I was visiting family in Connecticut and had tweaked my back pretty badly. I booked with Sammi Therapeutic Massage hoping for some relief and was fully prepared to pay top dollar without expecting much beyond temporary comfort. What I got was completely different. This was not just a massage -- this was actual healing work. She took the time to understand where my pain was, explained what she was doing (because I asked), and truly got in there and worked through the problem. The pain I came in with? Gone. If I had more time in CT, I would've gone back again just to continue the work and honestly get better sleep. She clearly knows the body and her craft. It's a private, by-appointment setup with a single table, and every second of it was worth it. From the comfortable setup to how she incorporated hot stones and intuitively read exactly what my body needed -- it felt intentional and effective. I'm genuinely so glad I didn't end up at another "typical" therapeutic spot that just goes through the motions. I'm sure there are other good places out there, but I don't see myself trying them anytime soon -- I feel like I found my person. If you're looking for a massage that actually fixes your knots and pain (not just temporarily relaxes you), this is your spot. I'd honestly consider flying back once a month for this.

When I first saw her, I still had two drains in and felt very vulnerable, but she was incredibly professional, gentle, and reassuring. Her practice is clean, comfortable, and calming. She wore gloves to ensure my incisions were protected from any potential risk, which made me feel even more at ease. After that first session, I immediately booked the series of five. I went twice a week for two weeks, then once during the final week. After not seeing her for about a week and a half, I reached out again and invested in five more sessions. The massages are absolutely worth it. I feel more comfortable, less swollen, and I can truly see the progress in my body. Bonnie makes you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you enter her business until the moment you step out of it. She doesn't just massage your back, she searches for the root cause of your pain and works on it. Then she gives you a debrief of her findings and what you need to do to improve the pain. It's not a massage for her, it's a mission of well being; she truly cares about her customers. Hands down the best massage I've ever gotten! Bonnie also takes care of you while your in her hands. My girlfriend & I had a couples massage around Valentine's Day and had less than great experience…read more(We had Dan and Kaitlyn). First, when I book an hour massage and include 2 add ons (dry brush and foot scrub), I don't expect them to be bundled within my one hour massage. It should be an hour massage plus the add-ons. My girlfriend was fine with hers (except for reason above), but 2 issues with mine. First, Kaitlyn did ask me if I wanted any area to have special attention and I said my scalp. Just before the massage ended, I think she may have massaged my scalp for a minute. Second thing: my entire massage was with me face down. My girlfriend was asked to roll over, but I remained face down the entire hour. I have never had an hour massage when only one side was treated. Despite that, I gave them each a $20 tip for their time, but neither of us are inclined to return. And if you are thinking they must have been busy that day, no. There was no one in the waiting area when we arrived and one person walked in when we were leaving. I emailed the owner to share this (not requesting a refund but as a head's up) and never heard back.

While the outside of the spa is not your typical aesthetic, I was very pleased with the spa room and service. Price was reasonable and they offer membership pricing as well. I will surely be back!
