I paid them even though I told the cashier "I did not think this was my jewelry" because it did not look like it did when I dropped it off . I came back later because the small latch had broken. They said they would replace it for free, and they would give me back another latch to replace the one that I dropped off. *After I brought it to their attention that I had pictures of my jewelry previous to dropping it off it was two toned, * they acknowledged it & replaced the two-tone finish on one side of the anklet instead of both. obviously I've been overcharged for the service. Approximately $100 worth of gold, that was about the price that I had to pay for them to replace it, and basically make my jewelry less valuable. Initially everyone was so willing to help me but today when I showed up after the many times that I've showed up to inquire about receiving my gold latch back or my refund the redhead assistant didn't even acknowledge me. I sat there with my service animal. Waiting. And to humor me and add insult to injury she gave me the same response that she does every time I show up "I've called the headquarters and I've called the repair and nobody's giving me an answer" It's been over 6 months and I feel like a "debt collector" because I am obviously owed. We took it to Bill French Jewelers and Bill not only fixed the prong, he was quite patient about finding the right sized stone for the ring (I wanted a slightly larger stone), and made sure it was as near to perfect as a stone can get. In the summer of 2016, I went in to look at some rings for our pre-teen daughter for her upcoming birthday. Bill noticed my ring needed cleaning, but more so, he took a look at the diamond cross I was wearing. This cross was a birthday gift to me from my Mom (who passed in 2009) when I turned 16. I wear this cross all the time and rarely do I take it off. Bill noticed the bale for the cross and the clasp on the chain were worn thin. It was worn so thin, the cross was about to fall from the chain any second. Since I had been wearing it since I was 16 years old, that's A LOT of wear! I hadn't even noticed it. Bill, with his expert jeweler's eye for such detail, caught it! I was happy to turn it over to him for fixing and bought a better, thicker chain that went well with the cross. Not only that, after examining the cross, Bill explained to me the cross was not silver, as I had thought, but white gold and pointed out the carat measure on the back. It was too small for me to read and I never thought much about it, only that it was a gift from my Mom! I would have been devastated if I had ever lost this cross, not because of the worth in gold and diamonds, but because it was a gift from my Mom. Through the years, we have bought watches and other pieces of jewelry from Bill French. This Christmas my husband bought me a gorgeous watch. My fiance's ring was $179 originally. My ring was priced out $449. My fiance and I decided to go back in August for the rings. A day later, Kendrick called and left a message with my finace. Kendrick included that my fiance's ring was $30.56 and my ring was down to $221!!!! This was super exciting, as we are on a budget! That next day, we rushed to see Kendrick. We got my fiance's ring for $30.56 and the insurance was only $15! We checked out of there soo cheap! We also got to see Kendrick who was so nice and considerate enough to contact us when he knew a good deal! One draw back: I tried on a 1/4 karat t.w. anniversary band for $449 on my initial visit. I went to another jewelry store and found that I like the 1/2 karot better. On the second visit, I told a Samuels associate (not sure of name) that I didn't want to buy the 1/4 anymore... I wanted to try on the 1/2. She said, "Okay" and just rang up my fiance's $30 ring!! I mean, come on, she could have let me try on the 1/2 and then gave me the price but she did not want to go the extra mile.
