I am incredibly upset with this business. I just purchased a Groupon for my 10 year wedding anniversary. I was married on 5/31/2015 so I bought a couples coupon for 5/31/2025 on Groupon. I spent $132.00 for it. I then called to schedule our couples massage and the owner/employee said "You can't use your Groupon for the weekend" and I kindly explained that this is the day of my anniversary. I then even offered to bring in the coupon and pay the remainer (full price) in cash. For a brief moment I thought she agreed to this but I was mistaken. She started throwing out dates in June ... and July .. for me to come in to use the coupon. I then said " I genuinely am just looking to schedule a massage. I don't want any trouble" because I could sense this was spinning and spiraling. She again stated the "coupon is for the weekdays only". I hung up and tried to cancel my Groupon order. I was able to cancel the order, but now I'm stuck with 'Groupon bucks' instead of getting a refund to my card. What an AWFUL 30 minutes. This was so unnecessary and I'm not going to use Groupon again. You know why? These business owners are resentful and angry at customers who buy them. If you don't want to provide the same level of service to a customer buying Groupon, then DONT CONTRACT with them. i have used this business via Groupon voucher before. But never again! I gifted my uncle a voucher fr Groupon directly to his phone for his retirement. He had the voucher on his phone and i printed it out for him at his retirement party. He scheduled an appointment not once but twice and was turned away. they didn't even try to call and verify the redemption code at all. Very callous, rude and unprofessional. I honestly loveeee mom and pop style spas. I swear for goodness this was prob top 5 best massages I've ever had in my entire life. Girlfriend massaged all the right spots in all the right ways. I feel like masseuse very rarely touch my head and usually it's just the nape of my neck but sis was all up in there and everywhere. She paid special attention to my problem spots and unlocked some things. There was some deep assisted stretching. Awful experience, a friend & I went for some relations since it was our bdays. After i was done (mind you paid for back massage and barely passed to shoulders)--my friend didnt even make it to the restroom yet when she was hounded for more of a tip--$17 for two 50$ services wasnt enough--lucky you even received a tip after not even giving us our full service, not even providing one of us with our entire time, and using Dollar tree products on us... I think it was sufficient to get what they got... But to run after us before we were even finished with highly unprofessional and disrespectful to us as customers. This place is a complete rip off. I do not recommend anyone to go here. I've had such a bad time that legal action will have to be taken against this establishment. People go here to get relaxed yet I've left completely mortified, insulted, and harassed! I came here back in November 2020 and became a VIP member in 2021. I'm extremely disappointed in these ladies. They overwork their workers and get told that more tip should be given because they are tired. This is a mixed bag for me that is ultimately not worth it. My girlfriend and I called after purchasing, hoping to book for that weekend. We were told that we must book during the week. The conversation made it sound as if the Groupon would not be honored for a weekend visit. Upon reading it back to the person on the phone, she agreed to see us in two weeks on a Sunday at 3:30 in the afternoon. We took the appointment. We were also told how very busy it was and would be. The day before the appointment, I received a text confirming the time as 3:15. This was not the time we booked. We received a call at 3:17 asking after our arrival. We were on our way. We were told this was fine. We arrived at the very modest place. No frills, for sure, which would have been fine, if the services were worth it. There was nary a soul in sight. The place was not only not "busy," it was dead. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk greeted us and then told us of the importance of getting a full body massage. She went further to tell us that for 22$ a piece we could get one of those. This went on for a minute or two where we explained that we did not need this. The price came down to $20 per person. We decided not to buy that based on first impressions. We were guided to two old recliners toward the front that sat behind a dingy curtain. I am remiss in that I did not take a picture, but while not awful, it wasn't great. She left us there for a moment to listen to the distorted, grating piano music that I assume was to relax us. My person came back first (I was truly wondering if there was going to be one person rubbing each of our feet with one hand) and put down a basin of hot water. She put my feet in, started the timer, and then left for a moment. So, the timer is running now as my girlfriend waits to have her feet soaked. A minute or two later, the first lady comes back. After putting my girlfriend's feet in hot water as well, the washing of feet begins. This was fine. Not great. Fine. The foot scrub and rub, with some light calf work, went on for about 40 minutes. There was really no art to it. It was a foot rub, not "reflexology" and should be listed as such. It ended with a wiping of my feet and shins with a very hot stone. Then, we were told to go to the massage rooms. The timer was not halted and we walked back. By the time I went face down, we probably got about 5-6 minutes of work on our shoulders and a tiny bit on the lower back. It was very meh, and when they offered to extend our time for a fee, I am sure you know what we chose. These are hard-working people, for sure. This is not reflexology and barely passes as a massage. It looks as though the $148 that we paid is down to $118. If you feel like spending approximately 60$ before tip for a nice person and a mediocre massage, this is for you. read more

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I had an appointment scheduled and the woman at the desk told me that I could not use my Groupon at the time of my appointment but I could pay cash and get the service. She said the Groupon service is different and told me the owner would call me in 10 minutes to discuss. I waited about 45 minutes and still no call. Something seemed off about the whole experience so I asked to see the massage therapy license and she showed it to me from afar but when I went to look closer at it, she grabbed my hand and twisted it and told me I could not see them. My boyfriend and I received an AMAZING massage here because they had awesome Valentine's Day packages! They even gave me a free rose. We ended up adding on an extra 30 minutes to our massages because we loved it so much. Everyone wore masks and they took your temperature at the door. Be weary though- if you google your spas like I do before booking, there is a spa with the same name located in Milford MASSACHUSETTS (I believe) who was shut down by the police. I purchased a couples massage from this place and I had a great message! The ladies that did our message were friendly and did a great job. When you pull up this didn't look big. When we got inside the place didn't look big but it was clean and it smelled good. When we arrived they asked us to pay for the service we wanted first. Then we went into the room. They had dim lighting and soothing music playing which was a nice touch to the ambiance. The room was clean. When we got undressed and into the room my masseuse asked me which pressure I would like. Which was nice because some places don't ask you. I told her medium which was good. But in the middle of my massage I asked her to apply a little more pressure and she did. They did a hot stone treatment with was nice and then they did the massage with warm oil and once my massage was almost over she asked if I wanted to extend my time. Once she was done with my massage she wiped me down with a warm towel. I got dressed and then left a tip on the way out. They do prefer the tip to be in cash. I had a couples massage with my partner and had a wonderful experience! The booking prior to the appointment was prompt, and they had next day availabilities. The facilities were clean and ambiance was relaxing. We got the massage with hand treatment and hot stones which was truly great. The massage was the perfect pressure and she spent extra time focusing in on my tight spots in my thoracic muscles. We visited this spa for a couples massage and its was great. Once we entered our temperatures were taken and then we filled out some paperwork. The place is clean, warm and smelled nice. Usually when we do a couples massage we are side by side but im guess because of safety precautions we were head to head; in two seperate rooms that had a sliding door left open to feel like one room. The ambiance was perfect. Our massage included a hand treatment and hot stones. I loved that we weren't pressured for a tip like many places do. Yes, of course we tipped. I went in for a couples massage with my fiancé and came out feeling manhandled and sore. From the beginning they never asked if I had prior injuries or where to focus on or where not to touch. The woman was fast paced and huffing and puffing the entire time. She literally punched parts of my body and slapped my ass. I feel a little bad because the woman who gave me a massage was sooo sweet however overall this was not my favorite. She never asked anything about me or what I was looking for, just went right after it. In the room, she had me put my face on a paper towel covering the face hole which was strange. Also, I was covered in a super warm blanket which was far too warm for august. At the end she had me sit up and was moving my arms around which left me without anything covering my chest. The massage itself was nice but she also spent a lot of time on places that were clearly less tense than my shoulders which is where I really needed more work. It had been over a year since I'd had a massage, and due to the good reviews about Covid precautions at Sunshine Spa, I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. I received a back massage so soothing I almost fell asleep. As others mentioned, the Covid precautions are strong: everyone (patrons and staff) wear masks all the time, temperatures are taken at check in, and customers sign a Covid statement (confirming you feel well, etc.) at the beginning. I also have to give a shout out to my masseuse for thoughtful customer service: a customer in a nearby room was a loud talker during his massage, and my masseuse repeatedly checked in with me to see if I would prefer to be moved somewhere quieter. Not the worst experience I have ever had at a spa, but it was pretty close. I waited over an hour for my scheduled appointment. Our appointment was at 10 even though it said it was closed at 9 when we checked their website. Not very nice or clean, it is basically a nail salon. They were continuously talking through out our couples massage which was super annoying while trying to relax. They left the room multiple times which also ruined the relaxing experience we hoped to have. There were no doors, just curtains for the rooms and considering at some points my bottom / upper legs were exposed anyone in the lobby could see straight in. It was 10:30 and someone came in asking for a massage (it did not feel very safe and secure especially with no doors and the time of night it was) which I thought was strange considering it said it was closed at 9pm (I thought we had a 10 o'clock cause we had scheduled an appointment prior). Anyways, the massage was mediocre at best, no infused water (just as a reference as many high end spas offer), basic massage oil you could find at cvs, etc. What really bothered me was the tattered, old, stained blanket that was on the bed that I had to use to cover myself up. I was trying to stay positive as we had just driven a half hour up to get a massage there but it was very frustrating considering how dissatisfied we were with the conditions. Not to mention the sign stating they do not offer happy endings ... I have been to very high end spas, spas somewhere in the middle, and then there was this which I found to be basically a nail salon that decided to start giving massages. There are no amenities you would expect at a nice spa but I mean it's for the price you pay, it is what is expected. We also were bombarded about tipping the minute the massage was over and they failed to mention the already included (tax/fee/tip) that we were required to pay as well. read more
