He would provide a quote, complete the work as agreed, and everything always went smoothly. On the most recent job, there were several items involved, and I later realized that one item I had requested was not completed. I asked about a refund, and he said the work was not done and that I had not been charged for it. We had discussed the item previously, but it was not in writing. He believed we decided not to proceed with it, while I believed it was still included. Ultimately, it was a misunderstanding on both sides. When I went to review the invoice to verify the charges, I was unable to find it. I asked multiple times over the course of a couple of months for a copy, as I need it for my tax records. Most of the time he ignored me, but when he did respond I was given excuses as to why he could not send me the invoice. I worked with him for years without any prior issues, but based on how this misunderstanding and follow-up were handled, I would not recommend him. read more

Disappointed. Cannot recommend for a variety of reasons. First, "nicked" me on cost: Despite showing up in advance to estimate, when he finally came to fix it he raised the price over 13%. With Easterners at the house for Thanksgiving week, we had to endure his extreme delays & no-shows, w. excuses that did not seem credible (making me wonder if he made 'em up out of thin air). Sloopy too: He used wood screws when attaching into sheet-metal (the threads are different, so I wonder if this will hold up over time). Ppoor attitude.
