I'm genuinely disappointed to be writing this review because I previously trusted this company after having a great experience with my first vehicle. When I purchased a new car, I immediately came back for a full front PPF and ceramic coating package. I was quoted a 2-day turnaround and promised regular updates, but communication quickly became inconsistent. After multiple delays, excuses, and missed deadlines, responsibility for my vehicle was passed between employees without clear communication. I was eventually offered a complimentary full-body PPF for the inconvenience, but despite agreeing on several deadlines, the work was never completed. One employee completely stopped responding to my calls and texts, and I later found out he was no longer with the company without my knowledge. At this point, my vehicle still does not have the promised PPF installed, the interior ceramic coating was never done, and the exterior ceramic coating wasn't even completed properly. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism throughout this process has completely destroyed my trust in the company. I'm honestly at a loss for words. UPDATE: Danny eventually got back in contact with me and finally completed the PPF work on my vehicle. Unfortunately, the quality of the install was terrible. I brought the car to multiple reputable PPF shops for inspection and received the same feedback from every single one. Several shops told me it was one of the worst PPF installations they had seen. They also pointed out that my clear coat is now lifting, and warned me that removing the PPF from my bumper will very likely peel the paint completely off, meaning I may now need to have my bumper repainted. After everything I went through with the delays, broken promises, lack of communication, and being completely ghosted, I'm now potentially dealing with paint damage caused by the improper installation itself. I have completely lost trust in this company and am extremely disappointed with how this entire situation was handled. I asked for a refund and he is purposely ignoring my messages, I don't think he realizes that I can see when he reads my messages. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS COMPANY PLEASE!!! read more

Their workmanship and attention to detail is simply unsurpassed; I just haven't been able to find anywhere else to match their fairly priced packaging for their detailing services, furthermore, the after wash/ polish SHINE. I had a Clay Wax Polish (clay bar included) done back in 2024 on the Subie, the shine result seriously next level. Danny was super personable and careful upon meet and greet and pickup. They even performed a complimentary interior vacuum and quick wipe down. The girl was super clean and feeling so well loved. Absolutely terrible experience. I trusted this shop with my vehicle for PPF work and deeply regret it. Not only was I unhappy with the quality of the installation, but my vehicle was returned with scratches that were not there before. Seeing damage on a car you've worked hard for is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're paying for a service that's supposed to protect it. The customer service made the situation even worse. Instead of taking ownership and making things right, I felt like I was given the runaround whenever I tried to address my concerns. Communication was poor, accountability was lacking, and I left feeling like my business meant very little once they had my money. The overall atmosphere of the shop struck me as unprofessional, disorganized, and concerning. Nothing about my experience inspired confidence that vehicles were being treated with the level of care customers should expect. Were to start. They were going to put a PPF wrap on part of my truck. They asked for a deposit to order the PPF roll of $750 and it will take a couple days. Gave deposit and ended up going back and forth for 4 months with excuses why its late or not showing up and they cant get the product. Eventually after 4 months I asked for a refund. They said they would cancel the order and refund me. Its been over 45 days from the refund request and still no redfuns. Because its Zelle there is nothing they can do at my bank outside of reporting a scam. This business is a scam NO NOT TRUST THEM. This started back in Jan 15th and not its May 21 with no refund or PPF wrap. Literally stole my deposit and keeps coming up with excuses. read more

The owner is a nice guy and all but their skill level and attention to detail just isn't there. I got their highest level 3 detail and this is how it came out. Like I told the owner I think my level of detail and perfection didn't match his or the staff that works here. They also under performed on repainting the cracking leather interior. The section looked better than before but it definitely wasn't perfect. I spent $670 for them to leave smudges on the windows , water marks on the door jams, dirt in the consul, and left over clay marks still on the paint. I rarely write reviews, but as a small business owner I truly appreciate working with other small businesses that go the extra mile to provide great service and experience for their customers. I can confidently recommend Hand Upon Detailing for both their quality of work and their customer service. For context, I had two Teslas ceramic coated. I opted for the 3-5 year (mid-tier) option with an extra base coat, and the service included the wheel faces. I worked exclusively with Daniel, who is the person that typically answers the phone. I found Daniel to be extremely friendly and pleasant to work with - he was more than happy to answer all my questions and was never pushy with trying to upsell. It was really obvious that he enjoys his trade, and talking to / working with clients. Most importantly, he and the rest of the team showed a pride in their work that is rare to find these days. Daniel was incredibly thorough and highly communicative throughout the process. He shared photos of initial defects in the paint, corrections done, before and after photos, and kept me in the loop on progress throughout the day via text. After he finished, he also sent and explained a ton of information on how to properly care for the car / coating so that it would last. He went the extra mile to do little extras (like interior and exterior detailing) that just showed how much he cared about delivering a great final product. My cars were done exactly on time and the final products were perfect. Amazing service from start to finish! Daniel was able to help me out over Yelp and get me scheduled quickly for the 3-5 year ceramic coating on my car at a competitive price compared to other shops in the area. My car had endured some nasty swirl marks from a bad wash/detail at another shop and Daniel assured me that he would be able to get the swirls out and then protect the car with the ceramic coating to get it back to a glossy/showroom like finish. Sure enough, Daniel and his team absolutely delivered! The car looks amazing and there is virtually no sign of the swirl marks that were there before. His attention to detail is impeccable. My truck had a mold issue on the carpet inside the cabin. Initially I sprayed the area with a little vinegar and baking soda to remove what was visible and thought it was ok. I was wrong... For almost a month after spraying with vinegar and baking soda I thought it was all good... I was wrong. I ended up having severe allergy issues and feeling sick any time after driving and knew I had to get professional service. Upon calling and communicating my issue I was able to get serviced within just a couple days and they were able to do a hot water extraction to remove the mold completely from the carpet. It's been 3 days now after service and am no longer feeling any issues of sickness or allergies from breathing in any lingering mold spores. I am beyond satisfied with the service and they even through in a little extra detailing on the inside and outside of my truck for no charge ( buffed out scratches on camper shell, and cleaned tires, front and back bumper and foot rails). The seats and inside of the cabin look and feel brand new and I am 100% satisfied with the service and will be coming back for any future detail needs! Keep up the great work fellas! read more

About 2 months ago I parked my car underneath these big trees at work. Somehow a very sticky tree sap substance got ontop of my car and all over my neck left door. The sap was like superglue and I was afraid that it would prevent me from falling up my windows. I had to use 4 different products to remove the sap from the car but it doing so I totally messed my my cars clear coating. I bought it into Daniel and within 2 days what he was able to accomplish was nothing short of magical. I got a paint correction, head light restoration, and an a full interior cleaning. Daniel not only fixed the damages to the paint, but he pretty much restored my car to a showroom finish. The headlights went from yellowish to completely clear; the paint was replenish to a sparkly bright finish. The scratch mark on the bumper of my car was buffed out; my car seats were steamed cleaned and everything on the inside was polished and cleaned to perfection. It was basically almost reset to when I had first purchased my civic 8 years ago. When I drove my car home even the air conditioning felt cooker because everything was so clean. The service was by no means cheap, but I definitely felt like I got value from everything that was done. Even if your car doesn't have any exterior paint issues, I would definitely recommend the interior cleaning package because of how spotless my car came out. If you look back at my yelp profile, I have never left a review. After my experience at Hand Upon Detailing, I had to change that. A few weeks ago, I brought in my 2023 Tacoma. Living by the beach has not been kind to it's paint. In desperate need of maintaining it's exterior, I started looking for a company to apply a ceramic coating. Hand Upon Detailing soared to the top of the list of recommended companies. Danny immediately responded to my quote request. Right off the bat, this place stood out. First, the price was better than anywhere else I looked. Second, they estimated it would take 2 days to complete it due to their in house curing lamps. Third.... Danny. From the beginning, Danny walked me through the process and explained exactly what him and his team would be doing. After leaving my truck there, he was in constant communication with me, keeping me up to date with how it's going and updating me on a potential timeline (which is extremely rare these days, and very much appreciated). After a few hours, he reached out explaining that some previous paint work that I had done to the truck, (was hit 5 days after purchasing the truck) was done incorrectly. After asking how much it would be to fix it, he tells me "No worries, we'll take care of it. Just wanted to let you know". That kind of customer service is almost non existent. I picked up the truck next day, which is insane. Truck looked fantastic. They even coated my tonneau cover. All I can say is the quality of the job done was enough to justify this review and it's 5 stars. But Danny and the crew's customer service took it above and beyond.
