. Some games available. Good for groups and dates. I parked in the neighborhood area. It was pretty busy when I went, so I expected to walk. read more
