There is a point in life where it's important to understand the layout of your local grocery store. That's why it's such a big deal when stores reorganize! Hint Whole Foods, hint Costco. Important things to know about the Standish Hannaford, the main roads in the plaza are one ways, the Clynk bin is always full and the machine rarely has Clynk sticker tape in it. There is a TD Bank ATM inside and the store is currently undergoing a renovation. Exciting but something tells me it will be rearranged. The deli sells the black pepper Cooper Sharp white American cheese. Highly recommend it.

The layout is confusing, the produce is sad looking (also - so specific, I know - but they don't carry many herbs; no dill or mint here, for example; very soggy looking berries), the overhead music is blasting so loud, the shopping carts are enormous and many seem to have one funky wheel, the space is small so the aisles are small and it feels like you're constantly in the shadow of shelves... I don't know, it's hard to explain. I think if you're looking for food/snack/grocery items, go to the Hannaford across the street (or the Shaws a quarter of a mile down the road). I understand the importance of this Walmart, seeing as it's ideally located en route to Sebago and you can stock up on all your camping/staycation essentials. As a local, I'd rather skip coming here entirely (even for using it as a convenient bathroom stop).

I forget how they explain it on the sign above the register. But it's food that otherwise I think would go to waste. The food is really good. I find all sorts of unique things and even some locally baked breads and treats. There's always fresh produce too. They grow some of it. They also have Christian greeting cards, which I love. And let me just say this about the choices, seems like whoever is ordering is only getting a brand they like and then only what they would choose. For instance they carry Brigham's ice cream, the only flavor, peppermint stick. I happen to like that type but why buy only one flavor. I've tried finding large cans on albacore solid white tuna and so many other things, that were always there before this group bought the store and can never find them. If you go there in the weekdays they have some very entertaining locals who often walk the aisles for something to do. You get shopping and entertainment all in one.
