Burger was amazing. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Fries were seasoned well. I was with a party of 16 and the service was phenomenal and everyone was happy with their food.

My husband and I try to support small, locally owned businesses, and we try to return frequently. Unfortunately, Hank's will not be on that list. We were seated immediately by the hostess, but she seemed annoyed that she was even there. Our server started off so strong, but by the end, she was lackluster. I will say, she was friendly and I want to give her kudos for that. She may have been over-sat quickly because when we arrived, there were plenty of tables. By the time we left, there were none. So I have to give her grace, too. Now to the food. It was ok. $16 for 6 small crab bites was a bit pricey, especially considering they were a little larger than the size of a large gumball. They had good flavor, and the dip was great, but the price still didn't justify the portion size. My husband ordered the grilled chicken with Brussels sprouts and a side salad. The side salad was a decent size, which is a good thing because the grilled chicken was a butterfly filet about the size of my hand. (I'm only 5'4"... I have tiny hands!) The Brussels sprouts were fried and glazed with maple (I think? There was something sweet on them...). My husband is 6'3" & has an appetite. This barely filled the bill. It was $20 for his meal. Again, good flavor, but not worth $20. I ordered fish and chips for my meal. The filet was much larger than my husband's chicken, but it was definitely frozen and not "fresh". It lacked any kind of seasoning or flavor & came with a handful of fries. It was slightly more reasonable at $16, but I've seen much fresh, flavorful, heartier portions served for that price or better. Overall, good location, decent staff, overpriced food. It's a "will not return" for us.

While in Columbus decided to stop by and the experience was pleasant, good customer service, food quick and delicious. Wine was good too. Definitely recommended.

This place is somewhere between a dive bar and a sports bar. Good sports bar style appetizers. I wouldn't recommend getting the oysters raw - not very meaty or briney, lacking flavor for sure. The sweet Thai chili wings were good. The Cajun fries are definitely a must try. Our server was great. They went by Charlie and were super attentive and even made recommendations to help guide us when we had doubts

Omg!!! As soon as you walk into this place a pungent smell hits you. It smelled like old mop water or as if the place had been flooded before. I still can't believe I stayed and dined here but I know it's because my friend's mentioned how great the food was. Despite the smell, our service was top notch and the shrimp & grits were quite tasty.

Greasy burger, hot sweet tea, wrong sides, breading on shrimp was flacky. Out of basicly everything else. Never again. Service was meh.

Quick and friendly service from Eli. Food prices were average. Drinks were a little high though. Atmosphere was good.

Was told by my colleagues that the Parker house rolls and cinnamon butter was great. I had the summer salad (spring greens, cherries, strawberries, and a HUGE knot of burrata cheese, with an additional grilled salmon). This salad was incredible. Highly recommend! The table shared some deviled eggs. The pickled onions on the deviled eggs was so good. Everyone dipped their fries in the chili crisp oil and agreed it was one of the best flavor combos of the trip. Our server gave us an extra side of it and gave my friend a side of kimchi to add to his burger. Just great all around service and vibe. While the restaurant feels like the height of 2015-2020 design (let's road trip in our sprinter van to a shipping container cottage!), everything feels airy and good to be there

The hostess was warm and efficient, seating us immediately. Our server approached with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her craft--she was direct, professional, and all business in the best possible way. Even as closing time drew near, she kept my glass refreshed without needing to be asked, a small but telling detail that spoke volumes about her attentiveness. The space itself strikes a pleasant semi-formal note--clean, polished, and respectful without veering into stuffy territory. Behind the bar, the bartender was meticulously wiping down every bottle, a quiet display of care that set a tone of genuine pride in the operation. We began with a dozen oysters: six raw and six char-grilled. The raw specimens were on the petite side for the price, yet delivered a clean, bright, and pleasantly saline flavor that let the oyster speak for itself. The char-grilled version arrived with a savory Parmesan crust that brought its own appealing character--rich, cheesy, and nicely caramelized in a way that felt unique rather than derivative. The crab dip, however, was a standout. Far superior to the often disappointing versions we've encountered elsewhere, this one tasted of genuine lump crab meat, folded into a properly cheesy, indulgent dip that avoided any unfortunate "buffalo" detours. Served with crisp crostini, each bite was balanced and deeply satisfying--an authentic crab dip done right. The Korean cheesesteak offered an excellent harmony of flavors: tender, well-seasoned meat beneath a luxurious blanket of melted cheese, punctuated by the bright, spicy kick of kimchi and the refreshing snap of pickles. It was delicious, though for the price, I wished for a more generous filling and a bit more heft to the sandwich overall. The mac & cheese arrived in a commendably generous portion, with a beautiful Parmesan crust on top. Visually appealing, the dish unfortunately fell a touch flat on the palate. The noodles were properly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce, yet it lacked the depth and seasoning one hopes for-- a pinch more salt and pepper would have elevated it considerably. The fish and chips presented a towering mound of fries that carried decent flavor but lacked the shattering crispness one craves. The real disappointment lay in the presentation of the fish: two fillets stacked atop one another, causing the steaming heat to turn the once-promising breading soggy and prone to sliding off. That said, the fish itself was excellent--flaky, moist, and delicately sweet with a lovely buttery quality. It was the unfortunate interaction between steam and crust that kept the dish from greatness. The roads were a little dense, so not necessarily my particular style, but I'm good. The butter that came with them was very unique to say the least. To drink, both beers arrived filled to the absolute brim and proved so enjoyable that I would gladly order them again without hesitation. Overall, the evening delivered solid, thoughtful plates in a well-run environment, with several bright spots that make a return visit tempting--particularly for those oysters and that excellent crab dip.

I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
