Mark and Keith installed two Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries and a main panel replacement to my existing SunPower solar panels. They work great and have a nice app with an easy to understand diagram to see and change all on the system. They worked through the requirements of the county and SCE and had all approved on first inspections. I also used them to move a SunPower system during a reroofing on an industrial building.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Urban Energy! From start to finish our solar installation was easy and seamless. We worked with Mark who helped us select the Sun Power A400 series solar panels, a superior product to other panels on the market and also carrying the best solar warranty in the industry with a 25 year warranty. Urban Energy handled everything with our city permit, from drafting and submitting plans and meeting with the city inspector for our final approval. It took the crew just 2.5 days to install our 26 panel system. The installation was super smooth and the installation crew was extremely professional and tidy. I could not believe how quick and fast the entire process was. Everyone we worked with at Urban Energy was knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. From start to finish we always felt like we were in good hands and knew we made the right decision selecting Urban Energy above other solar companies. We are so thrilled to go green with our solar panels and feel confident with Sun Powers solar panels longevity and reliability. And of course we love the sleek and clean look of our panels as well! I included a few photos, excuse the cobwebs as we are decorated for Halloween.

Absolutely freaking fantastic company to work with for all your residential solar needs! Was going to get my solar system installed by Tesla Energy formerly known as Solar City but a brief chat with Keith, one of Urban Energy's sales representatives convinced me to go with a superior and more aesthetically pleasing product from SunPower. Look it up SunPower is in a different league when it comes to efficiency and degradation. Trust me it is a far superior product than anything that is being offered by the other guys. In addition Keith kept pricing very competitive versus their competitors. I am glad that I made this decision. Their installation crew headed by Tim was top notch. Never did I hear the guys swear and we're absolutely professionally every single minute they were at my home. With little kids around the house this is important for me. They installation was super tidy and clean, the city inspector even commented on how professional the installation looked. Fast forward a few days past my installation, I had a few questions and it was Sunday. I decided to call and most probably leave a voicemail, but do you know what happened??? Mark, the owner picked up on a Sunday morning and answered all my questions! Geez, how awesome. Easy peasy decision to make if your are looking to get your system installed! Go with Urban Energy!

I began looking into solar in the beginning of August 2016 after my wife an I bought an EV. I started with some of the big named companies that advertise on the radio, went through Yelp, and even asked for some recommendations from friends. I received estimates from four companies and talked to many others over the phone. I researched everything I could find and in the end, every solar company that I dealt with left me some unanswered questions. Whether it was about experience, product, warranty, output, installation timeline....you name it, I was never confident enough to sign on for solar, probably because it was such a big and permanent investment. Then I spoke to Keith W. with Urban Energy. By far, Keith was the most knowledgeable of any of the sales representatives that I had spoken to. Over a period of a couple of weeks, Keith spent about 4 hours with me on the phone, exchanged multiple emails, and presented several different options. Always responsive to my requests, Keith would send me photographs, spec sheets, pricing, layout options, and much more. He contacted my local energy provider and determined the maximum system size allowed (including the future needs of my recently purchased EV). Satisfied, I signed with Urban Energy Solar sometime in mid September 2016. I purchased and did not lease. I went with: 26 LG Neon 2, 315 Watt panels 1 Solaredge Inverter 26 Solaredge Power Optimizers Estimated output about 12,200 kWh annually. Urban Energy handled all of the permits and plan submission with the city and my local power company and submitted paperwork on my behalf for a direct rebate from the power company. The office kept me informed throughout the process and within about five weeks they were out at my house to install the system. It took about 2 1/2 days to get the system completely installed on the roof, the side of my house, and in my garage (inverter). The installation went smooth and the guys (Raul especially) were polite and professional. I was impressed with the fit and finish of their work. All stucco, drywall, and electrical was repaired and painted to match the original finish and they cleaned up (daily) any debris that was caused during the installation phase. After the city, fire department, and power company signed off on the system, I began generating solar power in the first week of November. Since the system was activated, I have spoken to Mark M (owner) on several occasions to resolve an issue with internet/app monitoring of my solar system via the Solaredge website. Mark was very responsive to my questions and worked with me until the issue was resolved. Everyone at the company was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend talking to Urban Energy about your solar needs.

Went with Urban Energy to support a local business and have support close by if I ever needed it. We are owning a Cliff May house, so installing a PV system as invisible and non invasive as possible was key. Pricing was good and I'm glad I didn't go with one of the "big player" of the business. You are in good hands at Urban Energy. It was a great experience all around with Mark being very helpful and responsive along the way.

Urban Energy Solar is Amazing!! Great work quality! Excellent customer service and follow-up. Loving our new Solar System for the pool.

I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later. Without making this review long and boring, let me just say Eric the owner, Rich the office manager and Zach the lead installer (and the rest of the crew) was great to work with from beginning to end. I was anticipating that there might be some issues adding batteries on to an existing system, with not only the installation itself, but with the approval process from Edison and the city. But Eric, Rich and Zach worked as a great coordinated team to get through any obstacles that came up. Anyone who's been through any type of home construction/remodel knows that nothing is perfect. But it's how the people you hired responds to those hiccups to make things perfect, is what counts the most. And I can honestly say NexGen exceeded expectations. In regards to value, Eric is upfront and says they are not the cheapest, but they are certainly not the most expensive either. So when it comes to my peace of mind, I'd gladly pay a little more. Go ahead and give them a call, I certainly will when I want to add even more batteries

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

It is now 9/14 and the project is still not complete, with almost no communication from the company about the delays. I've called multiple times, to multiple different numbers for updates and have not received any meaningful follow-up. I've emailed their "urgent assistance" address and only gotten automatic responses, with no actual reply from a human. Some of the issues we have experienced have been fixed (missing roof tiles, circuit breaker outages, hole in the side of the house), however others remain (poor labeling in primary breaker box where circuits were switched around, painting, actual activation) To make matters worse, our sales rep was fired in the middle of the installation process and no new rep was ever assigned, so we've had nobody to talk to about the status of our project. We recently received an email saying a "final inspection" will be completed this week, but that same email states that utility approval can take an additional 2-6 weeks after the final inspection. This means our system could end up being fully active three to four months after the original completion date of 7/20, costing us literally thousands of dollars and completely missing all of the summer months, which was the point of signing up for this when we did. To this date we still have not signed loan documents with their preferred Credit Union, something that our sales rep was assisting with before he was fired, and I expect that once our system is fully active that this will cause yet another delay. Delays can happen, but the complete lack of proactive communication or explanation from Semper Solaris has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. It looks cool, the batteries are pretty neat, but it would be great if the system that was installed a couple months ago was actually active and being used, instead of just sitting there doing nothing while its 100+ outside and our AC is running constantly. P.S. Before Jonathan was let go this whole process was smooth and communication was excellent, cheers to Jonathan.
