I've been coming here for several years. Usually I came to get my pedicure done. But today I needed both (mani/pedi). It was the worst experience I ever had. My manicure looks awful, they didn't clean cuticles and I see the previous color on the corners of my nails. More than that, when the technician was doing a pedicure, she cut my toe deeply. It was bleeding and it took time to stop it. After all procedures I paid $82! And the man asked me to pay tips for their job! On top of the fact that it is super conveniently located a few blocks from home I have found my nail savior MOMO! I am quite picky (yes I admit it freely haha) but MoMo passes all my quality checks. I have been to her 3 separate times and I can now say that I have found my regular nail diva! No more having to troop all the way back to my former nail salon which is at least an hour and a half train ride away. I too am also in love with this salon. I moved to the area about a year ago and wandered into this place after reading the yelp reviews - of course! I have had nothing but good experiences here in my year of tenure-ship as a customer. These ladies do excellent nails, have amazing personalities, and its just nice and friendly vibes all around the store. Other customers have been going there for years and also highly recommend this gem. They have gone out of their way to accommodate me as a customer when I've been running late for an appointment after work due to the crazy train. My tip? Yes sometimes you will be waiting about 20-30 minutes to get anything done as a walk-in but at the end of the day this is a nail salon. Greatness takes time - so call in advanced for anything that you need to get done so there will be less of a wait upon arrival. Ask for Suki or Momo - I've had only good experiences with both and haven't tried anyone else yet in the past year so i cant speak to how everyone else does nails in the shop. read more

I'm so livid right now. Most of the experienced technicians left so most of the current employees are new.. not saying they're not good. Just really slow and might not have all the techniques to give you the end result you want. Ive always had awesome nails in the past from this salon, but The last 4 times I've been there have been horrible. One couldn't polish my gel nail polish right. Two times the technicians were so slow they took an hour for a pedi i couldnt get my mani cuz i know for sure itll prob take even longer. Thr slow service wasnt even cuz they were meticulous or gave extra long massage. They were just being snail paced workers! The experience I had today was the worst. She took 50 minutes for a pedi and didnt know how to properly apply stones for the design I wanted. Consulted two co-workers and even the boss Frankie. Frankie told her the application steps including that it requires glue which she did not apply in the beginning. However she didnt know that she was suppose to blot out excess glue and my nail ended up looking like a blob of gel glue and just shit looking. I'm livid already because it's been 2 hours and 15 minutes already. Ranting... I know. Ended up with no design. Messed up polish on my ring finger. Wasted time. No apology or discount. Frankie need to train his employees better. And know when to get his lazy ass involved. When a client is pissed and dissatisfied with the service, you man up and fix it. I fell in love with a nail salon! While in the neighborhood, working. I decided to find somewhere to get my fill-in & pedicure for my up coming baby shower. So I turned to Yelp and this one had the best ratings and reviews ; and was only 2 mins from the office I was working from. I found 2hour meter parking easily, across the street. Walked in at 10am, to a salon that was already filled with women finishing up their pedicures. And was seated immediately. I was stunned with the amount of OPI gel colors that had to offer. Being that is my choice of gel polish to use. We got started right away. The women began having conversation with me and was very sweet.(I completely forgot to get her name) I have always been very picky with how a person applies the acrylic. And I could tell that I was going to be pleased with her work, by her techniques of applying it. I looked around as she went on. Very clean and well decorated, with a nice soft scent. NO pictures of hands holding weird object and such. Instead beautiful live plants and flowers. And canvas' of colorful artwork. One worker spent the morning restocking everyone draws with sterile tools and such. Sweeping and straightening up behind everyone that left their seat. There was more then enough employees there, that not one women coming in had to was more then 30seconds. And if you wanted more then one service, you were pleasantly stuck with the same technician from start to finish! In the end. After my technician paying attention to details, making me feel comfortable, and giving a great hand, leg, and foot massage. I absolutely loved the finished products. And made it back to the car before the meter was up! I will certainly hold off on nail day until I am back in town! read more

I went here with my daughter because it was in the neighborhood and I didn't want to do them myself - I might as well have, I'd have done a better job. When we arrived it was obvious the place was understaffed (there were plenty of open stations and each "technician" had a client) and there was one person in front of us. My daughter wanted UV gel, but one of the staff members took the basket containing the samples away from her and gave it to another customer before she could pick out her color. Twenty-three minutes later my daughter was finally called and ten minutes after that I was called. When my daughter said she was going to do a regular color because she wasn't able to pick out a UV gel option, she was repeatedly pressed to go and pick a UV gel color. She asked twice how much was their UV gel and the technician kept working and never responded. Meanwhile, I was sitting in the pedicure chair for over ten minutes with my feet soaking in barely room temperature water while the technician did another client's eyebrows. She never even mentioned that she was going to step away or said that she would be right back - she just disappeared for a while. When she returned and started working on my pedicure, my daughter had taken a seat in the pedicure chair beside me, because she'd already gotten her polish put on her nails (all she needed was polish and one acrylic nail replaced). When we were both done with our pedicures and I was getting my manicure done (by a different technician from who did my pedicure) I asked to be charged for both of our services. My daughter was charged $27 for UV gel polish and one nail replacement. Nothing else was done to her nails as she already had a full set on, filed, and perfectly shaped. Her pedicure was $13, which was not an issue. My mani pedi was decently priced at $20, but the quality of the work was well below standard (review picture). When my daughter inquired as to why her manicure cost so much when all that was done was one nail replacement and two coats of UV gel polish, the technicians started giggling amongst themselves. All of a sudden the technician that worked on my daughter remembered the price of UV gel color and said it was $23. Therefore, the nail replacement was $4. So just putting on the polish alone was $23. I didn't say anything at first, but their continued giggling and speaking amongst themselves in their native language while looking at us and making hand gestures really started to bother me. To make a point, I left a $2 tip for each of the three technicians that assisted us. That caused more giggling to the point that it became outright laughter. One of the technicians walked over and kept playing around with the bills that I'd left on the table. She was not one of the technicians that had serviced us, so it was obvious that my daughter and I had become a topic of conversation and gossip for the entire salon. I had to look the technician assisting me directly in the eye and said "I left you that amount because I'm not happy. Can you stop laughing now and finish my manicure?" She continue laughing until I looked at her and said "This is ridiculous. I didn't say anything when I waited so long to be assisted, I didn't say anything when I sat with my feet in cold water for over ten minutes before my pedicure began, and I didn't even say anything when it was obvious my daughter was being overcharged. However, laughing and gossiping amongst yourselves about us is where I draw the line". At this point, I think what I said finally got through to the technician and she stopped speaking and (more importantly) stopped laughing, then completed my manicure. This is a pretty good spot to get your nails done. I will say that it definitely depends on WHO does your nails because some ladies are a little more precise than the others. I only trust two ladies and if the entire business was able to do nails like they do, i would have been happy to give a higher rating but the quality of the work isn't consistent with the staff. The staff is usually kind and conversational, and the spot is clean and decorated nicely. They're taking covid precautions by spraying your hands with sanitizer before working, wearing face masks and a face shield on top of that with a plastic barrier in between the two. Also, pedicures are done with a plastic shield between each customer and they do try to stagger. I do feel safe getting my nails done during this whole pandemic. read more

I've been coming here since they first opened referred all my friends and family. Last year I got my nails done and the nail polish fell I had to pay 3 dollars for that. I am giving this place 1 star, because it only came out to 20 dollars plus tip. Their nail polishes are on the old side- thick, a little clumpy. They also don't clean the bottles so some of them are sealed shut with dried nail polish. My cuticles around my toes still hurt 3 days later. The woman went crazy cutting. I yelped in pain at one point but she didn't look up and kept going. She said to the woman working next to her that she never apologizes, which I thought was fine but also a weird and unnecessary thing to say. Anyway, a lot of women working. Probably never any wait time which is a plus. Price tag is cheap. All pros. However, cheapness comes at a price. Materials are old. Didn't feel clean. Towels were threadbare. Her name is Maomao, Momo, or I heard people call her sexy lady, LOL! Worst waxing experience ever! Girls If you want to wax don't go there.. I'm 100% sure the girls doing waxing are not certified. I have had waxing done for years and NEVER have I EVER felt so irritated and SCAMMED. First I get in there, I had a good impression because it looks nice and all the girls are with uniform (but don't let their professional appearance fool you) I asked for a Brazilian wax which was priced $35. It looked like they had a hard time deciding which girl should do the waxing.. so finally a lady gets to do it. She was using a big paper and used the same one more than 3 times. She kept trying to wax the same area several times failing to remove the hair. It was obvious she was just experimenting/practicing on me. I felt sticky all over. I finally asked her if she knows how to do waxing because it was just so obvious she didn't, she was struggling the whole time. She does know she has no clue so she calls another girl. I asked this girl if she does know how to do it because I was already irritated and sticky and in a rush to get somewhere. She says she knows. She seemed better than the previous lady but still not 100% there. I have to emphasize that I had a very light amount of hair. It should have taking me 20 mins max in that place. It took me an hour. Both the girls were nice, not rude, but what infuriated me the most and got me to write this review is the lack of care and customer service from the owner. I had to twist his arm for a $5 discount. I paid $30 for a $10 painful shitshow. He didn't even take into consideration the extra time I had to spend and the pain I was experiencing down there. i'm extremely upset. i've been going there regularly every 2 weeks for over a year. i started bringing my grandmother there. our nail tech was Nana. BEST in the game. (see pic below) she always did an incredible job and both my grandma and i never had any complaints. she was meticulous, careful, and just perfect. then she left, and she relocated too far from me so i tried out a couple other people. they were average, nothing crazy. my grandma doesn't speak english so usually i'd bring her, pick out a color, and tell her nail tech what to do (she also had acrylics) and then leave. as of late, they started charging her for services that she didn't ask for, or that weren't done. like shortening nails maybe by a MILIMETER, they charged FIVE dollars. and we always tip a hefty amount but it's just ridiculous. and when i called to question why the price was that high, the owner went on ranting about god knows what, was VERY rude, and was raising his voice. there's two customers he isn't getting back. very unfortunate read more

They had so many different brands. They have rainbow chrome, metallic chrome, regular chrome, mood changing, glow in the dark and so much more. I was shocked when the lady brought out the baskets for me. So many gel colors I was having a hard time to choose a color. I had lily and she was so amazing.
