You're probably wondering why a guy who lives in the east side of Nashua would come all the way here for a Hannaford. Only one reason: water. Okay, hear me out for a second. But we recently made the transition from small water bottles (I know, I know) to the 5 gallon refillable jugs. So far as I know, this is one of the only Hannafords close to me that offers a *mostly* straightforward machine that dispenses water in minutes AND....accepts all forms of payment, to include NFC. The reason I say "mostly straightforward" is because if this is your very first time using the water dispensary, payment can be a bit confusing. I must've spent 10 minutes trying to understand how to get the thing to accept payment. As I understand it, you apparently have to scan your phone for NFC payments TWICE. Once to get the machine to ask you to make a selection (pointless), and again to...ya know...actually pay for the water. Could've just kept it basic to the latter, but...whatevs. Btw, the other thing I should mention is that this is totally worth the drive, considering you only pay around two and a half dollars for every 5 gallons as of the time I'm writing this review. Other than that, probably my least favorite thing about this Hannaford is the parking lot and the way its entrances and exits are arranged. Not only is it co-located with a McDonald's (haven't seen this before), but the parking entrance is almost half a block away from the store. In other words, if you had to make a left turn onto Derry road, you'd have to use the exit with the traffic lights for a protected left. Also, having a drive thru right next to your grocery store is pretty cumbersome, but...maybe that's just me. It's your typical Hannaford, only with a really neat and convenient water dispensary located just inside the front entrance to your immediate right. I think every grocery store should have one of these, but I ain't the mayor of Nashua. Hannaford gets 4 conveniently placed water dispensaries out of 5. read more

Outstanding customer service! Unbelievable. Last night we ordered some lobsters and were waiting for them to get steamed. One of the managers stopped by and said "I've noticed that you've been waiting here for a long time. I apologize for that. Ask for Christina at the cashier's and we'll take care of you." And they did. Seriously. I thought "ok, they'll knock $2 or $3 off." Boy, was I wrong. It was a substantial rebate. I mean, huge! Just couldn't believe it! Every employee is polite and friendly. Hannaford to Go is a service we have been very much acclimated to during this time of social distancing. I placed an order at this store for the first time and came for my regular appointment time. They don't have a drive up area or signage. Just two spots on one side of the parking lot with the Hannaford-To-Go signs. Interesting. I called up the store as there were no buttons to press or numbers listed to call when you arrived. I was told they are not setup for curbside pickup and you need to go inside to get your items. What the heck is this? The staff tried to have me find a way to come in or have someone come in. That could not and would not be an option. After some discussion they came out to the car, took my credit card and went back into the store. Came out after running it and placed the groceries in the vehicle. This is NOT Hannaford-To-Go service as is the new norm and the website should state this BEFORE you place an order. Food we received was decent, watermelon was a bit gritty so not pleased there and the slices of Tiramisu were not impressive. Looked like a 4 year old cut them. read more

I am very appreciative for the convenience of curbside pickup at the Hudson, NH Hannaford. As a vulnerable senior citizen, I'm doing what I can to minimize the risk of contracting Covid-19. There are several parking spots reserved for curbside pickup (7 spots I think). When you arrive, you call the posted 800 number, announce your presence and parking spot number. Then an employee will bring out your order, take payment, and load your car. What makes it especially convenient is the system for adding items to my online grocery cart. I can use the simple search feature to find the items I need. Even better, it's easy to reorder previously purchased items. It's also handy that I can edit my order after it has been placed to add still more items. Furthermore, the recent addition of a pre-pickup follow up email listing substitutions for out-of-stock items is useful too. Finally, the employees are always polite and efficient delivering the order to my car. read more

Have been shopping here since 2010. Market Basket may be cheaper, but Hannaford is only 2 miles (versus 8 mi. for MB) from my house, so I come here a lot. The employees have all been very helpful to me (I have mobility issues), and very kind. I can usually find everything I need here, even though it's a smaller store than Londonderry or Nashua. If I use coupons, I can afford to buy more. Hannaford now has "My Hannaford," a new rewards program that is pretty useful. All in all, I enjoy shopping here, even if a lot of my favorite items get discontinued. read more

Hannaford in Hudson has extremely rude nighttime management teams. I had a very negative experience with Tammy and the night manager on Tuesday 4/5. They had a long line and big orders in front and CLEARLY should have opened another register. They rejected this option and were rude and unprofessional. Shame on them!! read more

I've found the staff here to be frie fly and helpfu! Plus, they have consistently keep items in stock that I was unable to get at other supermarkets!! I know its a tad more expensiv, but it's worth it to know things will be available when I go there. Thank you. read more

Ordered my wifes birthday cake here this week. I wanted a patriots theme with Gronk on it. The girl that took my order was great. Im not sure if she is the girl that did the cake but it was awesome. I love the wing bar here. Being that I am an awesome eater, I really find value there. They've got various fried chicken parts and occasionally fried non-chicken parts (mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers) that you can load up on. Last I bought, it was $5.99 per pound. Typing that, it seems high, but I usually get quite a bit of food and don't get more than a pound I guess. But I digress - this place is never very busy, which I like. The parking lot can be a disaster sometimes since people don't know how to drive. I like the single queue to checkout. It's much better than the madness at other grocery stores - much more orderly. I think it's silly that they have someone stand there and tell you when and what checkout line to go to when you get to the front of the line. I typically ignore them and choose whatever line I want to be in. They have 2 self-checkout stations but, really, why am I going to use those? If I wanted to do work, I'd get a job. I prefer to eat chicken wings and play Sega all day long. I also have no idea how the weighing of chicken wings works. I understand that I would put my chicken wing container down on the self-checkout scale but then I'd need to punch in a code. I bet there's some sort of navigation system on the screen to guide you to finding what you're weighing. It would be easier if the chicken wing containers had a UPC on them for me to scan. They also have a salad bar but salad can go pound sand. read more

I choose this Hannaford because it is so close to home. I like the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the store. There are three items that I requested and they refused to stock. I have to drive all the way to Market Basket to get these items. I wish I could say i liked this hannafords more as it is conveniently located, but I am always disappointed by their produce section. Mold on strawberries and other fresh berries is a regular occurrence, plus their assistant manager is not very customer oriented read more

This is the worst Hannaford in NH. Hardly anywhere near the selection the other Hannaford's have and they constantly discontinue items. There are so many items I have to go elsewhere to find. I find myself mumbling how much I hate this store when I'm shopping there but unfortunately it is the only grocery store near me. I do sometimes go to Market Basket and even Shaw's in Londonderry and am blown away by their great selection. No comparison to this sad Hannaford. read more

The store being remodeled was an OK move. The single line style checkout is unique, and I think it has pluses and minuses; mostly the plus is that larger baskets can be served faster with the ability to have 2 clerks scanning at 1 time. There's a big difference between here and Market Basket. Hannaford is set up so that people who shop at the mid end can have value, meaning processed store brand stuff that Market Basket primarily features costs more here. For example, let's analyze ice cream (one of my few treats). Sure, you'll pay more for low end store brand ice cream, but if you're looking for something that tastes good and is at least mostly natural, Breyers is the same price typically, and the store carries Gifford's (Market Basket doesn't carry this brand), which is a good alternative pricewise to other premium brands since there is a savings if you buy 1/2 gallon in this brand over similar brands, such as Brighams. Also, this is the only store I've found a reasonable price on fat free cream cheese. However, quality tends to be better and I tend to throw out less of what I buy when I shop here. I find that I can plan a lot of the perishables I buy around their sales, and still find good buys on everything else. Also, I tend to wait a lot less when I shop here (that is, when I shop any Hannaford vs any Market Basket). read more
