The service was great and I was able to walk out with a great partial wig. They had one that was a great color match for my natural hair, but it was a bit long. They cut the wig on site to help it better blend with my own hair. If I had not been able to find a wig in stock that worked for me, they would have created one just for me. Also, I can bring it back for cleaning or recurling/styling as needed. read more

Gina at Hanna wigs helped me at a vulnerable time. At first, I was reluctant to buy anything, but she was patient and helpful and kind. We picked out a wig I wasn't crazy about, but I was desperate. I told her I would return the following day to pick it up. When I returned, she had picked out a different wig which was unnoticeably different, but it fit, the color was nice and it was a quality wig. So, I bought it. Then, it turned fun! I went into this establishment looking for white wig caps. As a theatrical person I am a big wig user and often purchase wig supplies for myself and others. 1st- I stood at the door in the freezing cold and a lady watched me as I tried to get in. She was talking to another woman and she took her sweet time telling the other woman to buzz me in. 2nd- When I asked for white wig caps the lady who buzzed me in said "they don't make white wig caps." The other woman, the one who ignored me at the door originally actually LAUGHED... LAUGHED at how stupid I could be that I would ask for white wig caps. I have purchase white wig caps in the past and I am looking online and, lo and behold, white wig caps are a common commodity. 3rd- They wanted $3 for nude wig caps. Ricky's had them for $2 and they were much friendlier about it. I will NEVER EVER EVER return to this rude establishment for my wig needs. This is the type of place that laughs at you for asking a question... and then gives you the wrong answer. read more

I had the best experience yesterday at Hanna Wigs! I arrived at 10 -am when the shop opened and was immediately helped by Gina. I explained what I was hoping to accomplish and she went right to the perfect piece. More customers came in and were also helped promptly and kindly. I already have a human hairpiece that Cost as much as my 1st car!! I was shopping for an inexpensive piece that I could wear while being active and perspiring. Pretty ignorant and arrogant staff. I walked in, waited patiently until one of the women working there came over to me and asked how she can help me. I just wanted to explain in two quick sentences that I'm searching for a (old) wig/mannequin head as a prop for a photoshoot. Before I could even finish my sentence she said "No, we don't have that" and turned away. I left the store and she closed the door behind me that was left open when I entered!!! I don't know if she was judging me because of my more extraordinary fashion style or something but I think she could've stayed polite because I was asking a legit question and not for something absurd. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of their customized wigs, hairpieces and clips. Due to a major thyroid issue I lost a lot of my hair and they've really helped me through a hard time. They've made me feel glamorous and to this dayI I still use their pieces daily. Constantly, all of the staff goes out of their way to make time for me and even deliver to my apartment if I can't make it in on time. I went to Hanna Wig shop in the Fall of 2010 to film for the Real House wives of NYC.'I am a friends of Sonia MOrgan (who is doing a new toaster oven) and Sonia and I Tina Hillstrom did a few episodes together. Needed to say, as a blonde I was in search for a long Vidal Sason Cut in a brunesste . Low and behold I found Hanna on the internet and it was close to where Sonia's home is on the Upper East Side So of course I gladly walked to the destination. Well I was greeted with a big "Good Day of a Hello" I told the ladies of my needs and not only did they meet my desires they exceeded my expectations of of styles and prices Truley is was the quality of the hair pieces that were so out standing that I want more and just ordered another one. I have bought a wig once a year for the past 3 years from hannah. Spending over$ 1000.00 each time. The first 2 wigs were good. They lasted me a little under a year and I had no complaints about them. This year I purchased for $1100.00 what u thought was a good quality wig just as the other ones were. The first day it was nice. A week later the entire left side of the wig cap ripped. I had to sew it back until I had a chance to go back. Then the hair was falling out and it became ratty and tangled easy just a synthetic hair would. When I went back I asked for an exchange because of all the problems this piece was giving me. I didn't feel as if it was the a same quality as the others. Hannah refused to exchange it to me and proceeded to tell me the nappy mess was good hair. She then decided she would give me "the same exact one I had before" but for a discounted price of $500.00....... so $1500.00 later I have another piece of shit wig that is falling apart. I'm not a rich girl. I work hard for my money and save up to buy a wig each year. I will NEVER deal with this buisness again. And I feel sorry for the other people they screw over. read more

I was initially hesitant about purchasing a wig here, only because the customer service isn't great, and wigs are pricey ($500 + for a synthetic wig). It's run by an aunt & her niece, the aunt has a pleasant manner, but the niece simply seems incapable of any sort of graciousness. I purchased a wig from them for $550, and also all the products they recommended for it (the wig brush, the spray, etc.). I was on vacation and hardly wore the wig, except 2-3 hours every couple of days or so. So it mostly sat on the wig stand they recommended... and started frizzing up within a couple weeks. The bottom 4 inches look like very badly damaged hair. I stopped in twice to show them the state of the wig, and ask their advice. They refuse to offer any kind of reparation or replacement wig. The woman has just been nothing but rude from the moment I walk in the door. Her response to everything is to accuse the customer of doing something wrong. I would never return there. I have a few wigs from different shops, and have never had to deal with such terrible service. She repeatedly barked at me that that damage is normal for a synthetic or a human-hair wig! I have both type of wigs, take good care of them, and they definitely last for months before they start to frizz up. They place does not stand behind their products. Worst wig source. read more

I recently was in NYC visiting family and looking for a wig. I did my research online and set up appointments. Then last minute Hanna was recommended. After visiting 4 other highly regarded wig places - I found Hanna to have the right selection, color and most of all price. I wound up buying two great lace front wigs... one human hair and the other synthetic. I love both. After years of suffering from female pattern hair loss, I now have the confidence to go out in the world and feel like I have a head of hair that has me look beautiful. I also found Hanna to be patient and accommodating. Never once did I feel her pushing a sale. She worked with me - even though I came back a couple of times (as I was having a hard time committing). Once I bought the wigs, she then cut and styled them on me to really personalize my individual look. I asked her to add a couple of clips to secure them on my head - no problem.
