I went up and checked before, during and post work and we are so pleased. We are now properly vented and have airflow, have all areas sealed, vent fans sealed correctly and enough insulation. It took only about an hour for the estimate, including the 1/2 hour the gentleman took to write it up and provide photos, work to be done and costs (in a color pamphlet!). He also reviewed what was found and what work should be done and why. We were really impressed. The actual work was scheduled week later and took 2 days (did not take an entire day each day). They were quick, clean, put up plastic barriers to protect the walls, house and floor. No leakage of any debris or old soiled insulation occurred. 10/10 would hire again. After the work, I discovered an unusual amount of dust accumulating in my house and tracked it down to the attic intake duct not being sealed and the new blow in cellulose insulation being sucked into my air system. I removed the blow in insulation to seal it and found all the shoddy work done by the Crawl Pros crew: unsealed ducts, horribly sloppy foam spray sealing, wrapped ducts with large gaps where insulation is missing, old rat droppings not cleaned up, sand from blasting not vacuumed, bent blow in depth gauge to mislead about actual insulation depth, old insulation re-used and buried, loose staples from a failed staple gun, and damaged hardwood floor near attic entrance. All I had to do was read Eugene's mission statement on his website to know that this guy has integrity, and boy does he live up to his word! I knew that I had a dry rot issue in a few of the window frames, but decided to play dumb to see who of the 5 bidders would be honest with me. I even asked them if they saw any indication of rot (which was visually apparent). Eugene was the only person who brought it to my attention. That is how I knew he was the contactor for me. Everyone else lied and underbid to get the job. I have worked with a lot of contractors on my house, and they all disappointed. Eugene shined. From day one his communication, honesty, and integrity stood out. When it came time to remove the old windows, it was discovered that the dry rot was way worse than originally expected. He found a structural contractor and worked hand in hand with them. He was here every day making sure everything was going smoothly. The other window bids likely would have covered up the issues instead of calling to attention the structural integrity of the wall, knowing the safety issue that it posed and that it would extend the project timeframe. His crew. Oh my gosh, the nicest most respectful crew you will meet. They put in long days in the rain and cold to get the job done, were respectful of my property, and truly are the nicest of guys. Because of this outstanding work ethic and honesty, I just hired them back to replace another grouping of windows. They stumbled upon another little chunk of dry rot (ugh, old houses in the PNW!) and instead of covering it up, they took photos and replaced the sill to make everything sound and sturdy. We chose GOAT to install a three zone mini split system. //CONSULT// Our consultation with Andrey (one of the owners) was fantastic. He was on time and showed up when he said he would. Unfortunately other companies we asked for quotes missed their appointments - but not Andrey. He thoroughly explained everything and did a thorough walk through. //COMMUNICATION AND QUOTE// I liked that Andrey followed up with us to check in with us. Again other quotes took more than 3+ days. Went with Goat to replace the furnace as well as an aging air conditioner with a new heat pump and furnace. Great service, got it installed quickly once Andrey received it. Price was great and very competitive with the other ones. House is warm and toasty, and energy bills are lower with the heat pump providing heating when it's not cold enough for the furnace. Each time, the technician listened to the problems we were experiencing, correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit. This last time, the technician was able to assure me there was no leakage problem and the alarm was an error. He did a through investigation. I have been very satisfied with the communication. Too often, a service provider is unwilling to take the time to talk to the customer (especially if the customer is a woman). We have purchased a Priority Plus membership because I anticipate on-going problems with this water heater. I trust the technicians who have provided services. Several services are available at a discount with the membership and I plan to use them.

What?!? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Bait & SWITCH! I told her on the phone "OK, I take it back. Suddenly my heater is working beautifully. I need the free maintenance visit," she replied "well now that I've already said it wasn't working properly and it's been recorded, I have to pay the $100+ for the appointment. I became a total 'Karen' and asked to speak to someone on a higher level. I was furious!! She couldn't transfer me because it's a Saturday.
