Absolute garbage sheet vinyl! Do not buy it. Spent $300 for the product and $300 for shipping. This vinyl flooring rips and tares if you need to move kitchen appliances. I have so many indents in my floor from everything that has been sitting, you can see any nails underneath in the floorboards and god forbid you drop something. This company does not provide specific installation manuals, I requested one repeatedly and after much delay I was sent a generic manual from Google. We had no idea what products and techniques would be best to use to keep this flooring intact. Probably would have been worthless anyway considering the poor quality. Just installed this flooring in the spring and it already needs replaced. So much time and money down the drain. I came across Carpet express on the Internet. I ordered a sample to be sent to me in California. The project was for kitchen and we were at the point in which it could not move forward without the flooring I immediately ordered a sample. I received a confirmation on Monday from Debra Collins. The sample did not come. I called a week later and spoke with Debra Collins. She checked on my order and said to me that sample did not get mailed out until Friday. Carpet Express salesman said that they thoroughly and officially inspected the carpet, but it still arrived damaged throughout the roll and discolored. The color changed as you unrolled the carpet and there were dark damage lines all the way down the entire roll. Refused to refund or exchange unless I pay for return shipping AGAIN and of course roll up package wrap and personally deliver to the shipping terminal. I did a chargeback instead, so the owner Mike said he will lie to the credit card and tell them that I was told about the damage. Meanwhile I have all emails from the salesman that inspections were being done, and not a word is mentioned anywhere that I'm supposed to be receiving anything other than a good product, consistent in color and without manufacturing damage. Now I'm out the money for the carpet and for wasted labor charges. They're crooks. Absolutely avoid Carpet Express at all cost. read more

Our initial experience at carpet express was pretty positive. Melissa helped to educate me on various flooring options for our rental property. She was patient, helpful, and answered all of my questions. We checked out other flooring companies and finally decided on carpet express' luxury vinyl plank offering. So now it was time for the ordering process. It ALL went CRASHING down from here. I placed my order to be delivered directly to the rental property, as Melissa specifically inquired with me to make sure an 18 wheeler wouldn't have an issue getting to the driveway. On install day, my installers were on site, but I had not heard anything regarding delivery. So I called Melissa and she indicated the flooring had been delivered to Atlanta and was at the warehouse. So I called the warehouse. They asked what day I wanted the flooring delivered "NEXT WEEK!" Ummmm I have guys on site NOW. So the warehouse rep went and checked to see if a driver was available. Nope. Long story short on this, my installer went and picked up the flooring from the warehouse so they could begin. So now, the trim order was placed separately as we were waiting on the measurements from the installer. The day I'm expecting the trim to arrive, I call Melissa and ask for an update. She had none of my tracking info and once she finally got in touch with the manufacturing company that was sending the trim, she discovered that they had not even shipped it out yet. And you'd think things couldn't possibly get any worse, but the trim arrives...installer calls me....it's the WRONG COLOR!! Omg! At this point, Melissa has stopped communicating with me and turned me over to their claims person and the service manager, Benji. Benji was apologetic and they don't know why I ended up having so many issues with my order, but to make things right, Benji offered to have an installer they work with to finish the job on their dime. Great - really appreciate that, Benji! I get in touch with the installer and he's tied up for days on another project, but he promises to get out there soon! He finally arrives, calls me and said all the materials weren't there.....that we were missing part of the order and that he didn't want to start a job he couldn't finish. I ended up going out to the home myself...and what do you know?? All the pieces were there....he miscounted. He also said he was under the impression that it would be "a few pieces" to install and not an entire house. You want to know what I think? I think he showed up, realized it was more work than he thought, and just made up some excuse to get out of the job. Guys, my experience with Carpet Express was awful and has caused us to lose out on a lot of money. In the end, Benji has not followed back up with me to see where we stand or how he could once again, try to make things right. So here I am, back to square 1. My installer is unavailable to finish the job and Carpet Express' installer flaked out on us. I, 100%, would not recommend doing business with Carpet Express. read more

I had already picked out my carpet, but the local installers/sellers wanted way too much for the carpet and the work. I found the carpet I wanted at Carpet Express and Alex was great with helping me get it ordered and shipped. A few minor SNAFU's with getting my receipt generated for insurance, but seriously MINOR. The most difficult part of the experience was with the shipping vendor they used, SAIA. My roll of carpet (approximately 1000 lbs) was all the way in the back of the semi and the driver had no help and no equipment to get it to the entrance. He argued with my contractor and said my contractor was refusing the shipment if they couldn't manage to get it off the truck somehow (I was not present). I called the shipping company and no one returned my call. Fortunately, my contractor got it sorted out and my carpet is BEAUTIFUL. So yay for Carpet Express, not so much for their shipping company. read more

Save your time and hassle...skip carpet express... I purchased a good mohawk carpet ($32/sq yd) from CarpetExpress.com on 8/13/2018. The salesman was very helpful and the transaction was smooth. Thats were everything good stopped. * I received the carpet on 8/18/2018 and it was defective, it had stains throughout the rug and the pile was missing all over the rug among other things. I contacted carpet express and sent them pictures. * On 8/21/2018 I received an email stating the claim was approved and they would be ordering me a new carpet. * On 9/4/2018 I received an email stating the new carpet did not pass inspection at their warehouse. CarpetExpress said they will reorder a new carpet for me AGAIN. * On 9/11/2018 I received an email from CarpetExpress stating that the second replacement carpet did not pass inspection at their warehouse AGAIN. * On 9/25/2018 I received an email from CarpetExpress stating that the new carpet was short. At this point I cancelled my order and contacted texascarpets.net shared my horror story and sent him pictures. He said that he had NEVER seen this happen on first quality carpet. On 9/28 I order the same carpet through texascarpets.net for a similar price and on 10/2 I received my carpet and it was installed in my home with no issues. The moral of this story is to avoid carpetexpress.com unless you want the hassle. I would recommend you buy your carpet from texascarpets.net where you'll get a great price, fast shipping and excellent customer service. UPDATE 10/3/2018: I received a call from Carpet Express today after posting this review. They assured me that they were selling me first quality carpet and apologized for the problems that occurred. They said they will be sending me a letter from Mohawk confirming this. We drove 4 hours roundtrip to Carpet Express and picked out 160 square yards of 60 oz carpet for 9.99. The salesman said he was giving us a great deal because that quality of carpet would normally go for 16.99 a square yard. He referred us to his installer, but we chose someone who had 30 years of experience. Our installer laid down the padding and then started to roll out the 160 square yards of carpet when he noticed it was damaged. We called Carpet Express who said to leave the carpet and they would have someone pick it up. Two men show up in a moving truck with only a dolly that had two flat tires. My husband and son spent two hours helping them get 160 yards of carpet back on truck using our equipment. This was during the peak of COVID-19 and they had no mask or gloves on. I am a recent cancer survivor and had to quarantine from my own family. Carpet Express said they laid it out overnight and they did not see anything wrong with it. Our installer went to Carpet Express the next morning and said the damage was still there and they did not have the room to lay out 160 yards of carpet. My husband spent many hours calling and emailing trying to resolve this issue. They could not find any 60 oz carpet in that price range and offered to reduce the original 60 oz carpet by 1.99 a square yard. This pretty much tells us that they know it is defective. My husband drove roundtrip again to Carpet Express and was offered a lessor quality, much more expensive carpet with only a 5% discount for all our trouble. I guess they felt we were stuck with them, but we went somewhere else and are getting a 55 oz carpet at a much better price with no defects. My husband was much more patient with them than I would have been. He was nice to them throughout this whole experience hoping he would get better customer service. Don't waste your time with Carpet Express, they don't care. read more

The staff at Carpet Express were super and very efficient with my order. However, the trucking company they use (Express Global) to ship my carpeting, was a disaster - 10 days to get my shipment? Every conceivable problem that could go wrong, went wrong in the shipping. Manifests were not accurate, ETA's were inaccurate, driver(s) late, etc..., etc... In the end, twice my crew had to go to the receiving terminal, which was 90 minutes from me, and twice they were told that the shipment information was wrong. What had been a savings from Carpet Express, turned into an extra $350 cost to me for the extra transportation costs and time of my crew. Carpet Express really needs to review their truck shipping vendors. Also, after all of the delays and extra costs, I requested some monetary compensation from Carpet Express, but they refused on the grounds that they "have no control over the shipping truck company". read more

We had carpet & linoleum shipped to our home. Had both installed while we were at work (we have to work for pay for carpet & linoleum, naturally). Wrong linoleum shipped (looked like wallpaper or shelf-liner). Our guy already installed it before we got home from work. All Carpet Express would do is pay for 2nd choice linoleum and shipping. Wouldn't reimburse for reinstallment. Said it was partly our responsibility since we had it installed though it was the wrong linoleum. (The linoleum was wrapped in a hard yellow plastic - couldn't see through it). Like I said, we have to work to pay for these things and depend on honesty and responsibility from everyone involved. Completely disappointed in service after the sale. Will never trust them again and will never recommend them to anyone. read more
