This was our first time using this company for the staircase landing leading up to the main entrance and pavers. It has been nearly 2 years since we moved into this home and needed renovation to the outside of our home, so we was excited when Melvin and his crew came on board to help us accomplish that especially during covid. Melvin and his crew worked so hard to be done within the time frame promised which was 5 days and I was very optimistic from the start. Upon completion we hired them again to do the basement because we had to fire the guys who was doing our basement which was at the same time melvin was refacing the front of our home. We asked melvin if he wanted to take on in sealing the floor and painting the basement and so he did. Their work was done in such a timely and professional manner we acted fast and had him look at our backyard where we wanted to add a floating deck by extending it another 15×16 feet. He replied by saying that "He specializes in Decks which was his favorite area of work. We actually had to let another guy go because he was going to be done in 14weeks and he didn't even start yet, and Melvin and his crew was going to take 7 days. At this point it's business and nothing personal. The crew couldn't have been more courteous and conscientious to detail also very patient with my vision in how I needed it to look. When he began, I have to admit that I was skeptical. I just did not see what I was invisioning and describing but that's because it was just all a mess back there (see Photos) Again I'm so pleased to report that the crew worked tirelessly and pretty silently throughout the week onsite and demonstrated respect during their brief encounters with us. Overall the jobs involved waiting for permits, digging, scraping, cementing, building, cutting & painting. Once finished, the cleanup could've been better and that's the only Con I have. I am partial to supporting and maintaining a relationship with a true contractor. M&N has demonstrated the same quality of work from our first project to the current ones. Before the project began, I requested/checked references provided. I also spotted their ongoing work throughout yelp, so I made it a point to privately embark on my own personal inspection as I do with everything. I have already determined that I will be using M&N Construction for our next project around Spring 2021 for now our In-Home renovation and I would be happy to offer a more detailed recommendation and referral if/when needed. Can anyone fix this leak?? I had several estimates, had 4 different companies come and tell me what would fix that leak. The range of remedies was vast and varied in costs. CHARLIE with ON THE SPOT was the first to come take a look. Right away I was impressed with his knowledge, he was very kind, respectful and professional. The subcontractors that they used to do my project varied wildly in terms of the quality of their work and experience. Working with On the Spot is not an experience I'll ever reflect upon with any fondness. Everyone has that friend/neighbor/realtor's nephew who had an awful experience with a contractor. Well in this case, I am that friend/neighbor/realtor's nephew and On the Spot is that contractor. Look elsewhere.

Anthony originally said he would come Monday to fix it, never came, then Tuesday, never came, then said his father would personally come today (Thursday), never came. He usually sends 1-2 guys to work for a few hours and then doesn't return until several days later. More than half the time he doesn't show up when he says he will, and I have to call to find out why. How does a relatively small job like this not get finished in 7 weeks? Since he kept making excuses about why he couldn't come to finish the job, I told him I would report it to Yelp. Then literally the next day, he came and said he'd like to finish the job because he always keeps his word, and it doesn't matter if I leave my bad review up. I kept saying to forget it, but he insisted. So he finishes installing the handrail and wouldn't you know it, he texts me asking if I can take my review down. This is the third time I have used Champion for a major job, and I couldn't be happier. We had…read morewater penetrating from the wall and floor of our garage, and finally decided that it was coming up through the concrete. The garage floor was 80 years old and only an inch thick. I worked with Danny on a scope that addressed the garage floor, the rear concrete deck, the sidewalk, and also provided painting and finishing in the garage. He was very patient while working out the scope and cut back or found much cheaper solutions for parts of the job. As usual, during the work Danny called me every day (how often can you say that about a contractor) to let me know the status or check on decisions. He recommended a more durable screen door replacement and he also replaced an existing light fixture at no charge. We identified some additional drainage problems that contributed to the leakage, and quickly agreed to an expanded scope to cover drain repairs at a reasonable price. His crew were extremely considerate, timely, reliable and knowledgeable. All of his recommendations were solid, and he worked hard to accommodate our budget. Where he couldn't, he was absolutely correct in recommending a slightly more expensive solution to address unexpected conditions and cut back on other parts of the scope. Today we have a watertight garage (which I thought would never be possible) that is clean, painted and useful. We were able to park our car in it, avoiding a major snowstorm, for the first time in ten years. Heavy rainstorms have not produced water inside. Danny is trustworthy and reliable and we are pleased with the work of each member of his team.

He called at 10 to say he was leaving. The broker, my wife, and I stood around till he shows inconveniencing us and the homeowner. He looks it over and also declares that we should use him for painting too as we want to repaint the entire home. In the entire time he took no notes, measurements, etc. We leave with Danny stating that he would be back to us with ideas in a few days. A week later he hasn't called so I email and call. I got his voice mail and left a message. He called me the next day, and I asked if he could replace a bathroom sink faucet and drain assembly. I already bought the faucet, so I needed a plumber to remove the old one and install the new one. Eventually, he followed up with me and was able to travel to my house one day after the initial call. Although I wasn't in a rush, it was still good fortune that Jim was available in a short amount of time. Jim came prepared to do the work with his tools, plumbing materials, and floor cover. I talked to him on and off for about 10-15 minutes about his background and my job request. Jim is a nice guy, with a laid back and down-to-earth personality. He explained the work he was doing without hesitation and shared his insights about my sink and bathroom set up. He was able to complete the job in under 2 hours and charged a very reasonable price for parts and labor. I definitely have Jim on my short list of contractors and hope to hire him again for more work later.
