Towson could totally benefit from more good breakfast spots and Hannah's did not disappoint. I came in and took advantage of the 410 breakfast burrito deal, which came with tots (woo!). I also ordered a matcha lemonade, a side of chicken salad for my lunch later that day, and their chocolate mandel bread. Here's my take on the food: - the breakfast burrito was generously sized and stuffed and overall tasty. It came with sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños to add to your liking. - the matcha lemonade was perfection. I highly recommend. - the chicken salad was good, but potentially a bit on the dry side. It had big chunks of chicken in it, which I appreciated, but that also potentially added to the dryness. I would try this again just to be sure it wasn't a one off. - full transparency, I didn't get to eat the mandel bread as the kids got to them first. Clearly no complaints there, so looking forward to picking up more for myself on my next visit. The people were so friendly and the food came freshly made in relatively short order. I'm excited to come back and try some of the other menu items because it all sounds yummy. read more

Cute little shop nestled in an office building off the beaten path in Towson. Parking is a little hard, but we were able to find street parking within a couple of blocks on a Sunday morning. There are a few parking garage options too in case you can't find street parking. Hannah's has a ton of items on their menu, lots of sandwiches I want to try! But we both opted for the breakfast burrito (I am a sucker for them) and they were on special (410 deal for June). The breakfast burrito tasted homemade, in the best way! It was delicious with thick bacon, smashed tots, avocado and egg. Sour cream, salsa, and even fresh sliced jalapeños came on the side, we were stoked for the jalapeños! It even came with tots or fries on the side. Very filling indeed. I also got a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla syrup, it was strongggg and delicious. I highly recommend. They have a few tables inside.. but more importantly... They have outdoor seating!! I was surprised that they had two big outdoor tables with red umbrellas. There are even benches outside in the little park across the street where you can eat as well. Lots of benches all over this part of town, fyi. The lady working was so so nice, they have only been open for two months, but the food and drinks were great, I hope that they do well! Can't wait to come back! read more

A new hidden gem in Towson! For years I've been saying there is really not a great place to grab a sandwich and salad in Towson. Thanks to Hannah's, we now have a great new option. Menu: breakfast is served all day, lots of sandwiches, soups and salads and specials of the day. They also had chicken tenders which was perfect for my kids. Atmosphere: very clean and a few tables inside. A covered outdoor area for seating as well. Menu is very easy to read and visible. Service: extremely friendly and very quick! Food: the breakfast burrito was super tasty! I appreciated the added side of sour cream, salsa and house made pickled jalapeños. My husbands club was great as well. We both concluded their tots weee some of the best we have ever had. My kids enjoyed the tenders. The only negative I have is parking can be a little tricky in this area but we parked in the Whole Foods lot and grabbed some items from there on our way out for free parking. read more

I tried Hannah's Cafe for Sunday brunch. I ordered the western omelette and asked if I could have everything bagel with cream cheese. I also ordered an iced coffee. The omelette was small but tasty. Their breakfast potatoes are tater tots which were delicious and hot. I wasn't told that the bagel change would be an up charge and that they'd charge for the side of cream cheese, too. There was confusion about the iced coffee, almost like the staff wasn't used to people ordering it. Generally, their counter and expo area seemed unorganized and inefficient. A few other customers were also flummoxed by the setup of ordering and waiting. I counted nine people working, which seemed like too many for the amount of orders happening. read more

We're so lucky to have this great new cafe in downtown Towson. Awesome coffee from local roaster Thread, food is fantastic, and the team is super warm. The coffee got even better when they added an espresso machine, and make fantastic drinks. My fave is the macchiato. My daughter loves their chai latte. It's now my go to spot for breakfast in Towson. I get the breakfast burrito which tastes great and is filling. They make it with a fun twist by adding tater tots right in the burrito. Walking in, it felt peaceful. It seems like the place where you can come, sit at one of the tables and study or complete a homework assignment. They also had seating outside as well! I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on sour dough bread and it came with a side of tater tots (which I was so happy to see!) They even brought my food to me which I thought was so nice! In my opinion, I think the sandwich could have been better, it filled me up a little, but the sandwich was a little dry to me. Or maybe I should have just put some jelly on it.... Kind of wish it was warm enough to enjoy as well. Been here twice now for work lunches and got the Power Bowl both times! Also tried some of the baked goods which are GOOD! Power Bowl tastes fresh and delicious. Love the hummus with it. Used to be one of my favorite places to eat lunch in Towson, for over a year now. My friend and I would go almost weekly as this is walking distance from both our places of employment. A little over a month ago, there was a special - half sandwich and Maryland crab soup. My friend is a pescatarian and knows Maryland soup is beef-based. She asked the two girls who typically take our order if they could substitute for tomato soup. Something she never likes to do mind you. Ask for special consideration. They flat out said no, and that was that. So to be clear, my friend asked for soup that is obviously lower in cost and she also explained why she wanted the change. They wouldn't budge. She had to buy separately a soup and a sandwich. This of course cost more for her. It was upsetting as we are regular customers and even if we weren't, this was a simple substitution and not for a silly reason. All they had to do was have someone dip the ladle into a different soup. I posted a review about this and it prompted a call from Sue, almost immediately. Sue knew us from another nearby deli that closed and would on occasion come out and say hi. Always very gracious. I thought Sue would kindly tell us normally no substitutions but she understood why this might be an exception and then handle it with the staff. She left a message. I called back but also had to leave a message, and was never called again. Figured she probably handled it and things would be fine moving forward, regular customer or not. That all said, we love the food, so we chalked it up as one bad experience and have been back repeatedly. Since my review and expression of disappointment as to how this was handled, my friend and I have been treated with a cold shoulder from both girls who are behind the counter every time we go. Night and day difference to how they used to be. Very obvious they know about the complaint. No longer a nice experience going there. At all. No longer comfortable with these two girls handling my food. At all. Clearly incapable of handling criticism and rectifying the poor handling of a situation. Makes me sad to say this. We used to be greeted with smiles and a warm welcome and a great lunch. No more. All of this could've easily been fixed with a return call and a minor adjustment to apparently some policy of don't give anyone a different soup, at all cost, whatever you do! I was really excited to try this new cafe in Towson, but was quite disappointed with the results. It seemed that their breakfast burrito was a hit so I thought to give it a try, but I found it very oily. I wish there had been less oily to make it more appetizing to eat. In addition, the fruit didn't seem that fresh as it didn't taste as appetizing as it seems. (I don't blame the cafe for this as it's hard to tell which fruit might taste sweet) I was glad to have ordered the fruit to balance the oil ratio. However, I did appreciate them giving me salsa to manage eating the burrito because otherwise I don't think I'd have been able to eat it. It was very filling but I really wish it wasn't as oily and had more seasoning. read more

I have visited Hannah's Cafe twice now and have had some tasty food! My first visit was the chicken salad sandwich while my second visit was the breakfast burrito without the bacon. The burrito comes with smashed tots inside plus a side of tots. You can switch out the side to fries or fruit (additional charge for fruit). Both portions were good for the pricing and definitely filled me up! All the staff is very friendly and my food was accurately prepared in a timely manner. There are tables to sit and eat inside plus a few outside. They offer some homemade desserts as well. While I didn't get to snap a picture, definitely try out the banana bread when you're there. This hidden gem is great for a quick brunch/lunch. The menu is extensive but I wish it had a few more vegetarian options. The space is clean and nicely decorated but it's quite small. I grabbed the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was very good. The grilled cheese had nice bread and gooey cheese. The soup was rustic like and it was filling and I thought fair value. The young lady working the counter was busy. She was nice but a bit rushed. I waited less than 10 minutes for the made to order which is important in Towson during lunch hour. Other people at my work have picked up things that always look good. I have not heard any complaints. read more
