Just had carpeting done upstairs this last week. It took them two days and they complained about how it wasn't their job to take the drawers out of the chester drawers among other things. They was going to leave the job unfinished if a friend of mine hadn't stepped in and told them that they couldn't leave it like that for another week since my mom would had to stay at the local motel during that time which she couldn't have done. I had to pick up after them when they left the first night where they left scraps and thier trash in the house. When I asked them to run the vacuum cleaner to remove the scraps of carpet left behind after the job was done. They refused and said that it was my job to do that. They did move the furniture back in the house. read more

I needed an area rug for our bedroom. I had looked at several of the places in Dalton and couldn't find one to my liking. We looked at several rugs at Hank's. Dan was great to work with at Hanks and was very helpful with picking out affordable flooring for our estate remodel project. However, the contractor sent out (Giovanni) was the opposite. He did not meet his deadlines, was dishonest and left extra work for us to complete. We also had to scrub scuffs off of freshly painted walls in eveey room and scrap floor glue off of the newly installed vinyl floors...it was tracked throughout the house during the install. I would recommend requesting not to have him sent out. read more

We had a glitch with our original installer for our carpet and Hank came through for us by lining up a replacement installer the next day. Very happy with Hank and installation crew. It pays to be patient and let the business work out an unexpected problem instead of jumping the gun and leaving a bad review. Problems happen. We are very happy with the final result. read more

I am very pleased with every step of the process. I found high quality products at very affordable prices. We planned to order carpet online from a wholesaler to get more affordable prices than a local box store could offer. I explored many different companies websites and I like Hank's Carpet's website the best. I appreciated the fact that the website listed carpet quality specifications and data (like face weight) for each product. I could get a sense of the quality before ordering a sample. Samples are free, easy to order, and were delivered pretty quickly. Samples were a standard size, perhaps 6x6 inches. I ended up working with Hank himself and appreciated his concise and to the point manner. It was easy and efficient to place an order over the phone. Because we weren't local and were looking to save some money on shipping we opted to pick up the carpet roll and pad from a shipping terminal. Hank's Carpet ships all across the country. I hadn't done anything like that before so Hank explained the process and provided me with the shipping company's contact information in case I had more questions the day of pickup. It all went smoothly. I had a question about the product after delivery and Hank promptly investigated the question and got back to me with a detailed response. It was nice to feel like a valued customer. He did not brush off my question. I appreciated the clarification and am very satisfied with both the carpet pad and carpet itself. Stay away from Hank's Capet & Flooring! On June 16th, I called to place an order with Hank's Carpet & Flooring and the sale person rushed me off the phone and didn't accept my order. I called back a week later and the sale person wasn't sure what happened and blamed the heat. He took my order and scheduled installation for 7/9. He told me he would call me on 7/8 to take payment. On 7/8, I never received a phone called so I called to confirm the installation. The sale person confirmed the installation would happen on 7/9. The installer never showed or called. read more

I wouldn't give these guys one star but I had to pick something. We went into their warehouse to look at carpet for our stairs, hallway & living room. When we walked in no one acknowledged us so I approached an employee who told me I could go look at rolls in the back. He said he'd be back there after he finished something up but he never came back. I walked back to the front of the building and got his attention. We had to walk clear to the back to show him the carpet then back up front to figure out the price for the carpet, pad & install. I asked to schedule someone to come out & measure since the measurements I took were pretty rough (I had my 4 year old assist in holding it). He took my info & I took an afternoon off work so someone could come measure. No one ever showed up. I called & no one had a clue about what to do. There was no apology or attempt to send someone to come out to measure before they closed that evening. Don't waste your money/time here! read more

Our builder uses Hank's carpet because I'm sure he has found the best pricing for flooring. However, when I, the home buyer was told to visit the place, I found the service to be lacking considerably. No one asked whether they could assist me, and I had to ask to speak to someone who could help me. They referred me to an older gentleman to took me to a warehouse with unimpressive floor samples. The samples were limited and many looked the same quality. I wasn't informed or offered any catalogs or books from which to order. Although I'm in my sixties, was neatly dressed and am well educated, I was treated as if they weren't interested in my business. I was left in the warehouse to look over their inventory - again limited. When the gentleman returned a while later, he asked if I found anything. I showed him a couple of carpets I was interested in for my guest bedrooms. He then asked how much I was willing to spend. The prices were clearly listed on the carpet, and I was more interested in quality and some style of which they had little in the warehouse. I politely stated that I would get back to him and left.
