I hate to tarnish what is a near perfect yelp rating but when an appointment is set and he doesn't show up or have the decency to call and/or reschedule it leaves me no choice. Bob - you maybe a great handyman but that is no way to conduct business. I came home from work specifically to meet you, left you a polite message to call me 30 minutes past the appointment time and yet you didn't call to apologize or reschedule. If you want somebody who is reliable and trustworthy, don't call Bob. I called him because of all the good reviews I read on here. Got his voice mail, left a message, and he never called me back. In spite of that red flag, I called him again a couple of days later because I desperately need some work done around my house. This time he picked up, and he agreed to come to my house Monday morning to get started, and we would talk about the rest. Monday morning he was 20 minutes late. I let him know I'm disabled (severe RSI means I can't do anything strenuous with my arms). The work includes fixing the lights in my kitchen and my kitchen sink - and I cannot call a plumber to fix it until the lights are replaced in the ceiling. Which I am physically incapable of doing myself. He started by lifting a few heavy things for me, and quoted me a price for the rest of the work - promising to call me within the next day to set a time. By Wednesday, he still hadn't called, so I started calling him, always getting his voice mail. I left some messages, letting him know that because I don't have a cell phone, I was afraid to leave the house for fear of missing his call. No response. By Thursday, I was crying. I left another message asking him to please, please call me back. No response. I could never get anything but his voice mail, and none of my messages ever got a reply. As another reviewer on here said of Bob - it's like he just dropped off the face of the earth. I'm absolutely baffled why he would tell me he was going to do the work if he had no intention of doing it. At the very least, he could have told me he didn't want to do the work so I could call somebody else instead of waiting all week for him to call. Because of Bob, I spent a week waiting by the phone for a call that was never going to come. Because of Bob, I'm still living with a broken sink and I still can't call a plumber because of the lights. Because of Bob, I spent most of Thursday crying. I'm disabled, he told me he would do the work, and then he just blew me off. For the life of me I don't understand why he seems so nice to some customers, and then treats others like garbage. It's baffling. But this is not the behavior of a reliable trustworthy person. read more

Very personable and listens to directions. I had him install all new kitchen appliances. He had several arguments during a long day with his co-worker. After completing the job, I had to call him back several days later because I had water leaking under my sink. He had not tightened all the plumbing connections after installing a new dishwasher. Several days later, I had to call him again, brand new Bosch dishwasher stopped altogether. He said that he had hooked everything up correctly and he would look online for a solution. After two days of not hearing back from him, I called Bosch for warranty support. A week later, warranty repair company came out and told me installation was not correct and a wire in the power supply had not been tightened properly during the install. read more

Bobby is awesome. Had a need for some quick touch-ups / repairs around the house before having some guests in. He was easy to contact, scheduled an appointment to come by and give a quote. Was prompt, gave quote and returned as scheduled to complete the work. The work itself was first-rate and even required some on-the-job problem solving as one of the repairs was a bit tricky. Frustrating. Called several times regarding some repairs and had tenants calling as well. We both left messages that went unreturned, and on the occasion I was able to connect with them, there was no follow-up. I played phone-tag for several weeks, then went with Jiffy Wagon. Bob is a great choice for handyman service. He did a great job installing some door locks for me. When I called and told him I was available only one specific day, he was flexible enough to meet me first thing that morning. Bob is also very personable. It turns out we follow the same pro sports teams, so we had a cool chat about our teams. One more point about Bob - while he was installing the locks, I had a washing machine installed. The installer told me he couldn't finish job because the drain pipe tube wasn't cut open. So they left. Bob cut open the hole without me even asking him. A nice touch! Great service! A circuit went out in my kitchen at 5am which shut off, among other things, the refrigerator. Yelp said they did not open for business until 9. Bobby helped me with a handful of projects around my house and I was very happy with the results on all. I'd recommend him to anyone who has anything, large or small, that needs to be done in their home, for a minimum of time and expense. What I really like about Bobby is his range of expertise, from construction type: removing a built in closet from a bedroom (you can't tell it was ever even there), to electrical: installing ceiling fans, to more basic: hanging art, shelving, and photographs. We needed a handyman at the last min as the person we had scheduled was un-reliable and just didn't show up. So my spouse called Bobby. What a great find. He was so professional and well spoken. He talked to us about our services and how we wanted to do them. We had a TV mounted over the fire place and he took the time to explain the different options with the wiring that we had. He gave us his opinion and did the work. He took his time and did such a great job that he didn't even need to do any patchwork or painting. The TV looks great and the equipment works perfectly.
