    They have sake!

I like this store I really do! Location - easy on and off the Turnpike, currently Exit 53. VERY EASY to find. Parking - well, the parking lot can be very crowded and a bit chaotic at 5pm - so much so that I won't go around that time if I have a choice. It's well lit and there aren't usually roaming carts. The customers are usually really good about using the cart racks or even bringing them back inside! I love the residents in this area. There are always carts and baskets available for use. They have CLYNK!! The entrance isn't noisy with bottle return noise and it doesn't smell like a frat house - stale beer/soda and it doesn't get too jammed up with people. The store is very clean, neat and organized. With that being said, some of the aisles are arranged in a confusing manner. Aisle 3 = Canned Soup, Canned Vegetables, Gravy, Skin Care, Hair Care, Body Soap.?? I know planograms can be difficult. And I guess if I had to rationalize it....if you ate a lot of gravy, you probably need some acne skin care?? maybe? The produce area transitions nicely to the local products and organic "healthy" aisles. I don't find that I have to back track, unless I forget something. I LOVE the pre-made to-go items, from the cheese and fruit containers to the sandwiches and soups near the deli. Healthy and seem fresh. I can usually find most of what I am looking for...EXCEPT - Bolthouse C-Boost. In the produce/juice section. It is random. What's frustrating for me, is that they try to fill in the space that is supposed to be for C-Boost and they aren't fooling anyone. It is inconsistent and disorganized in that section...hence why I am dropping one star at this time. The Deli team is very nice and friendly. Although they tried really hard, they were unable to find me a chicken salad option without celery :( They don't sell Willow Tree Chicken Salad. But they make up for it with all of the LOCAL products...here are a few of my favorites (but please don't buy them all, save some for me): Fox Chips - Simple, Natural Potato Chips, no others like them, Pineland Farm products - Cheese, Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Giffords, BEER...so many to name, baked goods - Marvelous Maple Sticks from Knowlton Corner Farm!! TRY THEM soo very good. The staff is energetic, sometimes friendly, but they are there to do there job not make friends, right? :) They are very efficient at the registers. At first I was dreading a store that didn't have self-check out or scan wands (like at Stop N Shop), but it doesn't matter because the experience isn't that bad. They are usually pleasant and bag things they way I would :) I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in a line. WIN! I will continue to use this store when I am in the area. It really is a great store.

It seems physically bigger (with wider aisles), like there's more options (if you've never perused their plant-based selection in the freezers... wow!), and in general it's just easier to navigate (the layout of the store and the parking lot). 1. This Walmart's parking lot is terrible. The entrance/exit is confusing, and people just drive through the spaces like it's an open field. Be careful friends! 2. You can't access the garden center from the outside, you need to go all the way inside, then carry all your plants back to the front to cash out. 3. They don't have tap to pay, so if you don't have your physical card with you... SOL, babe. 4. The store could use a deep clean. 5. The self check out kiosks are the worst (the employees guarding them are also super unfriendly). There's like eight of them and every single time I come, maaaaaaybe half are operational. They're clunky and slow. Don't get in line for this, the line with the actual cashier always moves faster.

For such a large store, with as many workers as they have; They have no respect for their customers when it comes to providing ANY customer service. I have been going to Walmart all my life for it's convenience. I know that if I were to stop going it probably won't make much of a difference. But with the inconvenience I have experienced with them, I would rather go out of my way to give my money and service to a store that respects their customers time and money. I didn't expect much Walmart, just for someone to answer the multiple phone calls you've been getting all morning.... Please don't shop at this store. They don't deserve your money.

First, some expectation setting- You can think of it as a first cousin to a grandma style or second cousin to a Sicilian. Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.

The pizza is great. I wish I had room in my suitcase to bring back other items, but it was fantastic to be able to stop by and really looking forward to going there the next time I'm back in Maine.

I was searching for a slice this afternoon and immediately knew my target when I saw a photo of the pillowy Sicilian pizza here. It was even better than it looked, and it looked great. The crust tastes like a fresh baked focaccia, the sauce has a lush flavor (the sauce was the star of the pizza if I had to choose), and the cheese was a substantial herb-topped layer without being heavy. It's also approximately 9 for a large "slab" that could easily be split for lunch. This is also some of the only pizza I've ever had that is similar to the Sicilian slices I had growing up in Cambridge and going to Armando's (for any Bostonians that may know!) so it had a nostalgic element for me. Must hit place for very memorable pizza.

One slice (a little under $10) is big enough to feed two hungry folks, or three if you're not that hungry. Other than the pizza, I'll take this opportunity to express my love and appreciation for Micucci. This Italian grocery store is as mom-and-pop as it gets, and the vibes, products, and prices show it! Their selection is so impressive; everything from oils to pasta to wines, and even a deli with all the best cheeses and meats (best guanciale in town!!!). I just love this place!
