I've used this location for years for both business and personal shipping, but the new policy is disappointing. If you ask for packing help, you're now required to ship using their inflated rates which are much higher than USPS or online options. I was told they "make no money" on packing, but forcing customers into overpriced shipping isn't the answer. I used to justify the higher costs for the friendly service, but that's not the case anymore as there is an older gentleman there that is very abrasive and condescending (at least has been my experience every time) Unless you absolutely have to use them, I'd say look elsewhere. read more

I go here all the time and everyone is so helpful and gives great customer service. Usually I have no problems with my packages reaching their destination but Fed Ex recently lost my package Karen was great and submitted a claim for me and was able to recover most of cost for my items. I was surprised to also receive my shipping costs back so thank you Karen for working this out for me. Lesson that was learned though is to not choose Fed Ex as a shipping option. Can't say enough good things about this business! A few weeks ago we had to ship a package to our daughter, and when it arrived an item was missing. When we called to inquire about this they checked the store and called us back to let us know that they were unable to find the item, but they immediately offered to pay to replace it. As the item was only $15 I told them I appreciated their honestly and customer service, but it wasn't necessary as this was not a high-value item. Good customer service! The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I've had them print and cut wedding invitations, baby shower invitations and thank you cards, just to name a few. This place was the absolute worst! I missed my UPS guy so I had to pick up a package from here, I'm not exactly sure why they took it here instead of my apt. office but I will make sure it never happens again. I figured I would run over and it may take 5-10 mins to pick up a box, but no! There was a girl working and one guy in the store, after about 5 mins she told him she would call him because she was unable to ring him out, she was having computer issues. Well after he left, she got a call from her manager, she was sitting at the counter maybe a foot away from me and didn't even acknowledge me. She was on the phone about 5 more mins till I finally asked if I should leave then it clicked that she should probably finally help me. She told her manager there was a customer and let her go a couple mins later. She attempted to look for my package but couldn't find it, meanwhile the tech support calls, she starts a convo with them while standing behind the counter and forgets what she's doing. Finally, minutes later she asks if they can hold because she has a customer. Well she never finds my package, luckily employee # 2 walks in and says he will call me when it arrives or when they locate it. This ends up taking over 20 minutes and I never get my package! I realize the employee was having computer issues but she completely ignored me. I hope I never have to return here. read more

I shipped an items from this location, I purchased insurance and signature required for a value of $950. The store took my payment then proceeded to ship my package via United States Postal Service (USPS). When I received proof from USPS that the package was lost I took it to PacNMail. They informed me that USPS only covers up to $50 and that they shipped using the wrong carrier. They said that their 3rd party insurance might not accept the claim and if they did not the store would cover it out of pocket. Well, its has been two months, their insurance is digging through pre-shipping minutia trying to find a loop hole not to pay. Finally I receive notice that they are not paying. PacNMail sends me an email that they are refunding my $50 I paid for insurance, case closed. I'm pretty sure a judge will only need to see proof of insurance and proof the package was lost. I went a couple days ago to drop of an international FexEx shipping as fast as possible package that inside the box included a commercial invoice, and I get a call 2 days later saying they couldn't ship the package because it did not have a commercial invoice. They completely failed to mention needing a copy of the invoice. Furthermore, they also thought that the country of Chile is inside Mexico. Never ship anything here, they might smile at you when you walk in but they either think that no country exists that could possibly need a shipment outside the US or that any Spanish sounding name must be Mexico. read more

This place is my go to for all things mail and packages now. It's got a few great things going for it: 1. They sell shipping labels for UPS, FedEx and USPS all in one place and you can pick the rate that is lowest based on the weight of your package and whether you need tracking etc. It's the same rates you'd pay by going directly to those places. They don't have the USPS flat rate boxes, but you can get those delivered and then drop off here. 2. They sell everything you need to pack up your stuff and its the same price you'd pay to buy supplies from Target or whereever. They'll even pack it up for you for not a lot. 3. The wait is usually WAY less than the post office. Even during the holidays. They're fast and care about the customer. 4. They have a rewards punch card so you can actually save money if you send a lot of packages. 5. They are just generally helpful. They've taped up boxes for me, printed tracking numbers for me, looked up tracking numbers for me over the phone after I lost them, and let me print from my email from their laptop to send with a return. Oh and I've bought stamps here and I drop off all my prepaid returns here, because I know I can get in and out faster than any place else, and my stuff will get to the right place. It's one-stop shopping. I don't even have to think about it anymore, I just go here whenever I have a mail or shipping need. read more

They have notary service, private mail boxes for reasonable rates which unlike the us postal service, can handle large parcels. They employ an amazing graphic artist who can create post cards and various other advertising mediums for small businesses. This store also provides a variety of photo related services such as enlarging photos onto large sturdy canvases without a reduction in the quality of the photo. I sent a package via UPS from VA to NYC, through Pac N Mail. When I arrived at Pac N Mail, I explained that I wanted to have the package picked up from the nearest UPS location instead of having the package delivered to the front door of a high rise apartment. The gentleman at Pac N Mail was kind and informative. He looked up the nearest UPS location for the destination in which the package was to be delivered. He measured, weighed the package and charged a little over $20, with a delivery date of Wednesday. The package arrived Thursday and when the recipient arrived at the UPS NYC location, she was told that it would cost $11 to pick the package up. WAIT! WHAT? I was never told that there would be a charge on the recipients end, or I would have opted to send it another way. The recipient was told by the UPS facility that they can charge what they want because they are a franchise. The recipient advised the NY location that she would return the following day after speaking with UPS to confirm the exorbitant charge. At that time, she was told that she would be charged an additional $5 for each additional day that the package was held. Naturally, she paid $11 and left. Naturally, I immediately contacted Pac N Mail and they are now telling me that there is usually a minimal charge for recipients who pick up packages. My concern is that most consumers have no idea that this happens. I realize that it wasn't Pac N Mail who charged the ridiculous $11, but it would have been nice had I been told (at the time of shipping), that sometimes there is a charge on the recipients end.
