They have a huge selection of berries to for U-pick at their farm such as blackberries, loganberries, boysenberries, and even currants, which is a rare find. They have white, red, and black currants. Their picking is during a short period of time in the few weeks of July so a lot of things can get picked over the later you go. We went close to closing time at 2pm and it took a while to find the raspberry/loganberry area. We picked boysenberries, loganberries, and currants. We ended up picking too much and not realizing the cost was not just per bucket but per pound $5 each per bucket and per pound, so 3 buckets ended up being $80!! So it is pretty pricey. All of the berries were yummy and good, though I wish they had boxes or berry containers instead of plastic bags because in combination with the several pounds of weight in each bag with the 100+ degree day, a lot of the berries ended up getting smushed on the way home. That was a bit of a bummer, but I guess I'll use for smoothies. We'll definitely be back to pick more berries next year, but will be bringing a box and I would highly suggest doing the same if purchasing a large quantity.

We visited in early October. Last year we visited and they were closed since the apple season was…read moreover so this time I called to ask if they were still open for apple picking. They said yes and there are still apples on the trees. Which was not really true, we left with 10 tiny apples, 3 of which were from another family that had given up. We walked all sections of the orchard, most apples were on the ground and rotting. I am disappointed that they told me apples were available. They should have said they were open for their small store but not apple picking. We were excited to go and after we discovered almost no apples on the tree I realized I didnt see people leaving with bags and bags of apples. Most were leaving empty handed. The owners are nice, I want to give them business, it seems like they are about to go out of business since things are run down and they only accept cash. I also like how they give kids a apple for their thumb. But please dont stay open for apple picking if there are no apples to pick. We walked around for probably an hour or more set on finding a tree that still had apples available.

This place was a lot of fun for the family!!…read more I brought mine to Apple Hill to pick apples but the original spot that we wanted to visit was either very hard to find or didn't exist anymore. This was on our list to visit so we ended up going here instead, and I'm so glad we did! The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They handed us a map of where to pick apples and where the different types are located, then they pretty much told us to go crazy with picking apples. There weren't many ripe apples at the time we visited, but we still had a wonderful time being there to experience apple picking. The place feels rustic and huge with many apple tree variations to choose from, however, most of the trees were still young so there weren't a lot of shade for adults to hide under. So make sure you wear sunscreen and hats for protection during the day.

PLEASE COME HERE!! They make their apple cider donuts TO ORDER so they come out piping hot…read more Everything on their menu is homemade! We also got their corn dog and hot link corn dog to try, as well as their hot apple cider. I don't even like cake donuts, but something about a freshly made HOT donut will do something to you!! It was SO soft, hot, and had a good amount of cinnamon to it which I really appreciated. Get your own and don't share, you've been warned! The corn dog batter is delicious! Crispy on the outside and ever so slightly doughy on the inside while still being chewy and soft--it was so good! Not to mention the actual hot dog tasted like it was all beef, not sure if it was, but it definitely wasn't a Bar-S hot dog if you know what I mean! The hot link corn dog was my FAVORITE. Had a GREAT snap when bitten into and had a very small kick to it. I wish it was spicier but that's okay! I love a good corn dog. The hot apple cider was on the sweeter side, it was good on that chilly day but I most likely wouldn't get it again next time because it was a bit too sweet. You have to stop by Rainbow Orchards. Line moves fast and service is great. Also the trees everywhere make a great photo opportunity!

My 11 year old daughter and I came to the Ferry Building for a fun Mom and daughter morning. We hit the Rainbow Orchards stand first, for what was my first and sure to be last visit. We waited to the side while a customer who was there before us was helped, chatting about how much to get. That customer left, and he took the elderly guy who came after us first - no big deal. Then it was our turn and I asked him for 5 dollars worth and handed him a 20. I had 4 singles and a 20, and the choices were either 5 dollars worth, 8 dollars worth, or another amount I can't recall. He told my shy daughter snakily "Don't grow up to be a person who comes to the Farmer's Market and doesn't have exact change." It felt out of line for him to address her in that way. And, he's already complained about me not having exact change. Hey, either sell us the blueberries or don't, but were not here to be a sponge for your anger. So, I observed flatly, well, we don't have to buy anything. And he said, "yes, you do, because I already have your money." Okay, so another aggressive and weird response. I reached out to get the bag of blueberries, since evidently he was giving me no choice other than to buy them, and he backed up so they would be out of my reach. It was like the 4th rude thing he did that was unprovoked. I managed to get the bag and walk away, but he did ruin a chunk of our sweet trip to the Farmer's Market. I wonder how many shoppers had to deal with absorbing his hostility that day.

I wouldn't return here…read more For me, fruit picking is is about an abundance of fruit for a smaller price that we would pay at farmers market or the grocery store. This was neither. There were literally only 5 trees that had apples on them, and every apple had holes where birds had helped themselves. And they aren't even good apples. The apples I buy at Costco are yummier. And as if that wasn't disappointing enough, the charge for the apples...$30 for 7 pounds (and don't forget that it's really only 3-4 pounds because it have to cut off all the bad spots and compost them). I feel like I got swindled! The 2 stars are because the employees were very sweet. But they split up our group for like a half hour which was really upsetting for some of my friends who were split up from their kiddos. They might have apologized to someone about it, but considering they only had a few visitors, they could've done a much better job handling it.

Me not knowing the best time to pick is early September so all the apples were all picked off the trees so we were kind of bummed. So we decided to at least do something so we took a tractor ride that was only 10.00 for the family!! The ride was almost a half hour long!! We had the best chaperone aka Tractor Driver, Sydney. What a joy she was, so sweet!!! She even stopped the tractor and we walked down to visit and feed some chickens apples that have fallen off the trees, we even were able to eat a bunch of berries growing on a nearby bush. The boys had a blast, I HIGHLY recommend Sydney if you go on the tractor ride, made our visit so special!!

Genuinely thought it was going to be all hype - it's not! Share the walking apple pie between 2-4…read morepeople, it's more than enough! Got there at 4pm, they closed at 5pm that day. Only waited about 5 minutes until we ordered! Not sure why it's called a "walking apple pie" since you could really walk with any pie, sliced or whole. The crust on this was ever so slightly flaky while still having a good amount of doughiness that made it soft and enjoyable to eat. It wasn't too thick either which is what I assumed it would be! There is also an insane amount of apple inside, sliced on the thinner side but not overcooked at all. NOT skimpy, good cinnamon flavor and VERY delicious! I'm not even a fan of apple pie, so I was shocked I actually liked it! The vanilla ice cream on top definitely made the entire thing even more enjoyable--if I were to get this again I'd make sure to get an extra scoop. The contrast between the piping hot apple pie and the cold ice cream was so addicting and sweet in the best way. We also got the pumpkin cheesecake. I'd pass on this. Didn't have much of a pumpkin flavor and I felt like the cheesecake was lacking overall. The graham cracker crust is buttery and soft which I appreciated, and they top the cheesecake with what tasted like a sugar crumble on top which I also liked. Overall the cheesecake was creamy and smooth but nothing special. I wouldn't get this again, simply for the fact that if you're labeling something as "pumpkin cheesecake" and the first word is pumpkin, I want to be punched in the face with pumpkin flavor, however my friend did enjoy it because he loves cheesecake. Service was great, the views were phenomenal. They also have real bathrooms here. Definitely stop by!
