We stopped in at Hanks Corner Grille on our way to The Caverns for a concert. My wife and I had the burgers and house cut fries. The burger was great and could tell it was fresh the condiments (lettuce tomato and pickles) fresh too. The fries were delicious I would definitely recommend the house cut fries. My daughter had the wings with Hanks sauce and she said they were delicious. Her friend had the barbecue loaded baked potato and said the barbecue was good. They had a few local crafts on tap and then several can options. The appearance of this place on the inside contrast the outside. The outside you might get the impression it is a biker bar or locals bar kind of place. Inside is more friendly feeling and laid back. The waitress was very sweet and helpful too. My daughter ordered a flight of margaritas and she said they were stout so they didn't hold back on the liquor. What a hidden gem of a place! Great food and even better service! The fried mushrooms are homemade and amazing! I had the dbl burger with mushrooms, swiss, bacon, and sauteed onions. I just moved to the area, and was looking for places to eat. I found Hank's Corner, and I love it! This is a family owned and operated bar/restaurant. The food is good and taste, and the patrons and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have kareoke on Thursdays, Steak Night in Friday's, and sometimes have live bands on the weekend. Hanks is a neat little place with a really relaxed environment, good quality food. My buddy had the ribeye and loved it. Great hamburgers and wings as well. Reasonable prices even on the drinks. Special seafood nights with oysters and crab depending on the day of the month (follow them on Facebook for detailed info). However, be forewarned... if they are busy you will wait a long time. We waited over 30 minutes to have our order taken and then at least another 50 minutes before we were served, but everything was hot, fresh, and very good. Small community = overwhelmed with only two waitresses when out of towners roll in, just don't be in a hurry go with good friends and enjoy the drinks and company and you'll have a great experience at Hanks. read more

Best Steaks in Marion County or Grundy County..! FRESH LOCAL BEEF..! Only on Friday Nights, unless They have some left over on Saturday..! That is a Rarity because of the crowd on Friday nights..! They also have Fresh Raw Oysters and Crab Legs occasionally. call ahead for when they get them in Fresh..! They also have the Standard fate of Food and Beer, but they are working on a Wine and Alcohol..! Most of the Ladies I Date are not Beer Drinkers...so I usually go by myself to Hank's..! Having only BEER simply attracts Beer Drinkers...and I have never seen the "Beer Drinkers" order a Steak..! So a Full Alcohol License would bring in a more diverse Clientele as it usually does..! My friend and her parents and I went hiking in the area, wanted to get something to eat before heading back to Nashville. The set up was totally social distanced and the service was amazing. Owners were awesome people and extremely friendly. Soldier burger was an 11/10, would definitely recommend splitting it! Great atmosphere. Will be back. read more

I would not recommend this place at all!!! We ordered hamburgers and what we thought were fries but instead got cut up mini potatoes, which were very plain and cold. From the time we walked through the doors and until we got our food was over an hour. We had been waiting for our food order for over 45 minutes so we asked another server what was taking so long and they said they would check on it. During this time two people that came in after us by about 20 minutes had already received their food. A lady finally brings us our food and says we checked your ticket and it has only been 40 minutes but it has been a hectic day for us. 40 minutes to make 2 hamburgers???? There were many empty tables while we were there so it was not like they were swamped and they had a limited menu to order from so should not have taken that long. Not to mention the couple behind us had their hamburgers within 20 minutes so why double the time for us? The hamburgers were nothing to brag about - just plain old hamburgers which were overpriced for the size of what you got! In addition, the service was the worst we ever received from a restaurant - no drink refills, no one asking if our food was ok or if we needed anything and it even took time to get our check as we had to ask for it! Rosie Farmhouse Kitchen is a much better place to eat and they provide much better service. No need to go back to Hanks! We definitely will not be back nor recommend this place to any of our friends!! read more

Genuinely confused how this place has a five star rating. I felt bad for the poor waitress. She was running around trying to serve way too many people at once. I think they were short-staffed, so the service was super slow. The pizza tasted like it was a frozen pizza, maybe one notch better. The fries pickles were delicious, and the portion was huge, but then again, it's hard to mess up a fried pickle with ranch. As far as the ambiance, I did love the small-town feel. I have eaten here several times and it is awesome, the service is genuinely friendly you can tell they like their job and it shows , that means good management and owners. The food is delicious ,fresh and flavorful . It's priced fairly. They try to source local too. Everything on the menu is good, for serious. We stayed in the tiny home community nearby and saw the great reviews. The locals also recommend this place. The atmosphere is great for conversation. We started with the cheese curds (excellent) and both of us had the ribeye steaks and baked potatoes. This meal was outstanding! Our waitress was very personable and attentive. My husband and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night. Our service was amazing. The owners stopped and talked with us for a while when we asked for other recommendations in the area. Very nice people, who told us a bit about their restaurant. So many things are handmade - not out of a bag or using a mix. I had the breaded wings in Hanks sauce. My husband had the soldier burger and we split loaded fried pickles. It was a ton of food, and we didn't finish. The loaded fried pickles were really tasty. I'd never heard of bacon and cheese on fried pickles, but it was good. The wings were over the top good. I was nervous about breaded wings, but they were just very lightly breaded - the perfect amount to help the sauce stick. And Hanks's sauce is a must have. Get it on everything! The soldier burger was huge, and my husband kept commenting on all the different flavors it had going on. Overall, we highly recommend Hanks. read more

In town to see DSO at The Caverns. Stopped in for a late lunch/early supper. I had the filet, my spouse had the ribeye. Both were extraordinary. Baked potato side, cooked perfectly. Bar keep recommended the top two sellers, both from a local brewery. Both the porter and IPA drafts were bang on delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant..when visiting the area or when taking in a show at the Caverns. This is the best restaurant we've enjoyed for a long time. Thank you to the owners and workers.
