They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later. It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

I hired AWS Solar to install solar panels on my home In May 2026. They completed the job a few…read moreweeks later. They did a very good jod. I am pleased. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

Extremely Disappointing Experience ....Do Not Recommend…read more Stay away from this company. Our experience with their planning, installation, communication, knowledge, follow-up, and overall workmanship was extremely disappointing. Our project took more than six months or more to complete, and even after the installation, the problems continued. They left remnants and debris in our backyard that have now been there for two months, and despite our requests, they still have not properly cleaned up. We are now being asked to close their file even though outstanding issues remain. The project itself was poorly managed. Their plans had to be changed half dozen times just to pass inspection, which raised serious concerns about the quality and planning of the work. At this point, we are not even confident that we fully understand what was installed on our roof, and we remain concerned about the possibility of future leaks or other problems related to the installation. They also made a significant mess along the side of our house while installing the lines. We had to specifically point out how bad it looked and insist that they change it. Communication and follow-up were also extremely frustrating. There were times when workers simply did not show up, and the overall experience felt disorganized from beginning to end. After everything we experienced, we cannot recommend this company or anyone associated with them for design or installation work. If you are considering using them, we strongly recommend doing your research and getting multiple opinions before moving forward. Our experience was messy, stressful, poorly managed, and far from what we expected from a professional installation company.

We found another person to work on the system and discovered that because we had not done maintenance on the generac, our warranty was void! as a result we have spent a small fortune replacing our generator and linking it to our enphase system. I should note that our home is off-grid permanently. it's not a backup for when the power goes out. there is no electric grid in our community. do not do business with Eric Helgeson. Hes a con man, a crook and a thief!

But…read moresince my particular project was for batteries adding onto existing solar panels that they did not originally install, I figured I can give my perspective with the service they provided. Without making this review long and boring, let me just say Eric the owner, Rich the office manager and Zach the lead installer (and the rest of the crew) was great to work with from beginning to end. I was anticipating that there might be some issues adding batteries on to an existing system, with not only the installation itself, but with the approval process from Edison and the city. But Eric, Rich and Zach worked as a great coordinated team to get through any obstacles that came up. Anyone who's been through any type of home construction/remodel knows that nothing is perfect. But it's how the people you hired responds to those hiccups to make things perfect, is what counts the most. And I can honestly say NexGen exceeded expectations. In regards to value, Eric is upfront and says they are not the cheapest, but they are certainly not the most expensive either. So when it comes to my peace of mind, I'd gladly pay a little more. Go ahead and give them a call, I certainly will when I want to add even more batteries

We wish we had known about Urban Energy before our solar panels were originally installed. Mark, Raul, Tim, and the entire team were wonderful to work with and helped restore our system to full operation. After several years, the original mounting brackets failed, resulting in a roof leak and mold issue. We were fortunate to find Urban Energy during our roof replacement. Their team carefully removed all 33 panels and worked closely with our roofing contractor to ensure a smooth, coordinated process. Mark was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient in explaining the factors affecting our system, including how the panels should have been installed to account for their weight and proper roof support. He helped us understand where the original installation had fallen short and what was needed to correct it. We also discovered that our inverter had not been working for some time. Although it was still under warranty, it was nearly impossible for us as homeowners to reach SolarEdge. Raul went above and beyond, spending significant time securing the replacement inverter and getting the system running again. We highly recommend Mark and the entire Urban Energy team for their expertise, responsiveness, and care.

The guys did a great job installing the inverter and cleaned everything up before leaving. Mark and everyone were great at answering my questions in terms that were easily understood. Overall, one of the best experiences I have had with contractors. I would highly recommend Urban Energy Solar.

Hank was AMAZING! We had my daughter's 5th Birthday party at the beach and we hired Hank to be a pirate. He showed up out of nowhere and the entire party was surprised. I hired him to entertain the kids but was pleasantly surprised that he had EVERYONE at the party up out of the seats and participating in all the fun he brought to the party! The adults absolutely loved his character! It was the best investment I made for the party and will definitely be contacting Hank for future events. Spectacular!!! From my first call with Hank, when I asked him if he could perform as Thor at my son's 5th Birthday I knew it was going to be a great party! He was excited and energetic and he definitely exceeded my expectations. Hank arrived at the party in full character and did not break the entire 90 performance. He had the full Thor vocabulary and was very believable. The kids absolutely loved him and the adults including myself were laughing the entire time. Hank was amazing!!!! As Spiderman he captivated and kept entertained 30 rambunctious 3-7 year olds for 1.5 hours. They laughed, ran through a superhero obstacle course, learned special superhero power skills and took down a candy stealing villain with silly string and their super strength. Staying in character the entire time, not one of the children ever thought to ask if he was "real" or not. Hank stayed to take the most adorable pics with my children, a little Spidey and the Green Lantern. I was at a birthday party where Hank was a ninja and since he arrived he stayed in character, and you felt he was a real ninja, his accent was hilarious! Not only he engaged the kids but all the adults too. It was so fun and also all the kids who were at the park but not part of the party wanted to join the group. He nonstop did lots of activities. There were other parties at the park too but they looked so boring, just sitting eating and looking at phones - but our party was so active and exciting. I hired Hank as Darth Vader for my sons 7th birthday party. I cannot say enough good things about him. The communication prior to the event was excellent and Hank arrived on time and ready to entertain. He made my son feel really special, even though he was a little shy and reserved. Absolutely recommend Richard!!…read more He hosted the Adventure Magic Show for my sons' joint birthday party (age 4 and age 8, birth dates only 4 days apart). It was held at a public outdoor park, where we reserved a large picnic shelter. We had 49 kids attending, 80% boys, ages ranging 3.5y to 10y. Richard was able to keep all our kids (and parents) engaged for the entire 1h show and professionally navigated mini-challenges (such as one kid decided to be funny and said Boo!, another kid found a basketball and had it in the crowd), and he was so skilled at delivering both the magic in a fun and educational manner, keeping it light and funny through the minor interruptions from the kids, and having all the kids participate. Our birthday boys were also guests of the show and were delighted to participate. As the host of the party, I received raving comments from both kids and parents about Richard. Some kids wanted him to be at their own birthday parties. I also received comments from parents that their kids had seen magic shows at school and parties, and almost getting bored of them (the parents roll their eyes and say the kids are spoiled these days LOL!) BUT they really liked Richard. I wanted to highlight these in the review because they are the honest truth! Richard created such a great memory for our boys and for the guests of the party. Leading up the event, Richard was extremely communicative from Day 1. I had never hired a magician before for a birthday party and this was the biggest one I've thrown for my kids, so I had questions and anxiety. He answered all my questions with great detail, and his communications were so easy to read. It was obvious he had great experience with events because he gave me a lot of assurances and told me all the logistics I needed to know for a successful event. At the time I had contacted other magicians that I found on the internet or through recos, but weirdly I didn't get any responses from them! Maybe they aren't doing shows anymore .... but I booked Richard mainly due to his thorough communications! He also sends on frequent reminders leading up the event, making sure we are both on the same page. His emails also include pictures of his setup so we know exactly what to expect when he arrives. We are 100% pleased with Richard -- both from a communications/planning perspective and his ability to work with kids and keep them engaged/awed/entertained. The adults had fun watching too, which was a perk.
