My husband and I came here after a birthday party. The employee was kind and told us what was the favorites. I got the strawberry cheesecake in a waffle cone and my husband got the oreo cheesecake in a bowl. The ice cream was amazing! I understand why this place is the best. After one bite, you can tell that this is real ice cream. After ordering, the employee told us about a punch card! after 10 cones, you get the 11th for FREE! I enjoyed it so much. Why didn't I come here sooner? Handel's is a gem. What we got: Listen, I have been saying the best ice cream are ones with mix ins whether it's cake pieces or chocolate chip, etc. - I need the perfect balance of creamy and a chewy texture. Handel's did exactly that for me. They have a long list of year round flavors and two seasonal flavors that they rotate. We tried a few flavors, but ended up getting a scoop of Graham Central Station & Blackberry Cobbler. Definitely will be back soon! Environment: There's a small patio on the side of the store, but no seating inside. You see straight into their kitchen and it's very open and clean. Absolutely Fantastic Ice cream I found my first Handlells on a whim. It was deep into the pandemic and I had to get out and cruise around. It was cold winter, which is my favorite ice cream-consuming season. I saw the Handels in McKinney Texas and pulled in. Wow, couldn't believe I'd never had their delicious product. The other day, completely out of character and off the low-cal eating plan, I pulled into Handels and got, ready for this?, a double dip with Banana Cream Pie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie on a waffle cone.!!!! What a hidden gem this truly Homemade Ice Cream place is! The service was great, the ladies asked if we'd ever been there before, we said no so she explained everything calmly and without a rushing feeling.... Which was soooo nice because there's over (idk) 20++ different flavors to choose from and 5+ different cones and bowls too. She also explained that they have Seasonal Flavors too and proceeded in telling us the flavors and that we can also try any flavors we wanted. So we did!! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place too.... We sat on the little bench's that were along the inside and just enjoyed our Ice Cream. I got the pumpkin pie in a chocolate dipped cone and my boyfriend got the mint chocolate chip and vanilla with Oreo in a cone. We both LOVED our little masterpiece's! I mentioned my love of peanut butter, and the very polite employee behind the counter replied, "Oh, the Buckeye, for sure." Holy crap! Smooth peanut butter ice cream with an actual ribbon of decadent fudge and Buckeye candies (think mini Reese's PB cups. Perched atop one of their delicious cones, this thing was heaven!
