The first time we stayed at one of their smallest rooms and this recent time we stayed at the Penthouse. I didn't understand that it has a lot of stairs to go up to the Penthouse, so just an FYI if you can't do stairs this is not recommended bc it's a lot of steps. It is very spacious and you have a shower and full bathroom attached to the space and it has a day bed and a pull out couch. The pillows were sprayed with fabreeze and I'm very sensitive to stuff like that so it was not a pleasant feeling. I wish I would have brought my own pillow cases but i forgot them. Overall we would definitely stay here again, we would just not get the Penthouse again.

I opted to leave the DND on the door for my four nights and it was honored. The beds were fine enough that I slept on one for two nights and rather than have the housekeeping come in, I simply switched to the other for the other two nights. Breakfast was standard Hampton. Eggs or a pre-made omelet of some sort, a breakfast meat, breads for toasting, yogurts, fruit, juices and some pastries. The breakfast area was clean. Other than sharing a small plaza with a Denny's and a gas station/pizza place, there is nothing within walking distance. There is lots in downtown Marshall that's only a mile or two away. In the morning, it was also very loud and we could hear all the cars driving by on the main road. The bed was large and spacious, but when we woke up, we were pretty sore from sleeping on it all night. Its not a typical hotel, as it doesn't have a pool, breakfast, etc. but it was very clean, which is hard to find in a hotel sometimes so I will give them that.

The pillows were quite comfy, which is saying something as I've been unable to find a pillow that both supports and is comfortable since my spinal fusion. The bathroom was very spacious and we had room to have one of us in the shower, another using the facilities, and another using the sink. Our only complaint was that the motel placed a $100 hold on the card for incidentals on top of the room charges, which caused issues with our credit union. Other than that, highly recommended!

When asking the front desk if housekeeping could please replace them, the same rude desk clerk proceeded to hand us the sheets and we were told it was up to us to put on the bed. Our cabin was right across from the lake and the cabin was very clean and had everything you needed for a great stay. I would definitely go to this place again and Kaylee was very accommodating with anything I had questions about before my stay. they also had 3 kayaks, a paddle boat and a rowboat to use for free and they all worked well. on our last night there the owners showed up with some new furniture for the beach also. we didn't see anything wrong with the furniture that was there.

Sooney, the owner, and her family live in an attached house and are very friendly and accommodating. There's a pool and jacuzzi next to the house, and 2 fire pits for warmth and s'mores.
