When I spoke with him about his charging my student $6.40 to launder a dress shirt, $14.25 to dry clean pants, $19.20 for dry cleaning a sports coat, he felt justified in charges outrageous prices. His logic is that the clothes come out clean and not destroyed. That is the goal of all dry cleaners, right? He is taking advantage of students. Had a few really nice Charles Tyrwhitt polos, after I received them back the colors were super faded (nice navy dark and nice dark green both got washed out). Then the collars of the polos were also left with marks that look like someone took sandpaper and rubbed them against it, just messed up. Oh and don't forget that they were shrunk - the sleeves are now pulled up, especially around the armpit it's just a super bad look. Completely ruined these shirts. As far as the quality and service, this place is top notch. The owner is very involved, accommodating, professional and very friendly. As a matter of fact, all of their staff is excellent. I would give them five stars but I think it's worth noting that their prices are very high. Even considering the current inflation trends, the prices are about 1/3 higher than what I would expect to pay for simple dress shirt cleaning/typical clothing. I hope they address that soon. Ruined my jacket! My husband dropped off my pink double breasted blazer on Monday 03/04...there were some stains on the sleeve and some noted pilling on the underside of the lower sleeve. He picked up the Blazer and brought it home.immediately, I noticed that the color was different. The bright pink color had a gray cast to it and no longer matched the lining of the jacket. I put the jacket on and the sleeves had shrunk at least an inch....the pilling not only remained on the sleeve, but one there was additional pilling on the left lapel and the right front of the jacket, over the breast. My husband immediately phoned Resciniti's and told the gentleman of the issues. HE asked my husband what fabric the jacket was made of...and then said to bring it in on Monday and he would look at it and replace it if necessary. I ordered a new jacket ($98.40).My husband went in first thing this morning, Resciniti's insisted they wanted to try to make it right... Even admitting that the color was not right and that the jacket somehow picked up a "tint". My husband questioned how they were going to lengthen the sleeves and restore the color and the gentleman accused him of being "combative". Now, they have my jacket, they gave no timeline of when I would get it back and they have the $17.80 I paid to have them ruin it. And I've paid $98.40 to replace it. A couple of years ago, I left a very nice suede bag in the trunk of my car overnight. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but it was also January, and I left a twelve-pack of soda in the trunk as well. So--exploding cans of soda, soaked, frozen, and stained suede bag, unhappy Jason. Stopped by for a winter coat to be cleaned. When I came to pick it up, I was told my total was $22.79. I thought it was a little high considering in the past it hasn't cost me that much to clean it and when I looked at the receipt I noticed a $6 charge for "Repairs" for tightening the 3 buttons on my coat. I didn't know I was going to get a car dealer type runaround with upcharging me for services I never asked for and needless to say I was not happy. My usual response would be to argue the charge but honestly, I walk out with the upperhand in this case. Yes, they were able to what I feel like is swindle me out of $6 but I have a lot of clothes that need to be dry cleaned, and I just won't go back to Resciniti to get them cleaned especially when there's the Bates Troy Laundry 500ft behind them. I know it's common practice to replace buttons on clothing brought to the dry cleaner but usually it's complementary or they at least ask you in advance if you're interested in button replacement should they see it necessary. read more

I recently moved to the area and was in search of a reputable dry cleaner. As far as dry cleaners go, Yelp wasn't a huge help. Minimal number of reviews on every place I looked at. I took a leap of faith (this place had 4 stars.. but only 4 reviews), and I'm glad I went here! Paul is the only person I've encountered in the times I've come by, but he's great! Very friendly and welcoming. I bring my white/lab coats here to have them cleaned and pressed. They do an amazing job with cleaning the gross dirty areas (the neck area and sleeve cuffs). The sign out front says cleaning done in 3 hours, but the jacket has both times taken a few days. I was given fair warning though because there was some work to be done. When I got my jacket back, the nasty areas were nice and clean. One star off (really, it should be half a star) because my jacket ended up with a dirty spot somewhere else on the jacket. I feel that it shouldn't be there since I brought my jacket to have it cleaned... and I'm leaving with a new mark. Aside from that, I'm a fan and will continue to bring my white coat here to have it cleaned. read more

I recently was told by an elderly woman who walks the streets of Binghamton daily, that she left a full length wool coat she has acquired at a 2nd-hand store at this dry cleaners over a year ago due to lack of funds. With the cold weather coming I thought I would help her out and went to pick it up for her. My experience with Resciniti began in 2006, when I needed to find someone to press my wedding dress. A professor I greatly looked up to (and who always dressed impeccably) recommended that I go to Resciniti, and told me that his wife trusted them with all of her gowns with delicate beading, etc, and had never ever had a problem with them. We have since used Resciniti for all our dry cleaning needs, and every interaction has been completely positive. The owner is the friendliest person ever, and will chat with you and take the time to understand your needs, no matter how busy things are. It is obvious that he really cares about his customers and they know and trust him, and like him, too. Some examples of their outstanding service: When I picked up my wedding dress, almost at Christmas and almost at closing time, he personally helped me load it into my very tiny car, and one of the employees followed to help, and kept telling me that I needed to hang it up as soon as I got it home so I wouldn't have any creases in the train. When our little puppy had a huge accident all down the front of my long wool coat, they told us that they may not be able to get it all out, but would do their best. I was quite concerned, but when we returned to pick it up, the coat was returned to us in new condition. Conclusion: We always recommend them if anyone mentions that they need dry cleaning, and I do so in confidence that they will not be disappointed by their experience. I firmly believe that superior service is well worth paying a bit more to guarantee, and after the dry cleaning horror stories everyone doubtless has heard, why risk your clothing with a questionable establishment? I tried Troy's around the corner prior to locating Resciniti's when I first moved to town and was unhappy with their lack of quality work.
