Oreo, this classic was packed with lots of big cookie chunks throughout. Any ice cream with oreos in it is a must! Coffee ripple, creamy caffinated deliciousness with a ribbon of caramel throughout. Chocolate cake batter, this literally tasted like refrigerated chocolate cake batter! This was one of our favorite flavors we had. They were all so yummy, but that waffle bowl was the star for sure... so buttery and syrupy, and it didn't get soggy under all that delicious ice cream! Yum! I had a negative experience here at Brusters. Every time I come in, there's usually only ONE employee working, even during the busiest hours!!! The poor employees are left to take orders, scoop ice cream, and I have even seen them clean up all by themselves. While they're working hard on our orders there is a LONG line forming to place new orders which leads to long wait times and frustrated customers like me. This review has nothing to do with the employees, they're always overwhelmed and can't handle everything alone. It's obvious that management has no idea what they're doing. A properly run shop should have enough employees scheduled to keep things moving smoothly, but this place is a mess. The general manager clearly doesn't care about staffing or providing good service, and it shows. I feel bad for the employees who go through all this stress. There are plenty of other ice cream shops that know how to run a business properly. The GM needs to get their act together!! read more

Service is always the BEST! There are so many choices from traditional ice cream, Italian ice, milkshakes, cake and more. There are specials for little ones and dogs, too. There are some vegan non dairy options with oat milk that I might try next time! Personally, I would like to see some kind of "healthy" or sugar free alternative on the menu for me. A very pleasant experience the staff were wearing masks and got my order completed quickly. We love the flavor options that they have at the store and how they are always changing. They have dairy free options too. They have signs stating that you must take the ice cream to go and markings on the ground showing the correct places to stand. Brusters Real Ice Cream serves up two ice cream foundations that serve as the base for the encyclopedia of flavor combinations on their menu: vanilla and chocolate. Then depending on the day of your visit, they'll offer fresh batches of a dozen plus of those combos on the menu. The Brusters flavors I tried didn't have the same buttery or creamy mouthfeel that Henry's Homemade, Devious Creamery or some of the local gelato shops popping up in Dallas share. But it's nice to have a lot of variety, and in that sense, Brusters easily compares to Beth Marie's or Milwaukee Joe's in my book. Some of the flavors I've tried: Double chocolate chunk = good amount of chocolate chunk Jamaican me crazy = packed with nuts and fudge, but wished it was stronger in coconut flavor Pistachio = just ok but where are the nuts Understand that this a walkup-window business, and during the summer months there are only 2-3 umbrella tables to hide from the heat. When the shop gets busy, sometimes it's best to take your dessert on the go (pints anyone?). The staff tries to turn around orders as quickly as possible, but be prepared to wait awhile if large groups and families are in line ahead of you. read more

When you pull up you can smell the vanilla from delicious waffle cones wisping through the air as they are made fresh on site. Lots of options, like hard scoops, soft serve, sundaes, splits and even free sundaes for your pups! On Thursdays if you bring your own banana, splits are 50% off! There are at least 2 dozen or more flavors of the scoop ice cream...I recommend the peanut butter Buckeye and not just because I'm a hard core Ohio State fan...it's also really good!! My husband had the turtle sundae with caramel and pecans but he swapped out the vanilla ice cream for butter pecan. Brilliance! I think the service needs tightened up a bit which I'm sure will happen as they clearly posted signage about "scoopers in training". Very good ice cream, extra creamy, scoop sizes were small compared to other ice cream shops. I had the Banana Chocolate Chip and Maple Pecan and would get both again. Bruster's is walk up only with a few tables and chairs outside. I watched a couple, man was in a wheelchair turn away because there was no where to sit inside and it was too hot to be outside. Found this place a few weeks ago and our whole family has fallen in love with it. Chocolate peanut butter buckeye is our favorite. It's the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. You can order online and pickup at the window and skip the line. If you don't order online then you order at the window outside. There is no indoor dining or seating. It's all outside.
